    I was changing my forwarding address with the official **** website and they offered additional services. I was asked to check one of three boxes with other services I wanted. The one I was interested in was changing my voter registration, so I checked only that one box. I was then forwarded to ************************** where I was forced to accept subscribing to a businesses advertisements to continue. Then I was forced to view home internet plans which were labeled as car insurance. Eventually after scouring their website I could not find any mention of voter registration services and my email has since been constantly bombarded with spam emails. Very frustrating as this service is advertised by the government!

    I am rejecting this response because: This process is incredibly unclear. The necessary forms are emailed to me at the beginning of the process regardless of whether I proceed to your website. Nowhere on your website is this indicated and I was led to believe that I had to proceed through this process to receive aid. Regardless, the "service" of sending me a form and telling me to do it myself with little to no instructions is less than useless. The entire point of your website is to trick people into signing themselves up for corporate spam for your profit.

    I am rejecting this response because: It is unreasonable that you are affiliated with the **** in any official capacity, but I understand I have no control over that poor decision. You claim to provide a service then in the next sentence say you are unable to fulfill that service. That is unreasonable in my opinion though I know that will not change.

    It's surprised that **** would "partner" with such a dubious website for voter registration after submitting change of address.The first thing mymove does is coerce users into selecting promotional offers. You are given two options a "Continue and select all offers" button or a greyed out "Continue with selected offers" link that is only enabled if you select one or more promotions.**** should reevaluate this partnership because when one is redirected to a shady website with blatant coercion for marketing/promotional deals, it makes me question the integrity of *****If the service being offered is voter registration then that should be the focus, not forcing users to engage with promotional deals they have no interest in. The site should serve its advertised purpose or make it clear that they are there to drive marketing for moving services and sell user data - and such a site should NOT be "partnering" with a legitimate service like ****.

    I utilized the "Change address" process on **** website, and was recommended to use "*************" to update my voter registration. On my attempt to do so, and after already providing my information, they present users with a series of "offers" that basically provide the information you just gave them (for the purposes of updating your voter registration) to those other companies so those companies can advertise to you. There is no way to continue the voter registration update process without selecting to accept one or more offers, and is clearly a "dark pattern" implementation to harvest as much money as possible from unwilling users. The only option to progress is to "select all" or to select at least one before the option to continue enables.

    This business piggybacks on the **** mail forwarding service, pretending to be a means of voter registration but it's really a personal data collection/sharing scheme. Once they have your home address, email, phone number, etc. they sell it to EVERYONE and you get a mountain of unwanted junk mail. They will only allow you to opt out if you live in one of the 4 or 5 states that require it by law, otherwise there's no way to contact them to remove your data. I don't know whay **** doesn't send users of their forwarding service to ********, which is a legitimate service of the *************** and doesn't sell all your information.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, as long as ************************** follows through on their promise to delete all of my data and not share it.  If I start getting junk mail from this transaction, I will file a formal complaint with the FTC.

    You get sucked into clicking things on their website without warning. I started out and then didn't go any further. I don't trust this business.

    The **** (postal service) MUST STOP contracting with MyMove, LLC for submittal of Change of Address Forms and Voter Registration. Their website is completely misleading. They try to trick customers into receiving junk mail and advertisements for services. AND their voter registration information is more complicated than it needs to be. They need to link directly to the CA online voter registration. Instead, they mislead and say you have to print forms and mail them. THAT isn't true.

    The **** change-of-address process is separate and independent from MYMOVEs **************************************** Updating your voter registration is not required in order to complete your **** change-of-address, and your choice to use (or not use) MYMOVEs *************************************** does not affect the successful completion of your **** change-of-address in any way. At this point, we do not have the ability to update your voter registration online. Based on the info you provide, we email you a pre-filled out voter registration form. From there, you must print the form, complete it, and send it in to your county's voter registration office, the address of which is pre-printed on your form.

    When using MyMove as part of a **** Change of Address, the user is forced to click on an ad offer from a business in order to proceed with the Voter Information update process.Other such complaints have been filed to BBB and MyMove's justification is that the process still is completed even if you close the window. However, that is not made clear to users and it can only reasonably be implied that you need to click on an offer to continue. This is an intentionally deceptive practice to get users to click on at least one ad.

    After moving, I went to the local post office to make the necessary address change. Shortly thereafter, I received an official **** letter confirming my change of address and letting me know that in order to update my voter registration, I needed to go to the MyMove website to do so. They included the link and code to do so.Once on the MyMove website, I was led through a multiple-stage process of entering my information to update my voter registration. I did this on my smart phone. When I was near the end of this process, I clicked the "next" button on the bottom of the page, and was redirected to an advertising page that would not let me continue the process without selecting advertising options from marketing partners that would be receiving my email adress. I did not want to give out my email and I was not interested in any of the products, but there was no option to opt out. I double-checked this several times. Finally, I selected one of the vendors in order to get to the next page and complete the update to my voter registration. Unfortunately, the next page featured offers for car insurance, and once again, gave no option to opt out, or complete the form.I closed the page and started over. I ran into the exact same predicament, so this was no fluke. Reading the other complaints on BBB, it is clear that others have experienced the same difficulty. I would strongly urge **** to end its partnership with MyMove and warn unweary customers away from using **********************'s services. Especially leading up to election time, trying to capitalize on voters for the sake of profit is clearly unethical. If this is simply a mistake on the part of MyMove, I wonder why they have not updated their website/app after all these months of complaints. This seems dubious.

    They charge for the service but will not confirm that the change of address is complete. They have a place to request your info not be sold but when you press enter, it changes all you info. You cant reach customer service. They are a scam!

In the absence of these communications, your change of address may not be complete and you should receive a letter in the mail defining next steps in the process.     The most unbelievably annoying slew of spam emails Ive ever gotten, and I was forced to sign up for the ******** to change my voter registration. Its absurd they can pull this ****, because no matter how many times Ive unsubscribed from the emails they just keep spamming me. Horrible business and I wish whoever came up with the idea for the business and whoever decided to make it impossible to change voter info without signing up have a miserable year and get paid back by karma.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I tried numerous times to unsubscribe, got an affirmative unsubscribe message, and then continued to receive spam not from the individual brands but directly from MyMove. And I dont need to check voter registration I was forced to accept one of the offers from my move in order to change my address for voting. It feels like it was set up as either a scam or a way to discpuraging people from registering to vote.
