I was using the All Washed ******* and had an unlimited monthly membership. On one occasion I took my 2020 Chevrolet Pickup through the wash and when I took looked at the truck afterwards and I found that there was brush marks the entire length of my vehicle on both sides. It appeared that there was mud or too much pressure on the brush rollers and scratched my truck.I went back to the carwash and spoke with an employee and he took pictures of my vehicle along with the mileage. The employee then provided me with a complaint form at which time I compiled the complaint and the complaint was then provided back to the employee. The employee advised that within seven days I would hear back from the ************* days business days went by at which time I called the carwash and they advised that the manager needed to see my vehicle, arrangements were made at which time I took my truck back out for the manager to look at. I was met by the manager (***) and he looked at my truck and proceeded to tell me that I drive a ********* and they have problems all the time with this make of vehicle in the car wash. *** further stated that he submitted my complaint to the corporate office and the complaint was denied and that corporate office was not willing to repair my truck. *** then advised that he was willing to attempt to fix the truck with a scratch remover solution. After speaking with him, I advised that I was going to think about it as I was uneasy about *** attempting to fix the scratches on his own with no certifications or insurance. I then went to ************************** in ******* at which time they observed the scratches and advised they believed the scratches would come out by "buffing" the truck. I also asked the ******* Motor Employee if ********* used a lesser quality paint, like *** advised me, at which time they advised "No".All Washed up continues to refuse to fix the scratched stating their carwash was working appropriately.

We understand you are concerned about scratches found on your 2020 Chevrolet pickup after using our All Washed Up Auto location. We regret that you had this experience and want to assure you that we conducted a full review of your complaint in accordance with our standard procedures.
As part of our investigation, we confirmed the following:
On the day in question, our equipment was fully operational and functioning within manufacturer specifications.

A total of 177 vehicles were washed at our facility on that same day, and no other damage reports were received.

Our staff followed protocol by documenting your report, collecting relevant information, and escalating the concern to management for review.

We understand that our manager also offered to inspect your vehicle in person and proposed using a scratch removal solution to help address the issue, in good faith. While this offer was made to assist you, we also respect your decision to decline and pursue a professional assessment elsewhere.
As per your report, ************************** advised that the scratches may be removed by buffing, which is consistent with minor surface marks often associated with normal wear and tear from regular use, rather than a malfunction of our wash system. Additionally, we want to clarify that all of our equipment is maintained regularly and was confirmed to be operating properly on the day your vehicle was washed.

Carwash malfunction ** stopping the vehicle in front of me. In turn I hit the back end of that vehicle stopping my movement. At that point the brushes hit the tailgate of my 2019 Silverado causing deep gouges the entire length of the tailgate. My vehicle is meticulously maintain** and garage kept therefore it was not "key**" as the car wash representative told me. Additionally, he stat** the damage was detect** prior to me entering the wash however was not willing to provide me with the video. I was a loyal carwash customer with 2 monthly contracts and just want the owner to make this right. In reading the BBB complaints, I am not the only one having issues and it seems as if the deny all claims. I will not let this issue go away and will do what I can to warn others about their unwillingness to take blame and make compensation to their clients.

      Hello *******,

We understand you are frustrated with the determination of your damage claim. However, our claims department thoroughly reviews all reports of damage to vehicles in our car wash. The video shows that there was no malfunctions during the wash process that could have made the deep scratches in your tailgate. We hope you are able to find the root cause of the scratch, but are confident after review that the damage was not related to your car wash that day.

Manager did speak eith me on 10/15 and offered to have company detail guy complete a detail to have substance removed. Manager called again on Oct 16th and syated they decided that they are not willing to do anything to rectify the damage.        Hello,

Thank you for your letter regarding the issues you experienced with your ***** Silverado at our All Washed Up Auto Spa location. I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.

I understand you noticed the damage prior to your visit on October 14th and that you met with our Regional Manager, ****, to discuss it before using the wash again. After ****** assessment, it was concluded that the marks likely resulted from an external substance rather than from our wash process. We operate nine car washes and have never encountered a similar issue. In fact, we washed over ***** vehicles at our ********* location in October alone without any complaints.

During your meeting with ****, it was agreed that you would cover the cost of buffing your vehicle before returning for another wash with him present. While we offered to provide you with the contact information for a mobile detailer, we did not agree to cover the cost of removing the substance unless the buffing was completed first and you returned to confirm that the issue would not persist.

