  This company is robbing patients with dr everything in USA is a scam from dr to hospitals and especially this company. I will not pay them a penny for the robbery they do. They apparently care about patients health and heart then they start sending you those crazy bills for renting a vest. They change my insurance over 2k now they want $600 from me. NOTHING BUT ROBBERY. I hope one day we can have some normal person in charge to fix the health system robbery.

  05/25/2022 I had atrail heart flutter .They shocked my heart and got it back to where it should be.Along comes a **** rep.She had my name messed up causing me an extra 2 days in the hospital.I was informed I would not be released until I signed up for the vest.I said what you are saying is I can't go home until I put that vest on.The doctor must have been a good friend of **** rep's because he ordered it.I refused it and said I will unplug myself and go home now.THEN I was warned that insurance would not pay anything on my stay if I walked out.I was in a (catch 22) situation.My last name is NEW the rep wasted 2 days because she kept thinking I was a new patient.This vest is miserable to wear.It would go off for no reason.Today on 11/13/2023 18 months later I get a bill for $616.19 .I am not going to pay it.I was forced into it.I was held over 2 days on account of the Zoll rep.The rep told me if I did not acept the vest my stay would not be covered and I would owe the hospital thousands of dollars.**** has a crappy way of doing business scareing old people like that.I was 2 months from turning 82 years old and vulnable and wanted to go home.On a scale of **** I give **** reps a minus 10.

  I was diagnosed with cardiac heart failure and my doctor sent a lady to my home that brought me a Zoll Lifevest to wear. No mention of costs involved. I wore it the first month but grew tired of the bulkiness while at work and it sat in the original box while I waited for someone to tell me what to do with it. No one called and said it was offline. No call from the *************** I finally had a follow up visit and asked the doctor what to do with it and I ended up getting a call from the lady that brought it out with instructions on how to ship back. Out of the blue I get a bill for $1,340.33. They were charging my insurance company $4720.00 per month!! That's more than the unit probably even costs to build. They never sent a bill prior to this so I just get a surprise bill. I refused to pay it so they are sending me to collections. This is their method of operation. Read all the other comments. They do not disclose anything upfront.

  Was told I had to wear it home from hospital because I was diagnosed with heart failure. Wasn't given a choice. Was told my insurance would cover it. Within a week of being home the paddles other back of the vest started burning my back. Called the company they sent out a rep and a different vest. It did the same thing. So I told my doctor I would not wear it. Sent it back in March of 2023. I just now received a bill for this thing for close to $800.00 on October 10, 2023. Today is October 13th and they are calling me about payment. Are you flipping kidding me!!! If they tell you that you need this to live they are lying. It's all about the oh mighty dollar. If I could leave a zero I would!

  I would never tell anybody to use this company I was told by ******* at extension ***** that you can charge me two months when I only have it for one month if you want my bills from my hospitals to prove differently, I sent it back on the seventh and she said thats not good enough. I supposed to send it back by the second.

  Left the hospital on April 19th, after they put the fear of death in you that without this vest you will die. They also said it was completely covered…..a big lie. Cost is way over $600 a month and have had this on for over 5 months. Having defiberlater implanted Oct. 5 2023 and that is when we will send it back. They have put a fear in me that I will die if I take it off. It was made for a man not a woman with breast. If you are not twiggy the band rolls. I have redness and my life for the past 5 months has been living in fear and so uncomfortable day and night. I don’t want to go out for fear it will just go off. I hate it and am so sorry and mad 5 months of my life have been taken from me.

  Well, I must say I agree with all the reviews. I wish in our vulnerability state of mind I would have thought to do my homework on this money hungry company. My husband was in heart failure around Christmas time in 2022. They weren't going to let him go home without the life vest. Knowing it was costly we were told that my husband's insurance would cover it. Once home it didn't take us long for it to malfunction. Blinking lights my husband was scared that it was going to shock him when it wasn't necessary too. We called the number provided and told them of our situation and that we were very dissatisfied with the vest. We didn't want it in the first place and we're returning it in the original box and shape we received it in. The Christmas holidays made it impossible to return it right away. My husband was more comfortable with the vest off of him. He was able to sleep better and not get tangled up in all the wires, and the weight of the battery pack was insane. They wouldn't refund nor prorate the days we had it in our possession, before returning it. I'm thinking if we could get an attorney to handle all these familiar situations. We would be able to fight them and save others from going through the same thing. BE WARE of this ZOLL life vest company. How can they sleep at night knowing they are taking advantage of people in their most vulnerable frame of mind. I can't believe that they are allowed on the cardiac floors at the hospital. We will have to start carrying No Solicitating signs with us all the time (put it in your glove compartment).

  If I could write a review without any stars I would. We were misinformed as to the use of this vest and told we were covered with our insurance. The vest had two false alarms - the first one so upset my husband he had a fib from it, which caused us to spend another day in the ** room. The ** bill was $7100.00. It was uncomfortable, unreliable and gave us a false sense of security. At one point the message box went off stating data not being received and to call the company. When calling we were told that if data doesnt go over after 7 days on the 8th day you receive an alert! What happened to he was being monitored everyday? No one is looking or alerted to any issues unless you call. The patient should not be left alone as someone has to be there in case it does go off - Their site says the cost is $3372.00, but in actually they charge $4720.00 per month and do not pro-rate the monthly charge. Because you sign for responsibility to pay at a very vulnerable time and even ask what the cost is at the time, their representatives can tell you anything when you take it. When we did received a bill and called the company, their representative said you should have read the booklet. They need to deal with reality- just having a heart attack your going to read through a manual or will you rely on what a representative from their company is telling you? Even our Doctor was misinformed as to how it works when we spoke with him and he ordered it! We were not covered for the entire cost and are going to fight the additional charge to us. This medical cost is ridiculous for this unit -

  They take full advantage of people who are most vulnerable with fear and deception telling people don't worry you got insurance never telling you how much your part is and after terrible customer service not having the right information phone number and name or price inwhich they lied about price so I sent back after 2 weeks and still trying to charge full amount

  Same as everyone else, I was "forced" to get it, they actually showed up at my house. Now yesterday, 7/27/2023 **** sends me a bill for $39,000.00. This is crazy, these people are ruthless, I have lost everything after a dumb cardiac arrest thing, wife gone, job gone, stuck in friends basement (thank God), help from government not until everything is all gone, insurance not great so I can't afford meds, mental health is as bad as ever, can't afford cardiac rehab, now **** want's $39,000.00 too. it was easier to just die.
