I was charged a wire fee for money that was send to me from my father in Germany.
He sends money for birthdays and Christmas every year.
This time they charged me $15 on a $200 deposit to my account.
When we called they said it was always their policy and they would not reverse the charge.
That is a lie we have never been charged before.Business Response

This is a bank I am currently associated with and on 9/3 they took funds out of my savings account with out prior notification. I have been with this bank since 2006 and never had a problem up until now. I want my money refund back to my account. I am sure I’m not the only person they have blindsided!Business Response

I was trying to use the atm at the northwest bank atm in north Webster, they are not even registered on the BBB, the atm took my card and didn’t give me the money, I was pretty upset, I waited until the bank people realized I wouldn’t leave and it was after hours. The first thing the managers of the bank told me was to leave and they can’t leave until I do, so through the screen I told them I need my card and money back, that’s okay I got even more upset when they told me the 450 stolen dollars was not a big deal, the managers would not give me my card and continued to pretty much ignore me. I had to argue with them just to even get my card back, before I left the manager told me I was lucky they didn’t call the police. I don’t want anything but my 450 dollars back, I really fear they will retaliate just for wanting my card and money back. The managers repeatedly told me it’s not a big deal, they repeatedly told me I can’t talk to them like that. I had not said one mean thing to them and were really trying to escalate the situation and I fear retaliation from the bank.Business Response

I had prepaid this loan several years in advance with the bank that previously held the loan. The previous bank hand been sending $0 due statements. After the transition to Northwest, we did not receive any statements for a period of time. When we did finally start receiving them, they were coming intermittently, and provided no information regarding how interest was being allocated, or added to the principal. Recently, after a payment was late, due to us not receiving a statement, I attempted to pay off the entire loan. I paid off the full amount ($5647.01) listed on the highly limited statement that they provided. When the next statement came, I received a bill for a principle balance due of $467.11. I called to inquire. I was told that the amount was for interest that was not reflected on the previous statement. I disagreed with that, but I asked for confirmation that the remainder of what I owed was $467.11. I was told no, I owed a figure that was over $1000.00 (unfortunately I don't recall the exact amount). I was told that the additional amount was interest for the last month. I said that was an unreasonable amount and asked to speak to a supervisor. When the supervisor came on line, he said the additional $500+ was in fact interest on the principal. I asked for a detailed statement to be emailed to me so that I could see how the interest was being applied, and how more than $500 in interest charges could accrue in less than one month on a balance that was nearly (if somehow not completely ) $0. He said that all remaining charges are interest charges. When I tried to inquire about why the charges on the statement continue to be listed with both a principle and interest due, he continued to interrupt me mid-sentence. When I asked him to stop interrupting, he hung up on me. They say that they record their conversations. If that is true, they can corroborate this discussion (if they are willing to provide the recording).Business Response

*** ****** ** ** ******** **** ****** ** * ****** ** ***** **** ** **** **** **** ** *** ********The reply is somewhat vague and mentions no figures or amounts. I was clear that I required the lender to provide a clear, itemized listing of interest and any other fees charged to my account, and I have yet to receive such an accounting. Whether the lender considers my account current or not, I have no idea if fees charged to up to this point were appropriately applied, because I have received no summary of the charges, explaining when and why they were applied, or how the lump sum (which I believed to be the pay-off amount) balanced against what they considered the final balance due.

