On September 18th i contacted Trugreen to schedule an aeration lawn service for my residence. I set up an account and was told if i paid for the service over the phone they would perform the service within 3 days, i told them to proceed and paid them $210.07. After a few days i downloaded their app to check the scheduling, i was informed the service would occur on the 23rd. I though it was late but was going to still be done. Today (9/23) the service still had not been performed and the app said it would now occur on the 28th. I called Trugreen to express my dissatisfaction and told them it needed to be done by the end of the day on the 24th or to return my money immediately. They said they could not do it, i told them to refund my money before the close of business today the 23rd. This has not happened. They have now had my money for more than a week and by now i wont get it until the middle of next week and no service has been provided. I feel they used a tactic of making a promise they had no intention of keeping to get my money.Business Response

The first scheduled aeration of my lawn and overseeding was supposed to take place on 9/12. The employee who showed up did not even get out of his truck said the equipment was broken and left. 9/22 same employee came back and did overseeding and aeration of my front and side yard missed my whole back yard. Charged me $330 which was the price for my whole yard. Said they came back on 9/27 they were here for one minute and did not complete service. I called again and asked for another technician sent another technician out on 9/29 was here for one minute and did not complete service. I keep asking for a manager to call me I am not paying $330 I will pay half this since they did half the job. I don't want anyone else coming out to attempt a service that has been attempted 3 times now.Business Response

I am not a customer of **********************. They mistakenly made a pesticide application to my newly reseeded lawn that was intended for the next-door neighbor on Sept 28. According to the product label, the material they used will interfere with the germination of the seed applied to my lawn on Sept 15. I have tried several numbers trying to contact the ******* ** TruGreen branch. All numbers are routed to a customer service agent. I talked to four different agents and ask that they put me in touch with the ******* branch. All four said they could not give me the number and had no way to contact the branch themselves. I asked that they escalate the request to their supervisor. Three refused to do so. One said she would have her supervisor call me. All four said the only thing they can do is to place my information in "the system" and I should hear from someone in ***** hours. To date I have not heard from any TG personnel. TruGreen is obviously aware of the problem as they dispatched someone to treat the neighbors lawn on Sept 30. TruGreen is clearly in the wrong as they entered my property without permission and misapplied a pesticide that will inhibit the generation of my recent seeding. Why they won't give me the courtesy of a call is baffling. All I want is a visit from the local branch manager to review the situation and propose some sort of restitution for the damages caused to my seeding activities.Business Response

************** agreement for $568.34 to have lawn fertilized and treated on intervals until weeds dissipated and a lush healthy lawn resulted. Instead, the extent of neglect and lack of proper protocol by TruGreen has resulted in destruction of private property. My lawn has been destroyed. I've called and have sent numerous email stating concern that my lawn was deteriorating. My complaints date back to April 10th, 2022.TruGreen's resolution was to send team who were not properly trained and who caused more harm than good. After 1 year of frustration, time, money, and lawn destruction I contacted TruGreen stating that I would resort to further action if my requests of a full refund for paid services and an additional credit to hire another team to fix my lawn. ******************* and *****,lawn specialist, personally stopped by and both agreed that the lawn was in terrible condition and the most recent aeration and seeding treatment was not done properly.Unfortunately, even though ***** personally saw my lawn, he has not responded to 2 emails for a full refund and a credit for the cost to repair.I've contacted TruGreen multiple times over the past year regarding this matter. I am rejecting this response because: After discussing with ***************** I was not completely confident with TruGreen's ability to rectify the lawn destruction caused over the year as outlined in the service agreement.Countless complaints on ****** reviews, Yelp, and Trust Pilot confirmed that TruGreen has issues honoring their service agreements.
In additional to a full refund for all services paid, TruGreen needs to pay for all lawn rehabilitation services from ANOTHER company. I am currently getting bids. For this matter to be rectified, this is what's needed.

On 9/14/22, True Green came to my property to perform an AERATION/OVER SEED service. When I got home I walked the yard to inspect job. Large sections of the yard had not been aerated. I also could not find any traces of grass seed. I signed in to check the work order as one was not left at house per normal, and it clearly stated, "Today I aerated and over seeded your yard" with an amount of ***** pounds of seed used. I had my wife, as well as the man that manages landscaping on my property walk the yard as well. No grass seed. I have True Green on auto-pay so I was charged $1138.48 on 9/15/22. I started contact with True Green at that point complaining about aeration not completed as well as being charged for grass seed that was not put down. They said they would schedule a re-service. I asked about the work order saying work had been done and wasn't and was told abruptly a re-service was scheduled. They did not show any concern that their company had committed fraud against me. I clearly stated I did not want the same worker, *************************, at my house again. I waited for re-service but no one showed up. I called several times working to resolve this and asking for the local manager to contact me. I was told repeatedly they would in 24/48 hours. No manager ever called. After multiple promises from Truegreen to have a manager contact me to resolve this, I finally fired them and requested a full refund. I was told this had to be okayed by district manager and would hear from him/her in 24/48 hours. No manager has ever called to discuss this or offer to come to my property to see the proof of work that was charged to me but not done. Even after firing them, on 9/28, they still sent the same worker, *************************, to my property to put down seed. He missed entire sections of my yard and when confronted, said he didnt know if he had been to my place before. Now today, 10/1/22, True Green has not refunded but charged me $509.00.Business Response

