      We purchased a newly built home in ******* in December. The purchase price was approximately $845,000. We got homeowners insurance coverage from Amica Insurance with dwelling coverage of $845,000. Subsequently, Amica Insurance reduced our dwelling coverage to $500,000 without written notice or the opportunity to appeal. We contacted them and have been given excuses without any resolution. We are seeking other coverage. However, should we experience a catastrophic loss in the meantime, we will be underinsured through no fault of our own.

      I was a client of Amica Ins. for auto, home, *********... for years. Last year I selected another vendor for auto and home because of price. I went back to Amica this year to get a new quote and was told my house cannot be covered because of forest fire danger. I live in a developed housing neighborhood in the ************************ that is not anywhere near a forest or other open space. We are miles from ************************* and from the front range national parks. We are in city limits surrounded by **** homes miles around that are built on previous pasture land and to my knowledge never had a fire. I've lived in this house 20 years. Amica will not disclose the danger nor reasoning underwriting is using in their review.

      My financial advisor recommended I reach out to Amica, after I had a bad experience with a leading national insurance company on not willing to pay for a OEM part on a windshield claim for glass replacement. After getting car insurance quotes, we went to the homeowners, and the first question was when did we replace our roof. We have not, the roof is 25 years old, and in good condition. The agent then proceeded to tell me that they used some kind of satellite image on my home, and that the roof was rated as poor condition, and without a certified inspection, I could not be insured. This guy at least 3 times in the conversation said how great Amica was, to awards w/JD Power, the whole 9 yards. We have excellent credit, no claims on car or house in memory. Talk about ridiculousness. Then after reading all the negative reviews, I am glad I found out now instead of when I was already insured. Kind of a shame. We would have been a very profitable customer to **********************. I would suggest that if Amica is so worried about a roof, that they look at claim history, because that says a lot more about a customer than a roof. New one for me, just gives you an indication of how strict this company is, and it is there way or the highway. I will go to another insurance company who is not infatuated with the satellite image of my roof. The agent said that they have been told to say that a poor roof = a claim. Guess what. I have a $5000 deductible with my current company to keep my rate down. I view homeowners insurance as something to cover a major event, not to pay for a minor water leak. Good riddance.

      I have all of my houses and cars with Amica. Things have been great. Until I filed a roof claim. It seems that the rep who sold me the policy did a play on words and led me to believe that I would be fully covered if anything would happen; I just learned differently. When you go 10 plus years without any claims; I guess you really know how good your insurance partner really is when you file a claim. And what a coincidence that I was told by an Amica rep that Amica is doing everything they can get get out of *****. I have referred 23 policy holders to Amica and I will be calling all of them to cancel their policies.

      Tremendous scam. After a rain, water started running down from the ceiling fan. We called and talked to a lady who said she'd send someone out and the cost would be paid by them. Not part of deductible, but some rider. We took her word and then for about several days young men came in to knock a hole in the ceiling and put long hoses up there. Looked like shop vacs one blowing hot air, the other vacumming air out. Each day after young men would run in and then out with me saying over and over we would not pay any extra. We even called the Amica rep and passed the phone to the Onsite's manager/supervisor to remind him there was no charge. But then the bills came from them. $680. They threaten to put a lien on our house. Strangely I was never able to reach the insurance agent again.

      Very unsatisfactory settlement after minor traffic accident. Our ****** Prius was bumped gently from behind by a very large truck. Our damage was one broken plastic rear light cover that cost $175 to replace (no labor). Truck driver claimed about $2700 in damages, No one has explained why I was held more than 50% at fault, and AMICA does not seem to have challenged the excessive claim of damage to the truck.We are being assessed a premium penalty by AMICA after more than 25 years as loyal customers. Time to switch our two auto policies, two house pllicies, and an umbrellla policy from AMICA to another company.

      I have been with the company since **** (actually, I think it's ****) and have been extremely happy. Excellent customer service - until now. I was rear-ended on Christmas 2022 and reported the accident by phone. The first time Amica called me was today, Jan4.-10 days later. I repeatedly called the person assigned to me. Left 3-4 phone messages and they were never returned. I finally reached her yesterday and she was very short on the phone (admittedly, I was not all that happy). The person in total loss who called today was very professional and helpful, but unfortunately, my claim will be returned to the original person so I don't expect any resolution soon. When talking to others, they indicated their company called them the next day. I will be looking to seek another company when this is over.

      I have been contacted an Amica representative and my concerns have been quickly and so far, completely, dealt with. My case has been re-assigned and Amica has been quick with responding to some follow-up questions I had. Every happy with Amica right now. I assume the problem I had involved one person.

      DO NOT WORK WITH AMICA!! ***************************** and supervisor ***********************, very sketchy people. Paid a claim without my permission or signature. Marquesion called today after 7 months of waiting for them to call me and she said that they did it on my good behalf, they didnt want me to go to court. I have witnesses, I have threatening text, harassment from the other party, but this 2 people were very much in touch with the other party. I am the one paying their salary, supposed to work for me not them. Very disappointed and they hear from my lawyer. Ive done my research and this, guys is FRAUD!!

      DUDE called amica insurance. They spelled my apartments wrong and all h*** broke loose and they cant change it. After several calls I cannot provide proof of renters insurance.