Account ********** in the amount of 24,514.29 this company is saying what is owed is around 5,000
which would be negative but in the statements is ascending over zero
Plenty of codes that are violated, Consequences for them not doing their job this has put me in serious harm, these last couple years has been rough and very mind blowing. IT HAS BEEN MULTIPLE ERRORS, finally wanted to get things situated. Unorganized furnishing deceptive forms while creating a false belief towards the consumer (15 U.S. Code 1692j). Who is obligated to pay this debt? (18 USC 8) because me as a consumer I do not owe this, putting something on my credit report that is negative saying I was late. This loan was already payed in full.Putting negative items on my report is damaging . This contract was not intentionally explained and very misleading. Truth-Lending contract The mis-use of the open-end consumer plan should not be posted as late for any purpose was unfair. Treating payments as if they were not gifted (15 U.S.1666b).Billing errors every month on statement if debt was owed it would be negative which is not this account is above 0.I sent multiple letters certified mail with no response I have signature on return. The company said they only take US dollars or credit but the truth in lending contract takes federal reserve notes they wouldn't accept my payments.Grace period has been violated multiple times. I have only received one statement from you guys. I was supposed to receive two individual envelopes from you. Sharing information with non-affiliates disclosing my nonpublic information (15 U.S. Code 6802) .Need original instrument of intentness in its original form.Business Response

Northwest Bank Concern to BBB
5/11/2023
May I ask for a follow-up on this concern. A month ago I received this commission and it’s still locked in my account at this Northwest Bank. Where the art was mailed from, they made an account with my last name and used their address. I don’t understand why the bank find this as an issue and not release my funds to me. I do have bills that I need to pay to keep things moving.

I return calls to BBB and they never answer. So all we do is have phone tags. I cannot be available 24/7 as I also have appointments and care for my sister’s husband on hospice. I told them to leave message on phone but they always say, call back. The situation is not resolved from my end. I didn’t get access to my funds.Business Response

I requested that Northwest stop sending my home mail for someone who has never lived there. The refused to remove my address without my social security number which is insane.
Why would I give my SSN# to a business that I don't work with. I just don't want other peoples mail.
This is the name that are sending mail to and refused to stop and remove my home address.

Lost my debit card due to one of their ATM machines malfunctioning on 01/3023/. I called customer service on 01/30/23 and was told that they will send me a new card. I later found out that the card was not sent out until 02/03/23. I called on 02/10/23 to inquire about the card since I have not gotten it. Was told that if I don't get it by 02/13/23 that I should call customer service and request a new one. I did and a new one was sent out. I ended up getting the card in the mail I requested on 01/30/23 on 02/14/23 but by that time it was canceled. I contacted customer service asking if my new card was sent out they said no. I asked them if the card I received on 02/14/23 could be uncanceled and was told that they could not. I have been close to four weeks of me not having a debit card and having to move money around to their issue. I ask can I have the card expedited and that it will cost 35 dollars.Business Response

I attempted a Mobil repost of a paycheck. I took back and front photos of the check and hit deposit. I got the green message on the bottom of the screen that said my check was accepted. When I was sent the email that said the check was not deposited… I never saw it, I was out running errands. I never would have all of these issues if I still had my local beach office open in town. The nearest office is in Richland, 20 minutes away and I never go there.Business Response

I would like to start out saying that we have been banking with Northwest for 27 years with both a business account and personal accounts. On May 20, 2022 we had an appointment with Jamie L******* at 1:30 pm at the Grove City branch as our ****** branch had closed for good. Prior to the meeting I had discussed with Jamie about changing both accounts to my name only. She emailed signature cards to expedite the meeting as my husband has been diagnosed with cancer. Before the meeting my husband and I decided to only change the business account to my name and leave the personal account alone. We told this to Jamie at the meeting and figured she handled the situation correctly. Much to my surprise on September 1, I received a letter from TSI collection agency (letter is attached). I called them and Northwest and apparently there was another personal account opened that I had no idea existed. I called numerous people at Northwest including Ron Y**** who told me basically I was a liar. Also in the meeting on May 20, I asked about the $3 fee that we were getting charged monthly and Jamie fixed that on her computer for me. Ron Y**** says that this never happened even though Northwest records state it was done on 5/20/22 at 2:28 pm while we were in Jamie's office information I received from Anna at Northwest. 27 years of doing business with Northwest, feel free to look up our old business account ********* and you will see we deposited millions of hard earned dollars in that account over those years. I can tell you this that if the Volant branch was still open this would never have happened. People do make mistakes Northwest, own up to your mistake.Business Response
