Ordered 100 pine trees (ler their website, each tree would be 3-4 feet) and weeks after having places my order, I still had not received anything. Contacted customer support and was told that there was limited supply of matured saplings. Without any further communication, the trees just showed up one day (which isn't the best, since you are supposed to tend to them immediately as they are shipped bare-rooted). However, I only received 83 (17 were missing) and 79 trees were below 3 feet in height. I literally got nowhere with their "customer support" -- every time I messaged them, I was communicating with someone else. I was promised a resolution, but this never happened. Stay away from this nursery. They asked for pictures to prove that the majority of trees were below 3 feet and I sent all 79 pictures to them. UPDATE the owner replied to my review eluding to having offered a resolution in the past. I spent more than $1,000 on 100 trees and got a store credit for $87 (!!) -- for 17 missing trees, which each cost $10 (match clearly doesn't work out). They refused to address the 79 trees that were below 3 feet in height, even though they asked me to take pictures of every single tree (which I did). Not much of a resolution.

My bamboo arrived dead on arrival. I've attached pictures. They wanted me to plant right away, which I did, and report back on status within 90 days, which I did. Their resolution was to give me a store credit for the amount purchased. The problem with that is I am unable to get a complete replacement for the same bamboo because thier current price is nearly doubled. All along they should make it right by replacing the dead plant they shipped me in the first place. I'm not spending extra money on the same plant to replace the dead ones they sent me. I will be asking for them to ship me new bamboo or credit back my credit card the amount of the bamboo. 17.99 (not store credit, as the price is now doubled). This company is in the wrong for not replacing the dead plant within the 90 day warranty period.

Bamboo plants provided arrived dead. Business claims they are dormant. Plant stems are rock hard and cannot be penetrated with the scratch test they demand for refund. Roots are dead. Business will not refund. Thank you for your help.

On March 22, 2022, I made a purchase for $465 worth of trees and groundcover from Tennessee Wholesale Nursery. The order was delivered around April 15, 2022. After a month, it was apparent that more than half of the order did not survive the delivery and was in advanced stages of dying.

I contacted their customer service requesting a replacement and was simply told to give the plants some time. In spite of conducting scratch tests and showing evidence that the plants were dead, I was ignored. I contacted the company again on August 18, 2022 and they asked for new pictures. After finally relenting the company asked for more money to replace the trees.
I found this to be absurd and feel that they simply "ran out the clock" on their 90 day return policy to avoid replacing the items.

In total the majority of the purchase was a waste.
      3 paw paw trees
      1 persimmon
      1 flame leaf sumac
      1 black cherry tree
      3 solomons seal
      1 virginia bluebell
      2 bishop's weed
      1 prairie trillium

The company continues to ignore my requests and ultimately refuses to make me whole. I can see from similar complaints that others have the same experience.

I simply want my money refunded and strongly recommend people avoid this company.

I placed an order with Tennessee Wholesale Nursery on July 8, 2022 for ferns. I never received the product.
When I sent an e-mail to check on the status, I was informed that the product had been delivered and that if I had a problem, to check with the United States Postal Service. I did check with the Post Office and could not obtain any information. The Post Office promised to return my call but did not. However, I kept a steady flow of communication with the Customer Service Department and asked for a replacement since any plants lost for weeks in the North Carolina heat were not going to have survived. I received no concern from them. When I checked online for customer reviews (which I should have done before I ordered), there were many customers with similar experiences to mine stating that they believed the company to be a scam. This is a link for examples:https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/tnnursery.net
A "real person" cannot be reached. If one calls the numbers listed on the web site, there is no way to leave a message. The caller is advised to e-mail and I think that the Customer Service Department must be handled by a third party because of the times that the responses are received and the sometimes strange wording.
Initially, I just wanted to have a new product shipped. Now I just want a refund and to no longer deal with this business.

I called the City of Altamont today to see if they knew if the company were even real. The person to whom I spoke was not sure about the validity of the business but said that her office had received inquiries and complaints about them before my call.

Should you have questions or need additional information, please advise.

      Date of Transaction: 4/16/2022
      Order #: ******
      Order Total: $41.91
Goods: Black Cherry Tree (Height Shipped: 3-4' (Buy1 Get 1 Free), Requested Ship Date: April)

TN Nursery shipped 2 Cherry trees to me. I planted/watered them as instructed, and when they showed no signs of life, I contacted the company on 5/14/22 via email with pictures of the dead trees to request replacements per their tree warranty. The company said they would send replacements by November.

