Hillcrest hospital is pointless. It’s a satellite hospital with basic functions. You get better service and faster test results from a walk in clinic. Unnecessary lab work, that takes a week to be reviewed (again, walk in clinic takes an hour at most). Will never use this facility again! Check your detailed billing, they use a bundling and 90% of the time unnecessary tests are done. Seriously better experience taking my dog to the vet! Insurance waste and abuse. Prisma will pay millions of dollars to have illegal immigrants get dialysis treatments done at other non Prisma facilities, but won’t budge on writing off unnecessary lab work for someone willing to pay their outrageous fees if they would simply remove the bogus lab work? This company needs to dig a little deeper in the pool for better, knowledgeable staff and rethink their processes. It shouldn’t take nearly two months to get someone to return a call. The only person that answers the phone, billing! Otherwise at the mercy of leaving a message or email and wait, then who calls, someone from billing who can’t do anything but take notes and ask how you want to pay the bill.

After having Mammograms at *** ******* for many years, decided to change to Prisma this year.Procedure done on 12/6/2022. After 2 weeks, still showing pending in MyChart. Called Prisma and was advised that they had not received the prior years from *** ******* and could not read the new ones without those. I wondered at the time why they did not follow up. I called *** ******* and was told they had not received the request from Prisma. Was given the fax number which I called Prisma and gave to them.Checked today and still showing pending. Called Prisma again and was told by a very disinterested woman that she would message that department and that was "all she could do." I asked her to transfer me to the department which she did and I got voicemail. Explained and asked for a call-back which I did not get. I will try to get an answer on 1/2/2023 but if I cannot-I will contact ******** and my insurance and ask that any payment made to Prisma be rescended for non-performance so that I can have a mammagram at *** *******-where I should have gone in the first place. BTW, I tried to complete Prisma's complaint and request form which cannot be completed.

Regarding the results of the mammogram, the Radiologist is responsible for the reading of the scans. Until the radiologist has completed the review, the results will not become available. We do apologize for the frustration of the patient not having access to the mammogram results in a timely manner. I do know the radiologists typically request previous scans, if available, to compare the current scans to. I will pass these concerns along to the appropriate department.

I had scheduled an MRI. Few weeks before, my chart showed estimated charges for an MRI of about 7700$! This is abnormal and is not appropriate to bill in advance and that too a very high amount, where as an average full body MRI does not cost more than $2000 any where in U.S.
Also.I have been asked to pay my part in advance. I did not needed an MRI as my pain subsided and I cancelled the appointment..
The billing info also disappeared a few days later!
I find this advance billing is not appropriate and the amount very high. It may be also malpractice against ************ rules.

Any time a procedure is scheduled, our price quotes department generates an "estimate". Estimates are not guarantees of pricing and you should not rely on these estimates for your final billing. The actual cost may be higher or lower depending on many factors, including but not limited to, actual services rendered, complications, your particular health care needs, your provider's treatment choices, and the details of your insurance coverage, if any. Patients do have the option to request to be billed after their insurance has processed the claim.

cannot contact anyone in billing with a simple question.
I made a payment on 10-22-2022. The payment went through in a few seconds when it was done online. 4 days later, I get an email stating "balance is past due".
Called about the balance and the person saw my payment, and said there was no past due amount, but could not explain why I would get an email saying "past due" 4 days after making a payment.
So I want to talk to someone who is a billing supervisor. I looked them up and called, left a message, but I'm not expecting a return call.
Customer service today is not like it was 20 years ago, that's for sure.
I am a software developer, something is wrong with a system that emails past due notices 4 days after payments are made.

      Hi ******,
The reason this account is showing as "past due" is because you are not set up on a formal payment plan. While we do appreciate the payment you have made towards the account, it will not be sufficient to prevent the account from aging. In order to prevent the account from aging to collections after the 120 day statement cycle the account must either be set up on a payment plan with us or *********, be paid in full, or have a pending financial assistance application on the account. I will forward this information to a supervisor and have one reach out to you. Please allow 2-3 business days to hear back from a supervisor.
      Thank you,
      Hospital Billing

The company explained why the account shows past due. I have to set up a payment plan. My mistake, I did not understand. I thought the plan was optional. Thank you and the matter is resolved

After waiting for 3-4 months for a procedure that Prisma told me was covered by insurance, the day of my arrival as I was registering to go into surgery I was told my anesthesia wasn't covered and I owed $80. To me this was unfair, poor business practice and plain old deceitful. Was I supposed to go into surgery without anesthesia.
      I complained but got nowhere.
Be forewarned about a last minute charge!

I have spent 2 1/2 hrs in Prisma Hell just today. The phone menus are exhausting, inaccurate, do not get you what you want. Phone calls to your provider are never answered. And usually no one calls you back. Check in is a 20 minute iPad nightmare where screens lock, repetitive questions are asked and no one reads the information submitted.
They are a gargantuan organization that loves to spend money advertising but where “customers” are ignored, time is wasted, and patient concern is behind their profit motives.
The worst yet, but I know things are only going to get worse as Prisma swallows up every provider in my area.

Primsa billing office had the worst customer service. Their billing department refuses to bill secondary insurance, they have balance billed us on multiple occasions. Having been a revenue cycle billing leader I understand the process 100%. Primsa is breaking laws by the way they refuse to look at a secondary EOB that states zero out of pocket expense for a patient , and continues to send statements showing past due balance and threatening collections. Several theee way calls have been made with both primary and secondary payer on the phone and Prisma will not acknowledge that they are wrong!
