HORRIBLE quality, long turn around, poor documentation. We will never use this service again!

I did business with Legacybox, however, I believe that they have a couple of names...Southtree. They returned my movies upside down and with people walking backwards and are refusing to fix after taking my money. This is very discouraging.

Received CDs and flash drives back but (my error) never checked them until today. Flash Drives empty! Company refuses to transfer CDs to working flash drives. Must have originals to re-digitize they say. Obviously I no longer have the tapes, that's why I had them digitized. As others have said I wish I had checked reviews first rather than get sucked in by the slick advertising by 'celebrities'.

I wished I had looked on here before I gave them my old VCR tapes with videos of family from baby up to adulthood. The tapes did get back to me, but were very disappointed. They were all very dark, many places so blurry, you couldn't see the people clearly. they put 15-20 minute of tape on a 5 hour length digital tape. I would like to file a complaint with them but can't figure out how to contact them for a refund!!

    I was billed $102.15 on 11/15/24.
I’ve received nothing yet. I’ve called on 11/19/24, waited forever on “wait time about 5 minutes”. Optioned * for a call back, none.
Now a week to the day later, same thing, on hold forever. I optioned * again for a call back. No confidence in this business. Call immediately or refund my money please. I haven’t got time for this.??

This company, Legacybox, does a great deal of advertising, but my experience with them has been extremely disappointing. My contract was not fulfilled, as the final product was done wrong and items (precious ones) are missing. The product was incorrectly produced and was sloppily done. Some of my items are lost. Trying to find help was extremely difficult. I wish I had read these reviews before I entered into the order. I wish there were some way that these reviews were more visible to buyers. It is almost as bad as a scam!

I am disappointed and angry with Southtree, aka Legacybox. I sent 559 photos and two small videotapes to this company in July 2024. I got notification that they received the box on July 31. Two weeks later I received an email telling me that the tapes were not part of the offer I had chosen and they asked menifninwould like to process them for $17.99 each or send them back to me. I replied the very same day telling them that I had tried to reach them to ask if I could send the tapes but nobody ever got back to me. I also asked them to please process the tapes for the price they stated. I figured they already had them so why not. I also reminded them of a second box I had ordered to digitize more photos that I still have not received. The $128.18 was, however, charged and paid immediately.
It is now October2, 2024. I have received 5 more of the exact same email from “Hillary at Legacybox”. I have replied to every email on the same day I received it. I do not think anyone reads these emails. In the last email, which I sent on September 18th, I instructed them to please return all my photos and tapes if they have not been processed yet and to refund my money for the second box that I never got. I have still not heard from them. I tried calling the company and was on the “estimated 5 minute wait time” for 48 minutes before I hung up.
This company has virtually no customer service I support. I had previously gotten photos digitized through ********* which was pretty expensive, although they did an excellent job.. So I thought I would try Legacybox to try to save a few dollars. This experience has reminded me, once again, that you get what you pay for. I would like a refund from them ( now on BOTH BOXES) but even more importantly, I want my 559 photos back. These are memories that cannot be replaced.
So, my WARNING to you is do not waste your hard earned money with this company and take a chance on losing your precious photos.

My sound film was transferred as a silent film, so the frame rate and sound were off/missing. I did not realize that they did not transfer sound, and that was my mistake.
In hopes to make it right I asked if I could resubmit or get a refund and was basically told that I should have paid more attention to the website and nothing could be done.
So now I have lost my money and am right back where I started.

I’m a 71 year old grandmother who wants to be able to relive her memories and share them with family. I paid $275.00 to LegacyBox to digitize some VHS tapes, DVD’s, and cassettes. It took 5 months to get them back. I had to repeatedly call for an update. What I received was distorted video and audio on a thumb drive. The first piece on the thumb drive was unrecognizable. What I sent was a VHS tape with audio and video intact. I have been communicating with Natana. She keeps asking for a clip of my media beside a clip of their’s. I could’nt do it nor could the geek squad from **** **** Next I will contact the Tennessee attorney general

Would give 0 stars if possible! Not only were my digitized videos returned a month later than quoted AFTER heavily complaining to customer service, but the actual product given back was absurd. Listen to the other reviews, LegacyBox does fast and shoddy work once they finally get to your tapes in their queue. What was returned to me was incomplete, disorganized, and awful quality. They sent multiple of videos from certain tapes and didn't digitize most of my tapes. When I complained, they tried to blame it on it being "an art" and that my tapes were bad. However, my tapes play perfectly fine, they just are awful at digitizing.