Out-of-the-blue, on 8/11/22, I received an email stating that TN Nursery was giving me an in-store credit instead of shipping me the replacement trees as they originally agreed to do. This in-store credit did not include the shipping, and the price of the trees have changed so that I can no longer even buy ONE tree of the same type/height with the credit they issued, let alone two. I contacted the company again, asking for an explanation, and they have stated that the 'management' decided to give me in-store credit for MY benefit while completely ignoring the fact that they agreed to send replacement trees. Throughout the ensuing correspondence, they have continued to ignore the fact that they agreed to send me replacement trees. Looking at recent reviews of this company, I see that they have done the same thing to other people.

Because they told me back in May that they would replace the trees, I did not dispute the charge on my credit card. Now that it is August, and they have changed how they are going to 'solve the issue' without any input or agreement from me, I have lost the chance to dispute it on my credit card. I would like a full refund, including shipping for a total of $41.91.

They will state that their warranty only covers such-and-such, but they agreed, in writing, to send me replacement trees with no mention of further costs or action on my end. They have failed to keep to the agreement. I have included screenshots of the order and all of the correspondence regarding it.

On May 19th, I placed an order #****** for 5 fruiting Persimmons, 3’-4 tall, $58.83. May 22nd, received an email informing me the trees would not ship until November. Friday, May 27th, the trees show up. I immediately opened the box and it was obvious these trees were dead or dying. I have been in the orchard business for 20+ years and it was obvious. I took pictures the day of arrival. Contacting TN Nursery, they were confident the plants were just dormant. Told me I had a 90 days to file a claim and to just give them time. When the trees did not show life, I contacted TN on June 24, and they asked me to do a “scratch test” and send them zoom pictures. I did, and there was no life in the cambium layer. After TN received the pictures, they asked me to send them the trees. I did this too, at my expense, around June 30th. When I dug them up, I found one to be sprouting below the surface from the roots, (certainly not what I paid for, but I was honest that it was “alive”) so I only sent 4 trees. Finally, on July 18th, I heard from TN and was informed they had gone “above and beyond” and would give me a store credit for $40, the cost of 1 tree now. Their website claims “if your plants die, you can return them for the full in-store credit to reorder the same plants”. I requested the same plants. However, the 5 I bought were on sale at the time of purchase, and now $40 will only replace 1 tree!
It appears there is a ruse going on here. Numerous complaints just like mine. Sell dead stock at a discount, give store credit to use on full price replacement. In the meantime, give the customer the run around in hopes they will just throw their hands up and give up. I told TN I would be making submissions to Consumer Complaints and on July 20th, they said they would “refer this matter to our Operations unit for them to know your concerns. Please wait for my reply.” I never did get a reply! Again, playing the customer to tire them out. I appeal to you.
      Thank you.

On September 16, 2021, I ordered 300 plugs of Appalachian Sedge from Tennessee Wholesale Nursery (TWN) at a cost of $343.28. Because the plugs come in a dormant state, I had to take it on faith that the plant is what TWN claimed that it was. When I planted the TWN plugs, I also planted Appalachian Sedges I had purchased from 2 other nurseries. When the TWN plugs came up in the spring, they looked nothing like the sedges from the other nurseries or the photos on TWN's website. I took one of the TWN plugs to my local nursery, which identified it as "poverty rush." I put photos of the TWN plug through two different plant identifier applications which also identified it as a rush. Rush is not even in the same plant family as Appalachian Sedge, which is a carex. Poverty rush is generally considered a weed. I wrote to TWN providing a picture of the TWN plugs seeking a refund. TWN continues to claim that these plugs are Appalachian Sedge. They are not.

I bought bare root plants from them, did exactly as I was supposed to and none of them thrived. I asked for my money back and have been subjected to email after email asking me to do one thing after the other. Today I get yet another email that says I should sign into my acct. with them and I don't have one. I offered to send the plants back to them so they could see for themselves but apparently that wasn't good enough. I just want a refund at this point, I don't trust that any replacement plants will do any better this late in the season. What I get are snarky responses. I'm a 78 year old woman who just wanted to plant bamboo as a wind barrier. I did not set out to cheat them or mess with them in any way, I just wanted some nice bamboo to grow and it's hard to find. The ferns that they sent were marginal to start with but I gave it a shot, none of them even sprouted let alone thrived

Order ******. I understand the products are bare root plant, but there were absolutely no roots on any of the items I received. In addition the order was not complete and missing geraniums. They did resend 2 geraniums but that did not account for all of the dead twigs that were received for the other items and vines. I have ordered from any places and everything grew and thrived and had roots to grow. I have been in contact with customer service and it is a circle. They keep telling me what I ordered and when I ordered it which I am very well aware of. At this point I do not want a replacement of twigs and since it is end of the growing season, I request a refund of this order. I do NOT want a replacement or credit because the products are not worth the money. The product received and customer service is horrible. It should not take over a month to resolve this issue, but by seeing the compliants on this site, I now understand why.
