      I am very dissatisfied with Amica customer service. I cancelled an account I opened up the next day. I was told it will take 3-5 business days for a refund. I have not received a refund. I called customer service regarding the refund I was told that there was a mistake and they will try to expedite it asap once they discuss it with the account department and this may take another ***** hrs. They were quick to take my money out of my account but holding my money up in some suspense account.

      As off today ( 33 days in the auto collision company) the claims lady that I have been working with is not professional - talks very rudely and wants to cut you off - it took over 2 weeks to have an adjuster come to look at my car - now we are at a standstill because whoever cuts the check can not get anything straight as to where the check needs to go - I need my car !!!! They want their money every month and they make sure to leave you in a bind by handing your claims not in time

      I have been going through a roller coaster ride with my mortgage company regarding home insurance. Thankfully I have Amica for all my Home and insurances. **************** is at the utmost. I bought a new house that I am rebuilding, they call me once in a while to check on the progress and to ask me if there is anything that they can do for me. As a Personal Insurance attorney, I changed all my personal policies to Amica after I have followed them for years.One of the best there is in the business.********

      This review is only for auto insurance, I am happy with homeowners insurance. I wanted to get quote for auto insurance in hopes of saving money by bundling. They would not quote because I had a glass claim with my current provider. I have no tickets, no collisions and good credit. Sad that a current customer cannot get another policy over a glass claim.

      I purchased a house last year and decided to go with Amica for both home and auto because of its stellar reviews on various sites, especially those about its customer service.I am extremely frustrated that they have not lived up to these reviews. My family and I were rear-ended in standstill traffic on the *************************** by a large rental truck in July. My handler, ***************************** notified me that claims with commercial companies typically take months to settle.Without going into too many details, I'll say this: my correspondence with ***** is only through messaging since she does not answer her phone nor does she return calls (which is fine, since I'm ok with messaging), but her responses are very generic and scripted. She will not answer a question directly. In short, she notified me 2 months later that the other party did not have insurance, thus Amica now has to "go after" the driver and it was not "looking good" for our case.Insurance is not my area of expertise, but something did not add up. I decided to do my own research and found out in less than 30 minutes, that the other carrier did indeed have insurance!I called Amica back and spoke with a supervisor, *****************************, who initially was a bit patronizing and insisted Amica did their best to connect with the other party, but was unsuccessful and are still "waiting". Her tone changed when I told her that I have a copy of the Certificate of Liability Insurance, which I got in less than 30 minutes of making a few phone calls. Additionally, she had the audacity to ask if I got the handler's name!I understand things take time and that there's a process, but I executed something in less than 30 minutes that took them 2 months to complete and still failed.I would never go with them again and would recommend everyone else to stay clear of them regardless of what you view online! They haven't lived up to their reputation.

      My parked car was hit by their policy holder in a staples parking and they are refusing to call me back to discuss repairs. I got my insurance company involved and they are saying over a week later that liability is still pending even though the policy holder admitted liability on the day it occurred THEY ARE THE WORST

      No proper representation. No paperwork sent to email or **************** insurance cards after 2 weeks. I had nothing to show they insured me. I could never get anyone on the phone. I always had to keep calling and then if I managed to get through nothing was ever taken care of. I signed ** in June and asked for a refund after the two weeks and couldn't get anyone. July came and they called me abouts billing. I explained I wasn't happy about services and to remove me (again) only to get a collection bill at the end of August. Truly fed up at this point. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR CAR INSURANCE.

      I just got off the phone with an Amica agent. My policy was cancelled because of no payment. According to them my bank card declined for insufficient payment.The real problem is that their system generated an old card that had been closed and they also used an old email where they notified me that my insurance had been canceled.On. ..July I called to ask why Amica has not taken their payment, their answer.. I didn't have sufficient funds! My bank gave me April, May, June and July statements. Showing the wrong card being charged and on July a payment of ****** but they wanted an extra ****** to re enstate my coverage.Spoke to them...today was told that I am at fault and there is no retracting. Horrible service. I'm disabled and my car is driven 12 to 15 miles per week, getting ready to buy a van type vehicle, my ins. Won't be with them

      I recently received a mailer from Amica telling me I qualify to save on my auto insurance. This was likely sent to me because of my high credit score. I did see a soft inquiry from Amica on my credit report confirming this. I had been shopping around for auto insurance because I recently tried to remove my wife as a driver on my policy because she has medical problems that prevent her from driving. I recently found a new policy from Nationwide that saved me several hundred dollars a year off my previous auto insurance rates. However, when I called Amica they provided a quote that was more than double my previous rate. When I questioned whether or not that was correct, the agent told me that Amica is sometimes a bit more costly because of their excellent customer service. I don't know what went wrong. It could be that Amica's risk model is utterly ridiculous, or that the agent was ill-informed and gave me the annual price as a bi-annual payment (I clarified this with the agent to be sure). Anytime your quote is double what several other insurance companies quoted me, that should be a red flag requiring some minimal investigation by the agent. It could have been that some information was entered incorrectly. I don't really know if Amica's agents or their actuaries are incompetent, but either way they are not a reliable company and I will never buy insurance from them.
