  Excellent product. Everything we expected and more. From initial planning, to delivery and building, blueprints and instructions, everything was perfect. We have now lived in this cabin for about 2 years snd have had no problems. I would highly recommended Soulhland Log Homes to anyone. I was lucky enough to have relatives in the building trades they tell me they had no problems assembling the cabin. We did have to hire an exterminator to keep the carpenter bees away, as well as the ants but that’s not unexpected due to the fact that we are in a very rural area. I should also add that there were no parts missing in the kit and Southland was very helpful anytime we called with a question. iIf I build another log home on my property, it will be from Southland Log Homes.

  We are very pleased with our Southland log home (built in 2012-13). Our design consultant was very helpful as we merged features from two stock designs and added an additional bedroom and bath. Our sales consultant connected us with 3 of their approved builders and we are very happy with the one we selected. At the builder’s insistence, we managed all the bank draws and payments to suppliers and subs. This avoided any possibility of the financial problems mentioned in some reviews. The only problems we encountered were with the county. They required that we have our site plan redone with a topographical survey (qualified topographical surveyors are hard to find) and that we have the percolation test redone and extend our septic lines an additional 100’ beyond industry standards. Our builder was very flexible working around these delays. As for the product provided by Southland, everything was as expected and all delivered on the same day. We could not expect more.

  My experience with Southland was great. Good price, ease of construction and professional customer service. We have been living in our home for 18 years and have no regrets. Cozy, sound and energy efficient.

  I had a custom built log home from Southland built about 5 years ago. I used the builder that they recommended and had a great experience. The issues that came up during and after building were taken care of by the contractor. I love my custom home. I would recommend a Southland long home to anyone looking for something different than your standard stick built house. I also recommend the contractor that was recommended by Southland.

  I have built 2 homes with Southland over the years. They have been patient during the design process as customized one of our houses. The kits are packed well for delivery and all logs are labeled in the stack so finding the next one for the stack plan is not hard. They provide a builder list for your review. It is up to you to decide on and contract with a builder for your home. You must also secure your own financing if needed.

  The home was delivered in a timely manner and the customer support was good. We had a problem with one of the French doors, and it was replaced. The problem we had was with the two contractors we used. One for the foundation and the other the builder.
  The builder was not prepared to receive the package and protect from the elements during the building process.
  The foundation contractor went Bankrupt be fore the job was finished. That was a nightmare!
  The project was eventually finished and the home is beautiful.

  Built our Log Home in 2004. We had Southland design a addition in 2007. We used a Custom Home Builder and couldn't be happier and it's 2023.
  Even got a tour of the facility back then.
