So many problems with Prisma, it’s clear that care is not their top priority.

This hospital racked up tests, and bills and when questioned deferred to insurance. They will not speak to insurance, and continue to send bill collectors after me for there errors/overbillings. Do not go to this place under any circumstance. They take advantage of you!!

Similar experience to what others have had. Billing department is terrible and non-responsive. I'm now going on 5 months of trying to get a bill recoded from "diagnostic" to "preventive" per the doctor's paperwork, which i've provided to them again. Six attempts with billing and two attempts with patient advocacy. I got a response on July 8th simply saying I owe what my insurance company did not pay. Well, the insurance company would pay if they would get the bill coded correctly, yet they've not even acknowledged the issue in their latest response. And, most times, they did not respond at all. I've tried calling as well, but they told me I had to correspond in writing via ** *****. Meanwhile, they keep sending me nasty late payment notices in big letters and highlighted in red. This is insane.

4/30/24 had exacerbation of low back ..severe muscle spasms.. hip leg and foot goes numb. X-rays confirmed why I was in so much pain. I was having severe almost constant painful muscle spasms. The only reason I didn’t go to the hospital was I didn’t have someone to take care of my elderly dog so I had to suffer through it. I have never been in so much pain in my life. PA prescribed antiinflammatory medicine which calmed the inflamed nerve down, but that’s only temporary and I’ve let them know that I’m concerned that the muscle spasms are going to start again before Orthopedic spine surgeon sees me.
I have been in communication with the office every day since 4/30/24.
The triage nurse who is supposed to help me coordinate through this type of situation didn’t call me back. Left a message last night and one this evening and I have yet to hear from anyone
Today is 5/9 and I still haven’t received a call from the specialist myself. So yesterday i called them and they said it would be so much quicker if my primary care ordered the MRI. So instead of them handling it I had to. So I messaged my doctors office and let them know last night and received message back today that said the doctor wouldn’t be in on Thursday tomorrow But they would give her my message when she got back .I’ve changed my opinion of Prisma

Prisma Health Medical Clinics and offices now charge a HOSPITAL FEE.
Yes, just to walk into a stand alone building and be seen by a physician you will get a separately billed HOSPITAL STAY as well as the clinic fee and doctor fee.
      Fraudulent scam, perhaps illegal.

What a horrible business department they have. I was making payments for the thousands I owed after a heart attack and my bank card expired while making payments from an auto withdraw. I didn't know it until 2 moths after the fact, but Prism just kept processing it over and over and raking up 30-dollar NSF fees each time.
No phone call, no nothing. Just added 30 dollars a pop until I caught it. Poor business practice.

I have been going to IMA Gastro for over 20 years. Never had any issues with getting my upper GI/colonoscopy scheduled. But I had an appt with a NP in Nov and she put into the notes of my account to schedule my colonoscopy and upper GI for the same day. She did go ahead and give me my prep and said we will get it scheduled. So I NEVER heard from the scheduler Petra until 1 week before my procedure and all of a sudden she did not have a record of it. So she said that she didn't see the notes because I had to leave that day because I sat in the waiting area for 20-30 minutes. I had to leave and go back to work. So to make a long story short they were trying to wait on someone to cancel.. Well no one ever cancelled and Petra called me to tell me that there was no way for them to get me in. To me this is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She said she messaged the doctor and he said we would get it done some how. She wanted to know if I had eaten food on thursday morning. Adv I had due to having to take meds. She then said the doctor said to reschedule which was UNACCEPTABLE TO ME. I began to explain how I did not feel responsible for the mix up and she said I was being difficult and hung up on me. THIS IS WHY MYSELF AND OTHERS HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE PRISMA. I WANT THIS RESOLVED because my health is on the line and I will not become a prisoner of PRISMA. My family is aware of the so called mistake, has all names involved and if anything happens because I was not able to get medical attention they know to ring a lawsuit against ALL involved persons.

Watch your wallets, and to hell with your health! That should be Prisma's commercial. I saw Dr James R******* after seeing another doctor (Dr Chris C*****) for years. I am a 100% disabled veteran, with lengthy history of service related injuries. One medicine I have used for years on a as needed basis is Toradol - an anti-inflammatory. I just saw this Dr R******* a month ago as a new patient transferring from my old doc who left. He said no problem with prescribing this. Now, last refill last Sept., I asked for a refill for Christmas holidays to help me participate a little more with family - but NO! Last doctor no problem - just sends it in when I request. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't and have never abused drugs. I now have to take certain meds to just try to stay on my feet for two hours a day. But this doctor says IO need to come into the office. So, I have to wait another 4 months, line his pocket with cash, and miss yet another holiday. I missed enough over 24 years in the military while he was drinking in college. I just need a refill on a med I have taken for years - but this bozo big brother babysitter wants money to help a veteran. It's time these sleeze bags are exposed.
