Western exterminator company is billing me for services at a home that I no longer owned at the time services were rendered. Originally I filed a complaint with their accounting department and assumed this would clear up the issue but today I was called by them expecting payment. I never approved their work that they say they completed in May 2022, because I was not at the house and did not on it.Business Response

I originally hired this company for a subscription pest control service whereby I would pay a quarterly fee and they would. I spoke with ***************************. The guy eventually showed up but didn't have any of the materials to perform the service. I continually followed up with ******* - both over email and voicemails - but she never responded and no one ever came. The only time I eventually heard from them was from ************************* from their collections department who emailed me demanding payment for the service I never received. I asked her to cancel this invoice but I never received a response. This business is a scam.Business Response

When I moved to Silver Springs, in 2022, I contacted ******* pest control. The parent company is this company according to a bill I received! The bill claims that I have an overdue balance however, I do not have an overdue balance, because I canceled the service! My place was treated for termites, and the gentleman who did the treating said due to some conditions on my property that if I got the yearly renewal chances were slim that it would be honored! I thanked him for the info and when it came time to renew, I contacted the company and told them I did not care to renew! Starting in December 2022 I started receiving hard sales tactics to renew both by phone and mail. They even wanted me to agree to renew it without an inspection. Why would I pay for something Im not getting. Even after I told them, I wanted to cancel they still sent a sales person out here to allegedly inspect. I told him I did not want him to inspect. I further told him that I had told the office I was not renewing the service. His response to me was all those people in the office dont know what theyre doing and he left. Fast forward a couple of months and I get an invoice for an overdue bill. Today the automatic phone calls from the company started to seek payment! I dont owe anything so I shouldnt be getting the phone calls first and foremost. It starts out telling you how yo pay, then recording says if you want to speak to someone to press one when you press one it hangs up on you. Unfortunately, these types of tactics do get people to pay money they do not owe. It is an extremely despicable way to do business, and I live in a retirement community so besides, this complaint, Ill be spreading it throughout the community! The company is not doing themselves any favors, but I would like the bills and calls to stop.Business Response

Company billed me $58.30 (4/12/23) and another $58.30 again on 5/13/23 for services not authorized. After numerous phone calls to rectify there is no resolution just the same response, "that a ticket has been created and someone will return my call" but it's been weeks and no return call.Business Response

May 24, 2023 I pay $$57.24 a month for services Account number ******** It is through Ehrlich exterminator I have bedbugs that is part of my plan. They have come twice and have not gotten rid of them. They are supposed to come back on May 24, 2023 at 1 oclock and they still have not given me a phone call or have not showed up.Business Response

We have been out to his home 3 times (5/30, 6/1, 6/8) since the original complaint was filed. He is currently out of town, but did tell our manager that before he went on vacation everything was much better. April 10, 2023: Insect IQ technician came to service our outside perimeter. we were home at the time. the tech did not service the garage, the patio, did not look or treat the rat traps: 3 of them. we watched him and we have cameras. we called and spoke with manager, ***** that day to report this. ***** said they do not “drench” areas. we told him he did not even spray. he said “oh well” we told him we were not going to pay for this service. he said “ok”. but we received a bill from insect IQ today for $90.20. how to resolve this issue: clear this bill. we also told ***** we are cancelling our service. which apparently they did that since they no longer call us to schedule appts.Business Response

We agreed we would not charge him for the service and he was satisfied with the outcome. Our branch manager followed up with him on 6/22 to see if we missed anything. They sent me a bill for $38.00. They charged for a service that they never did. They said they came down and sprayed, they never did. They said they sprayed the outside. They are not supposed to. They were not hired to spray the outside, only the inside. They themselves said they do not spray the outside of condos. After 2 years of every month coming down, we still had roaches.Business Response

The company billed me in February for services never done (only an estimate was provided on 2/15/2023) for potential attic insulation. The sales agent informed me that they were unable to do the services due to the condition of my attic. On May 1, 2023 I received a past due invoice in the amount of $3,360.00 for PEST CONTROL INSULATION CORRECTIVE SERVICE that was supposedly completed on 2/15/2023. As you will see from the attached report from the company, absolutely no material was utilized, because it was never done! Since May 1st, I have sent numerous emails, spoken with multiple individuals in the company, and yet this amount is still on my account showing as "past due".Business Response

Florida pest control continues to send me a monthly bill and no one from the company is coming to the house to service the lawn. I work from home and have ring cameras where there is no activity of anyone from that company providing service. I reached out to them in October 2022 because this was happening and asked that they stop servicing the property because I expressed my concerns with them billing me and no one showing up. They remedied this phone call by sending someone out that week to service the yard. So now we are in 2023 and they’ve sent me two lawn care bills in the amount of $188 and no one has been to my home. I want them to stop sending me a bill and I want them to stop pretending to service my property. I have other people that come out such as pool maintenance and grounds keepers. Those people are on my ring cameras, but no one is here from Florida pest control. What I find is really bad business with them is that there is no way for me to dispute this bill or contact anybody via email. They only allow customers to call them out of state.Business Response

Thank you for your patience. This customer does not have any lawn service with us and had a Lawn Insect program with us in 2020 which was cancelled then. There was never any past due on this lawn acct. The amount owed is for the pest control service they have had since 2020 for the December 2022 (91.00) and March 2023 (97.00) service's. Our specialist assures us that they were serviced as this specialist has been the service specialist the entire time they have had pest service. I am rejecting this response because:
As stated in the response from the Florida pest control, there was no service requested at this home. However, I had a bill in my mailbox for two months of work when it wasn’t requested, which means you are showing up to someone’s home and doing a service without their permission. The other issue is that no one was ever here in the month of December or March. I work from home and see everyone else that I’ve hired to help take care of the property. No invoice was ever left during both visits at the home showing that someone was here and provided a service. No one was on my ring camera during the months of December 2022 and March 2023 from Florida pest control. However, since filing with the Better Business Bureau Florida pest control arrived again to my home last week. I took a screenshot of the truck in my driveway. This visit, seen from my camera, is again a service you’re providing without permission you’re just showing up. Sending a bill to someone’s home and not providing a service and also doing this without permission should be illegal. Until I am given proof that someone was at the home and what service was provided I will not be paying this bill. Do not send anyone from Florida pest control to my home. This has been the worst company to deal with since they were hired in 2020.
