Re: FSST Management Services, LLC’s (dba 605
Lending’s) Response to BBB Complaint ID #********
To
Whom It May Concern:
FSST
Management Services, LLC dba 605 Lending is in receipt of the subject line BBB
Complaint. Our company appreciates this opportunity to respond.
According
to our records, the customer applied for and received a loan from 605 Lending
on December 12, 2022 for an amount of $***. After making several successful payments,
the customer requested a stop of automatic payments on March 24, 2023. Thereafter,
the customer’s account was placed in our company’s in-house collections, and no
further payments were made towards the loan. On
April 10, 2023, the customer contacted our representatives and mentioned that
he would be working with a debt consolidation company to address the past due
amount on the loan. Since this time, no contact has been made with the customer
until 605 Lending received this complaint.
It
is the mission of 605 Lending to diligently and efficiently address its
customers’ concerns and complaints in an amicable manner. While 605 Lending regrets
to be informed of the customer’s frustration in this case, it is important to reiterate that
short-term credit is neither an inexpensive means nor a suitable long-term
strategy to borrow funds.
Nevertheless,
our staff has agreed to waive the remaining balance and close the account
effective immediately. We trust this action will satisfactorily resolve the
customer’s complaint, and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Respectfully,
605

I received a call from a number marked as a number from my state and left a voicemail stating that there is a case against me and they will be serving me at my home and place of work. I called back from another number. They indicated that there is a lawsuit against me due to I had an outstanding balance from Rushmore Financial. I settled the account in 2017 through another third party, and that has been paid. I remembered I only borrowed less than what they said I would just like this to end now. This is very stressful when all paid but still forwarded to another party to collect and heard that I owned more than I borrowed.Initial Complaint

On Monday 2/6/23 My wife and I were contacted by Eric ******* (*** ***) at our place of work regarding a debt that was owed. Eric called my wife at work and explained the situation and said that our wages would be garnished. I called Eric right away after my wife spoke to me and I mentioned to Eric this debt was paid by ********* **** ******** and would provide proof via email. The next day I sent over the email and called Eric back and he said this could have been another account since the numbers don't match. He mentioned that he had information provided from ********* **** ******** and confirmed it was a legitimate company. I asked for the documents of the communication that he had with ********* and he said couldn't send it to me. I then asked for the number to Rushmore Financial so I could call them direct, and was provided a false number. I followed up with a couple emails to Eric but he did not respond. I called Eric the next day and they hung up on me. I believe this company is trying to collect on my debt that was paid. This is the second time my wife and I have been contacted .
Yesterday Friday March 3rd 2023 ,
My family was contacted by a woman who had documents to drop off between 3 and 4pm, and to have a valid state id available. I called ** ******* and spoke a gentleman saying I'm being sued for this debt from rushmore financial. I spoke to the gentleman over the phone and told him I have paid this debt and settled it with ********* **** ********. I provided him with the telephone number to the company and he said this would be resolved. I am calling back on Monday morning to confirm . This company /third party companies have been calling my family and I for the past 4 years threatening and harrasing us.
Next steps for us are to seek legal action against the 3 third party collection agencies and Rushmore Financial if this is not resolved.Initial Complaint

I received a phone call from Ms ****** advising me that they are trying to collect a debt from Rushmore Financial. I did have a loan with them prior to 2017. Her number is ************. She kept calling and called the CEO's office where I work. I called her back and told her I would have to check my records. I did have a loan but cannot determine if I paid it or not. I was willing to make a settlement, but felt it was a scam. I paid $*** via a debit card, and they were going to send an agreement. I received an agreement from an email : ******************** through ********, from a company called ******* ********* ********. They are not listed and cannot locate them. This is their address from the document they wanted me to sign: *** * *** ******, ****** **. The phone number is ************, I have not tried calling that number. I am trying to reach Rushmore to find out if they sold my debt/loan to this company, and if this a legitimate debt collector. I cannot locate Rushmore and their numbers listed are disconnected.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern,
**** ********* ********* *** *** Rushmore Financial is in receipt of the BBB complaint, with ID #********. We appreciate this opportunity to respond and address the concerns provided in the consumer's correspondence.
According to our records, the customer in this case received a loan from our company on 8/14/2017; however, such account was sold to a third-party collection agency due to nonpayment. The account was sold on 2/27/2018 to ****** ********* **********. After such time, our company and representatives no longer held any rights to collect on the account.
Given the circumstances provided by the customer, it is very possible that the group is in fact the current holder of the account. However, we would strongly encourage the customer to reach out to ****** ********* ********** for further information.
We hope the customer finds this to be a satisfactory response. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Rushmore Financial

I took out a loan with Rushmore Financial several years ago. In 2020, I filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, that was discharged in January 2021. Rushmore Financial was listed as one of the credits in my bankruptcy. Approximately 4 weeks ago, I began receiving calls from a debt collection company called ******** ****** ********. The phone numbers are as follows: ************ and ************. They told me that they were attempting to collect a debt for Rushmore Financial. They read back my full social security number and birth date in order to confirm my identity. I informed them that Rushmore was included in a bankruptcy that had been discharged. They stated that they had no record of the bankruptcy, and continued with their recovery efforts, including threatening me with a wage garnishment and fraud charges for breech of contract, which didn't make any sense. I repeatedly stated that the loan was part of the bankruptcy. I offered to give them my attorney's contact information. They were not interested. They then put me on hold, and while they pretended to "look up my bankruptcy". They came back to the phone and stated that Rushmore was not listed in my bankruptcy, and Rushmore had no knowledge of a bankruptcy. I then told them that I personally contacted Rushmore Financial and got their information and forwarded it to my attorney. So I know they are aware of the bankruptcy. They are also listed in my list of credits. They then began to transfer me to another person, who proceeded to further threaten me with legal action including fraud charges. They then abruptly hung up on me with no resolution. I called back to get the address of the company, and they transferred me several times, put me on hold, and when I finally spoke to someone, they ****** stated that they don't give out their address for security reasons. Then they said that they were going to return my case back to the creditor for refusal to pay, and abruptly hung up the phone on me again.Business Response

I received a call yesterday from a third party stating that I took out a loan with this company on October 3rd 2016. Total due is $****. He stated that my social was used. I have never taken out a loan with this company. I would like them to provide me with the phone number associated with me taken out the loan. This is fraud. The company that called me yesterday said that they were going to garnish my wages so they scarred me into paying ******. I have now cancelled that credit card. I need more information. My name is Julie ***. The loan was taken out by my old married name of Julie *******. The email associated with the loan was not my email address either. The email given was *********************. My email is *********************. Also, the address that was given was an address that I use to live at ** ****. I would like to know what phone number was used then we will know who took out this loan. It was not me. The weird thing is that this is not being reported on my credit bureau. Please respond as soon as possible.Initial Complaint

In 2016 I received a loan from Rushmore and defaulted on it , It was put on my credit and sent to a collection agency. I made payment arrangements with the collection agency and paid it off which resulted in them removing it from my credit later. So I get a call saying that I owe Rushmore and that they are taking me to court. Well it's almost 7 yrs later, I don't remember what the name of the collection agency is or where the receipt could be. Common sense should kick in if it's removed from my credit and the send it to a collection agency how do I owe you. I will be seeing you guys in court this should be an illegal practice trying to make people pay more than once.
