      Scam! Should have come here for the reviews first! Three of the top ****** search results all resort back to VitalChek. Had document notarized in person twice, still receiving emails stating the notary seal is illegible. Literally no way the seal could be more legible. No answer or response from customer service. VitalChek needs to be shutdown. As stated in multiple reviews use official government websites.

      I have the same sad story about Vital Chek. When I researched how to obtain a birth certificate, it took me directly to Vital Check, it did not look like an ad. They wanted $68. After multiple back and forth "issues" I became suspicious and finally checked BBB. After reading the reviews I realize I'd been scammed. Lesson learned - when looking for government documents go through government websites. I then went online to the county of birth and within minutes had the application filled out with instructions, and they will charge my cc $34 once I fax the notarized document. I am kicking myself about this. Vital Chek should not be out there. Be warned.

      They charged be almost 70 dollars for a marriage license , I never received it !! I needed it for name change purposes and that time has gone and went it's been 2 months I called and they said October 2022 lol I want a refund . I could be married by then again . This is insane . They are a scam and it's horrible. I am a single mom and that money was my food money for a week and I was tricked into thinking I was gonna get it .

      Poor customer service so far. Requested birth certificate with expedited processing at the beginning of July, but no further update as of the beginning of August. Having said that, I am now reading other reviews that currently make my issue seem trivial. Entertainingly (in an ironic way), this company's statement on the BBB site encourages customers to contact them with issues, however in now three different attempts totaling almost three hours of hold time and hold music, I still have not been able to speak with any customer representatives about my order. VERY POOR - Highly recommend not using this vendor - wish I had checked these reviews prior to placing my order.

      Zero starts this is scam company. I have been waiting since July 14 for my documents to arrive. I contacted them and they simply said they shipped it. (I live alone ) the response I got from them was maybe I should talk to any other person that lives in my house to make sure they didn't throw it away.. then they put resolved under the status of my issue.. NO NO telling me to ask the people that live with me is not a resolve. Especially when I live alone!!! So now what there is no number to call just a email.. SCAM SCAM SCAM..

      I paid for two orders of birth certificates for my son. Never received either. Called and blamed it on the city. Why are they taking my money then? Scum.

      They have you print a form to get notarized, then you sent it to them so they can get your certificate. They will have problem after problem with it even after you fix anything they don't like. It's been almost 2months, I gave up, they got some money from me for doing nothing. You can go to your county records , print out the form get it notarized , add a check and get it faster and cheaper without vitalchek issues.

      I placed on order for a Birth Certificate on May 19, 2022 and after I paid 45 dollars for the certificate and 15.50 for *** Air and 8.00 for the Vital Chek Fee. After they processed my order and then I get on my receipt that I won't get it till Oct 06, 2022. But today July 25, 2022 went back on line to check the status and they said I won't get it till December 23, 2022 and I am suppose to get a passport for a trip that starts on Dec 27, 2022. There is no way. I called them and just wanted my money credited back to me for I will not get it till after my trip. I then call the city where I was born and was able to get a form to place my order for my Birth Certificate. All I want is a refund of my 45 dollars and the *** 15.50 air. I will not recommend this company to anyone. It is so hard to get someone on the phone and they say they can't refund me. Which any company can refund money. I was just asking for a refund.

      Placed an order for a birth certificate in Feb 2022. After being charged twice (once through VitalChek and once through the state's vital records office) for the certificate, I was told by the record office of the state to contact VitalCheck to get a refund. I did so, but VitalCheck said that because the order had already been processed, there was no way to get a refund. Super unhelpful. Just go directly to your state's vital records dept rather than dealing w/ these thieves. I paid then $59 and have gotten nothing.

      I think the VitalChek process is a joke and the joke is on the customer. VitalChek has no incentive to help the customer. They make money by denying service, making recommendations and billing. Then they deny service, make recommendations, and bill. Then they deny service, make recommendations and bill. Then they deny service, make recommendations and bill. You get the picture. It is a corrupt system and and nauseating ride of frustration!
