    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and my acceptable resolution would be to get my car repaired from the damages George smith towing caused to my car. This will mean that a rental car or reimbursement for *****  will need to be given to me until my car can be repaired as I am a nurse and need to get to work at off hours of the day.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I used the word more as in “more” than **** already damaged my bumper from the tow. There is no way the bumper was damaged prior to the tow. Nonetheless, there is video of the bumper being crushed. I don't want to do the back and forth. You all know what you did.

However, in your response you admit to having prior bumper damage when you state you have a video of the driver messing the vehicle up, keyword, "MORE."

    The complaint states there is video of this incidient. Please provide the proper video footage. Also, to confirm George Smith Towing was the tow provider and to properly look into this please provide a copy of the receipt of being towed.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    On this specific date in August the Warehouse apartment complex was FULLY aware that residents were moving in that day. Erin, the Warehouse manager informed me that earlier that day, she told this TOWING company was told NOT to tow. This was due to the fact that on that specific day many residents were moving in to their apartments and additional cars might be on the premises- in the garage that day. Erin, from the management at the Warehouse, also informed me that she had to tell the George Smith Towing Company to leave the premises multiple times that day because they were just waiting to tow any possible vehicle that they could. The administrative office of the Warehouse apartment building closes at 5:00 daily. Therefore, how or why would the complex CALL, as stated in the towing company's response, to have cars towed? How could law enforcement be called after 5, if the office closes at 5. Once again, The Warehouse office manager, Erin, informed me that George Smith Towing Company just waits in the garage to " grab" cars that could be cited for parking violations, and this is how they make their money. The response of the company is disappointing and alarming especially since we frequent Philadelphia often and this type of shady business behavior has never happened before.

    after 5:00 pm when they KNEW management had left for the day and towed the car. On this day the management company told them to leave THREE times and not to tow anyone because people were moving in today. She said they LURK around and wait to tow cars away!

    10TH, 2022, at 6:16 PM, George Smith Towing, Inc. towed a vehicle
    for being illegally parked, ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, located at* * *** ******,
    PHILADELPHIA, PA *****. George Smith Towing, Inc. and the property owner of
    this property have an agreement, which is required by the City of Philadelphia,
    to tow any vehicles ON THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY. The property owner called George
    Smith Towing to tow this vehicle ON THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY as well as they
    called the law enforcement to ticket this vehicle. THE PHILADELPHIA PARKING
    AUTHORITY, BADGE #*** ticketed this vehicle at 5:08 PM, ticket #*********, a
    picture of the ticket is attached. Police radio, badge #***, cleared George
    Smith Towing to tow the vehicle, which was a make, *****, model, *, color,
    BLACK, plate, *********, for BEING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY at this location at 6:16
    PM back to their impound located at **** ***** **** **,
    Philadelphia, PA *****, where the vehicle CAN BE RELEASED DURING THE BUSINESS
    HOURS OF MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8:00AM-6:00PM & SATURDAY-SUNDAY 8AM-4PM. PAYMENTS
    ACCEPTED DURING BUSINESS HOURS CAN BE BY CASH OR CREDIT CARD. On, AUGUST 10TH,
    2022, ******* *********, paid $205.00 by CASH for the retrieval of this
    vehicle. Attached is a signed receipt, signs posted at the property, and
    pictures of the vehicle illegally parked.