I signed up for Trugreen lawn care services a year ago after putting down new sod at our newly built home, my first service was on 9/18/21. I have received quarterly services since the start and began noticing that when the Trugreen techs came to my home, they either ran through my yard as quickly as they could or they would stay in their truck and then leave after 5 minutes. Each occasion I noticed the techs were not at my home for longer than 5 minutes. I would receive calls often about adding services but I questioned how the techs would notice the conditions of my lawn when they take such little time when they're servicing it. I noticed some of my shrubs in my landscaping were getting eaten by bugs so I added the shrub service to correct the issue. When this service took place I noticed the tech wasn't spraying all of my shrubs. I confronted him about this and he said he saw a honey bee so he couldn't spray those plants. I did not see any honey bees. I have been expressing these concerns to Trugreen when they call but do not get calls back about these concerns. Over the summer my yard developed large brown spots and now I have dead patches where weeds have taken over. I called Trugreen and even sent pictures of these conditions to a CSR, they sent a field manager to my home a week later. He said my yard had fungal growth that should have been treated long ago to avoid the grass dying, he apologized for the techs and mentioned high turnover as an issue. Trugreen then stated they'd provide a free service to correct the issue. This service occurred the following day and the tech sprayed the front and side yard but did not spray our backyard. When I approached him about this concern, he said he didn't know where the property line was, so I told him our backyard backs to the *****. I asked him to spray our backyard and he refused with stating "No and if you have a complaint you can call Trugreen." The tech then quickly left. Now I'm waiting to hear from a branch man.Business Response

I have been enrolled in TruGreen's TruHealth plan for more than 1 year. During this time, the health of my lawn has only deteriorated. Many brown spots and bare spots have appeared and increased in number and size. A TruGreen manager who came and saw it said that the problem was not due to insects or disease but in the type of fertilizer that they were using. I have complained by phone many times over the last 12 months, but no improvement. TrueGreen promised several times to make improvement including spreading lime to balance the ** of the lawn but they never did that. TrueGreen did not fully implement the terms of the TruHealth Plan. TrueGreen did not fulfill the pledge of the TruGreen Guarantee. A TruGreen Manager promised to given come out to my residence on 9/28/2022 to discuss it but never showed up. TruGreen broke many promises. I spent many hours on the phone to their **************** trying to get some assistance. I never received the healthy lawn that TruGreen promised that I would be proud of. In response, I am seeking a full refund of all monies paid over the life of the program so that I can spend that money on remediation actions to recover the health of my lawn.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I met with *********************** at my residence and ****** offered me several services for free or at a reduced cost to help correct the problems with my lawn.
Later, *********************** and someone else from the local office called me to say that I would soon receive a call from TruGreen corporate office, and that Corporate did not know of our agreement. I should talk with Corporate to reopen my closed account. That I should agree with everything that Corporate said and the charges "would be adjusted on the backend. Basically, I should lie to Corporate and agree to what Corporate said that were not true and I should rely on the agreement with the local office to be done.
Sonn, a fellow from the corporate office called on a recorded line. He wanted to open a new account for a limited TruMaintence plan that did not include the features of my previous TruHealth plan. He wanted to charge me a higher price for the reduced plan. He wanted to charge me an additional $268 for the lawn aeration that the local office offered for $100. He said that, even in the TruHealth plan, that soil balancing with lime was a "cost added side." (Not part of the plan).
The fellow from Corporate would not listen to me. I did not feel comfortable agreeing to all of the things that they said that were not true. I refuse to open a new account on a recorded line with these terms, so I rejected it and hung up.
Because of all the subterfuge, even with the free services that were offered, I do not feel the TruGreen is a trustworthy, honest, and forthright company that I could rely on for the long run to manage the health of my lawn. I do not feel that TruGreen had my best interests at heart. I do not feel that TruGreen is a good company to do business with.

I am rejecting this response because: I am still waiting to see if TruGreen can deliver the healthy lawn that they first promised to me as part of my paid TruHealth Plan. I understand that it will take several applications and part of next year's growing season to show much improvement in the health of my lawn. I also think that TruGreen is not yet performing professionally in several, ways. In addition, I don't think that TruGreen communicates well enough with their customers. I am hoping that things will improve early next year and TruGreen and I can come to an acceptable working relationship. I hope that TruGreen can deliver the healthy lawn that they promised or refund the money that I paid for that lawn. I hope that in the future, with improvements, I can trust TruGreen to professionally manage my lawn in my stead. We are not at that point yet.

Complaint: 18148609I am rejecting this response because: I have not yet received the healthy lawn that TruGreen promised that I would receive in the fall of 2021 when I started my TruHealth Plan. The grass on my front lawn has stopped growing, the grass has stopped spreading, and the bare spots are still increasing in number and size. Speaking with *********************** at TruGreen, it will take several months into the Spring of 2023 before we will begin to see if the results of the remediation steps that we have taken recently will begin to bear fruit to return my lawn to a healthy and growing condition. We will have to wait until then to see if TruGreen can provide the healthy lawn that they have promised.
I am hoping that TruGreen will be successful with what they have said that they could do and that I can continue with TruGreen managing the health of my lawn. Time will tell our final result.
