  I have waited one week to write this review so that I can just state the facts without showing too much emotion. I had a leak in a pipe under my house in a crawl space. Also, a leak in the same line under the bathroom sink. They told me it would be over $1900 to fix. I foolishly said yes because they made it sound like a big project. Two plumbers worked 1-1/2 hours each and then went to breakfast for an hour. When they came back they turned the water back on and left. I talked to a manager at the office and he told me this job is per project. (No manhour estimate was available, only the final price.) After several minutes of arguing, he agreed to reduce the bill to $1500. The fact that they reduced the bill is in my mind admission of guilt that they had overcharged. I reputable plumber would not be able to reduce his bill $400 if the charges were legitimate.
  
  I showed my trusted maintenance man the work they had done. He said it was about 5 ft of PEX piping and a reasonable fee would be about $600 total. They managed to charge 1.5 man-hrs X 2 men = 3 man-hrs total. This equates to $600 a man-hr + about $100 for the parts.
  
  I should say out of fairness the work they did was fine. I have no argument with that.
  
  Please do not be duped by these men! How the BBB gave them an A+ rating is a mystery to me.

  fairness, I wanted to communicate our business practices.  We provided you
  with a highly experienced master plumber who is licensed, bonded, and ensured
  by our company.  The estimate provided to you is based upon the task for
  repair.  Since our plumber is an experienced master plumber, he was able
  to decrease the amount of work time.  In addition, we have experienced a
  material price increase as of August.

  Meetze came to my home to replace my garage disposal. I was highly over charged and felt taken advantage. I am a Senior citizen and I’m on a fixed income. I was glad to have my disposal replaced but if I wasn’t going to see my daughter the next day I would not have used them! I won’t be using them in the future and would advise people to beware of this company.

  Price gauged like the other reviewers. $1400 for a broken flange and new toilet install. When I asked for a detailed itemization for my charges I was told in all caps via email it is task based charges but includes materials.
  Plus they gave my number to a third party contractor without my consent. That contractor called, emailed, and texted me all within 2hrs. And lastly the person they sent to do the work charged me $54 travel fee even though if I did a service it would be waived. Of course when I asked. The email correspondence said I wasn’t charged…but no itemization to prove that. Google reviews may be hidden but BBB is accurate. They give you the price of the job after removing the toilet and tampering with whatever they find, leaving you in a position that leaves you with no other choice. This is a strategic move on their part bc now most of us can’t file a complaint but we can do reviews to try to protect others.

  I moved to Columbia in September of 2021. I had them install a $5000 waterless water heater a new water line for my refrigerator and intall a water pressure flow regulator. I was talked into purchasing an annual "membership" for $95 dollars which is supposed to give me a 10% discount on jobs and "priority" service. Trouble started soon afterwards. I had a leaking water showerhead. So, I called to make an appointment. I was given a 1-4 pm time frame a few days later on a Friday , (not priority, if you ask me). I took off that day and waited and waited. 1:00 came, then 2:00, then 3:00 and then 4:00. No one showed up so I called and complained. Finally, one of their plummers showed up around 7:00 pm. i told him I needed my other shower worked on and it was going to cost over $1000, plus add a new water shut off valve for over $500. He had me sign estimates and was going to come first thing Monday morning. I got up at 6:30 am Monday to empty the closet space he was going to need to access the shower. 8:30 came and he was a no show. So, I called and was told he would be there at 10:00 am. He was a no show. I had an appointment with a doctor at 12;45 so I had to cancel. Then I called and complained to Meetz on Tuesday and their records had no record of an appointment! So, I reschedued for Wednesday. On Wednesday morning, a company manager called to say they were sorry but promised me they would be there that day as scheduled. ! No one showed all day even though I told the manager I was taking ANOTHER day off to be there. could understand them running behind but why can't they pick up the phone and tell me? . So I canceled the appointment at 7:00 pm as he was obviously not coming. I will never do buisness with the company again. It has, over a short span of time, gone down a toilet they can't fix. For the ridiculous amount they charge, is it really too much to ask for a phone call to tell me they are running late or not coming? AVOID!!! Meetz is a rip off.

  We had an urgent need for our fire logs to be repaired as our heat was out too. Meetze graciously worked us in to the schedule in <24hours and that is no small feat - gas log repair has been hard to come by in our area. Todd was helpful and took his time. We are grateful and will be return customers!

  I called to have a toilet leak fixed. The technician looked at my problem and told me that he can fix it by doing a minor restoration for about $400. Within 24 hours I realized the toilet was still leaking (water dripping from the tank to the bowl) although at much slower rate. The technician came back and told me that it cannot be fixed and I need the toilet replaced. So I wasted the $400 since everything he replaced to "fix" the toilet will go in the garbage.
  
  After I gave a bad review someone from the company called me and told me that they did everything right and what I asked them to do. My response was that I asked them to fix the toilet and it was not fixed. So she told me I could have went with more expensive option to replace the toilet in the first place. As I told her, why would I replace a toilet if the technical said he could fix it?
  
  Then I was told that the company DOES NOT GUARANTEE the work they do. Even though their "professional" may say he/she can fix something, they do not guarantee that it will fix the problem.
  
  So if you want to play trial and error and hope you get lucky and the technician fixes your problem, go to Meetze Plumbing. But if you want a professional job that stands by their work, look for someone else!

  Saw their van and since I am new to the area called the number. They asked if I'd like them to come over today paid triple expedited service I signed off on their phone and did not see that instead o $817 it was $1,817 - afterward the pipes still leaked. On return told me it would be another $350 to fix they work they didn't finish. - stay clear of this place folks!
