      I dislike black hills energy, I have had problems with them not cashing my payments and saying they have for the last 2 months now. And the customer service lady I talked to was no help to me today so, I am gong to turn her in for fraud for not processing are last two monthly payments I don't appreciate it I send are gas bill payments in 7 days early and someone in the cooperate office is not doing there job!!!

      I called to make a payment over the phone and was told by the employee I spoke with that if I paid online with my credit card I would not have to pay the service fee that they charge for payments by phone. I went to the website, and was still required to pay the fee. Plenty of other businesses have payment systems that do not require a service fee. If this business chooses to not to use a system that is free for their customers, their employees can't just tell customers that it is free. It is not my problem that they don't take the time to train their employees properly (and it's not fair to their employees). It's also ILLEGAL to tell someone that a service is free when it's not, and I believe in holding business legally accountable for shady business practices, no matter the dollar amount that you steal. The service fee amount needs to be credited to my account, because it is against the law to tell someone a service is free and then make them pay to use it, no matter the amount. Legally, that is false advertising. I am not going to let this go, because as far as I'm concerned, I was lied to. I'm going to continue to escalate this until it is resolved. I'm not talking "no" for an answer. The service fee amount is to be deducted from my next bill, and this is non-negotiable.

      Office staff are useless, different guidance from each person and supervisor/managers don't return calls.
      Didn't send bill or return calls for 5 months, pulled meter (from vacant house) dead of winter. THEN called me to demand hundreds of extra dollars in fees.
      Took three visits for them to light the heater.

      Most of my house is electric. The only thing for gas is stove and heat… typically in the summertime It runs about $12 because we don’t use the stove it’s just the cost of having the gas this year it jumped up to $24… in the winter time it ranges to $40-$50. This winner is reaching $70-$80 temperature is always set at 66°. so they are price gouging… there needs to be a class action lawsuit against these criminals

      I just moved in recently on Dec. 27th 2022 to a new build out in Mead Colorado, The billed cycle was from the Dec. 29th to Jan.4th 2023. They just sent me a bill for $246.88 for 6 days. My thermostat is at 68. I didn't move into the home till the 30th and didn't cook anything nor had a dryer in the home. I called in and they said they would come out and see if the meter was working. Then the rep. came back on the phone and said oh the tech that came out stated the meter is correct. So I will be sending you to billing department but you wont hear back till Tuesday or Wednesday. What kind of company is making customers wait to talk to billing department. Why am I waiting to talk to someone. The first rep said she doesn't know how my gas bill is higher than the builder bill when theirs were a month and mines is just 6 days. Second rep told me that someone in my neighbor bill is at $800 dollars before we got off the phone she stated that their was another neighbor gas bill at $1,300. I am so but this is not okay how in the world someone gas bill that high there is problem in the company. I have a coworker that lives in Longmont and stated her bill has triple and everyone is the neighborhood is complaining that their bill has triple. This is ridiculous how this company is charging everyone for gas. After reading everyone complaint with this company through out the internet they are just screwing everyone. This is not okay what so ever. Worst company to use period. Over charging everyone and worst customer service.

      Black Hills Energy is terrible. I have been trying to terminate my account for months, and BHE keeps telling me that I will still receive "one more final bill." BHE cares about one thing: gouging their customers

      We had a $610 bill for one month, our house is heated by propane and so is our water. I asked for someone to come out and make sure the meter was working correctly. I was told they would be here between 8-5 the following day and to please have someone at the house over the age of 18. Took the day off from work and no one showed up OR even called.... I've been on hold now for 57 minutes. This company is a disaster!

      Black Hills is the worst business to work with. BH will not work with you PERIOD. BH does not care about the elderly and disabled. BH creates issues and gives you excuses ********. I have payed my bill on time by automatic payments for over two years. BH has moved my payment now, before the first of the month when I get paid. I'm a disabled veteran. I am on a fixed income. This delinquents my bank account and messes with my Perfect Credit. BH will not do a thing about it and can still be moved back further before the first of the month. This is what I get for being a good customer for almost two and a half years of perfect on time payments. Very Bad Business!!!!....

      We have placed several new manufactured homes, and *************** Black Hills Energy has been problematic with every home. He purposely delays the power installation on several of our houses. He states that he never received our application, or he didn't get the check, or he lost the emails new this morning he said we never had the electrical inspected. We gave him the inspection certificate weeks ago. This house is under contract, and we can't have the appraiser go in without power, which will postpone the loan. The buyer can decline to buy the house since his loan is in jeopardy of increasing interest rates. This could create a financial loss for us and no new house for this buyer. We had a dream of creating affordable housing in our area, and it has worked out great, except for Black Hills Energy creating roadblocks for power.