You also declined an invitation to meet with **** again for a tour of our facility, where you could see samples of our wash cloth material and the chemicals used in our process.

As noted, our policy regarding liability for vehicles over five model years old is clearly stated in our disclaimers, which applies to your 2011 model. This is why the formal damage claim you submitted on October 14th was denied by the claims department. This policy is designed to protect both our customers and our business.

While we value your feedback, this matter has been thoroughly reviewed, and we consider it resolved.

      Thank you for your understanding.

      Best regards,

I own a 2023 Chevy Silverado LTZ with an expensive paint package, I recently went through the All Washed Up Auto Spa at the Uniontown location, after returning home and looking at the truck, I saw that it was covered with scratches and swirls over the entire truck. I took it back to the car wash immediately to report the damage that was done to the truck by the car wash and filed a damage claim. I was contacted a week later by the Site Manager, Michael Ellis who informed me that "my claim was denied because of the type of wash I purchased, the "Spa Sampler" that this wash uses very little soap and is basically a wet wash that will cause this type of result, "damage". That is exactly the statement that was made for the denial by him and he said that was what he was told by the Claims Office, When I asked for the number and address for the “Claim office”, he said there is none. They do not advertise nor publish any type of disclaimer or refusal of responsibility regarding this type of damage. Their position pertaining to any of the wash packages is one of go through at your own risk. for any business to not be more responsible or dedicated to the quality of service they provide is an indication of a "catch me if you can" attitude regarding their integrity to customers and the quality of their service. It has cost me $422.94 to have paint on my vehicle repaired and was told by the repair shop that there are scratches they couldn’t be repaired and that the clear coat on the paint has been permanently damaged. I have the invoice for the repair work on my vehicle.

      Hello,

We have carefully reviewed your claim regarding the condition of your vehicle after your visit to our Uniontown location. Our investigation included a thorough review of the 4K video footage taken before and after your wash. The footage did not reveal any surface scratches or swirls on your vehicle either before or after it went through the wash.

On August 14th, 2024, we serviced 335 vehicles at our facility, and there were no other reports of similar issues. Our equipment functioned properly throughout the day, including during your use of the wash, and there were no malfunctions or operational failures by our attendants.

Regarding the "Spa Sampler" wash Unlimited Package you selected, we would like to clarify that this wash is very safe to use. However, it does not include additional protections like a clear coat sealer, wax, or ceramic coating. Over time, using friction-based washes without occasionally applying wax or buffing to protect the clear coat can lead to swirling, especially with frequent or excessive use.

Based on these findings, your claim has been denied. This decision is final, as there is no evidence to suggest that the damage to your vehicle was caused by our equipment or services.

      Thank you for your understanding.
      Sincerely,

      All Washed Up Auto Spa

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
I purchased the wash package at this location and have not gone to any other car wash, furthermore , I would like to see the video they refer to that indicates there were no scratches on my truck after going through the car wash. Immediately after filing the claim of damage with the car wash, I had two estimates done for the damage and in both cases the person doing the estimate stated that this damage is clearly the result of a car wash using brushes and that they be had seen this before, both said they  would be willing make statements to that.

On 9/6/2023 I went to All Washed up Autospa. I deemed it too rough and never went back. Today when paying my credit card I noticed a payment from All Washed up Auto spa for 38.47 since October 2023. I called them and Tom answered and said , you must have accidentally signed up for a monthly subscription. He promptly credited 3 months and canceled the subscription. When I told him it was 8 months, he told me he can only credit 3 months. I am looking to get the other 5 months credited.

      Hello,

We are sorry to hear about your experience, but glad to hear that Tom was able to quickly refund you the last 3 months of charges. Our corporate refund policy and the limitations of our point of sale system only allow us to refund transactions that are still in the system from the previous 90 days. We would be happy give you the months of service that you previously paid for. We will have our Regional Manager reach out to you to discuss. Looking forward to finding a resolution to your problem.

March 16. 2024 my husband took his truck through the car wash. Immediately after coming home we noticed many scratches. My husband went back up to the car wash, showed the manager on duty, and filed a claim. Pictures were taken. After many phone calls to the manager, a phone call with regional manager Mr Rick S*******, we were told the damages were not covered and at no fault to the company. I'd also like to mention that Mr S****** said he viewed the truck as it entered the car wash via 4k camera and he noted a "red truck". My husband's truck is BLACK. We asked for the business to pay for the truck to be buffed as we do feel that will take care of the damages. My husband bought his truck within the the past 6 months and the original pictures are available by the dealership to show their were no scratches at the time of purchase.

Our claims department fully reviewed your claim and determined that the damage you have posted was not caused by our carwash. Your vehicle and the vehicles in front of you were properly prepped before entering the carwash. There was no malfunction with the equipment during your wash and the equipment was fully inspected after your claim was filed and there were no issues found.

I signed up for a monthly wash account at All Washed Up when it was brand new. I used the car wash maybe 5-6 times from December 3rd until February. My Jeep had just been repainted a few months ago, so I know that the paint was pristine and I had never used a car wash with my vehicle. The Jeep had always been hand washed by me, but I figured that a new, state-of-the-art wash facility should not damage my paint. I was wrong! The sides of my Jeep looked like someone had methodically taken a Brillo pad over the paint evenly on both sides. I ended up having to pay $500 to a local auto detailing company for multi-stance paint correction. I also work with sever others who paid for paint correction after using the All Washed Up Auto Spa in Uniontown. The detailer said that the best thing that ever happened to him was that car wash moving into town because he’s getting rich from all of the paint corrections he is doing now.

      Hello **********

We take all customer claims of damage very seriously. We have no records of your damage being reported at the site level.

After looking into your account usage the last time you washed at our Uniontown facility was 1/29/24, this better business bureau complaint received 3/4/24 is our first notice of the claim of damage. Unfortunately, we will not be able to investigate the damage in question because of the amount of time that has passed from your last visit to the report of damage.

If we had received the report of damage while surveillance video was still available we would have been able to take photos of the damage in question and submit them, along with video of your wash cycle, to our claims department for further review. At this point we have no way of even seeing what the damage in question looked like, because you have had the vehicle painted prior to alerting us of any issue.

We have not received any similar claims of damage at our Uniontown location. We will not be able to pay out your claim for the reasons stated above.

      Sincerely,

      All Washed Up Auto Spa

If All Washed Up Auto Spa truly cares about customers and customer service, they will reimburse me for my paint correction. Also, the “manager” who called me to discuss this yesterday was rude and started out the conversation by telling me that they were not going to pay my claim…even before he investigated. He admitted that he hadn’t even read the whole complaint.

I will take this as far as I need to take it because it do not think it is fair for this company to outright dismiss me and my claim of damage.

Just because you don’t have other complaints doesn’t mean it’s not happening. The Uniontown location has no way to speak to an employee because the entrance takes you into the car wash tube itself and most of the employees stand out back and smoke all day anyway.

I have been paying for a car wash membership that i did not know of. I went to one of the All Washed Up Auto Spas location for the first time a couple months back and ever since then I have now been paying for a membership that I never signed up for. I did not realize this until recently looking at my bank statement, have tried to contact them about it and have never heard back. I do not wanna be paying for this membership because I do not get my car washed enough for it to be worth it, and like I said before i never signed up for this.

Below is a copy of the email that I have sent to the business - All Washed Up -- after asking them (via phone to the 7250 Salsburgh Rd, Penn Hills location) to stop the unlitmited monthly service that I called to have stopped in May of 2023. I continue to be charged on the following dates: 5/28, 6/28, 7/28. 8/28, and now 11/28. I have to confirm if I was charged for September and October. I have called the location above and spoken to workers and the manager 3 times over the course of these dates and NOTHING has been done. I would like a full refund of the above dates and for the unlimited service to be stopped. -------------------- "Hi, I am emailing to have the membership service stopped once again. I have called and spoken to the workers and the manager since May of 2023 at the 7250 Saltsburg Rd, Penn Hills, PA 15235 location many times. I have asked for the service to be cancelled and I continue to be charged for this service dating back to May 2023. I would like a FULL refund of all services charged since May 2023 considering I called and spoke to the manager who stated he would have the service stopped. It is now November and I see that $26.70 was charged AGAIN to my account for a service I cancelled back in May. I truly would like to have this resolved so that I do not have to resort to other means. Thank you for your attention to this matter. "
