1 starWalked in dollar general Tuesday, 06/02/2024. Looking to but a few items and decided to wait until I took care of a situation that was happening with my tractor trailer so I placed the items down and walked out. Minutes later I'm being accused of stealing, harassed, and was even called out of my race all because an employee didn't wanna apologize this happened in Heiskell, TN 1928 Raccoon Valley Dr. The employee didn't just hurl it once she did so twice in front of other customers and did not care. I've spoken to a few people from corporate but that still doesn't resolve anything. She's on a live video calling me out my race. I'd like this to be shown across America this store needs to be shut down. This caused sincere trauma and chest pains because of her actions. I've sent the video to a DISTRICT MANAGER BUT I FEEL THAT THEY DONT CARE.Review fromStephenie F.

There was literally a sign saying buy one get one half off hand towels, wash clothes, and towels from $3- $10. The sign on the towel was $3.50. When I got to the register they rang up as $6.50. I told her they were supposed to be buy one get one half off, went and took a picture of the sign and showed her. She said that's for the green dot items. We looked and the towel had a green dot and literally everything on the tag matched the sign, but she still refused to give me the towels for the sale price they advertised.Dollar General

The fact that dollar general cannot print a receipt at a store level is ludicrous. What about the individuals that are required to have receipts because they are a business or using SSI. Horrible business practiceDollar General

I have the app downloaded on my phone so before I leave the house to go there I always check to see what’s on sale and how much money I can save or get cash back, every time I go in the store you can never get the app to work, that’s number one red flag, two certain item says there a sale but when you go to check out it’s a different price or they only give half off of what it says on the app, it’s never the actual sale price, some of the employees are rude and get an attitude with you when you let them know that the price is not right. I don’t know what going on with that store or the mangers, but I think they are changing the prices and having people pay more and make it look like they are saving money but they really not, this store needs to be investigated because they are ripping people off every day and pocketing the money, I will not be shopping at any dollar general store again.Dollar General

There is such such a scam on their coupons. Every time I go in there to make a purchase with the sole reason being that they have a coupon on this item there was always something wrong with. It won’t tell me until the transaction is complete so I wouldn’t know if my coupon went through until after they have received my money then I have to do a return and then they make it so difficult that you just walk out without getting the item that you went in there for couldn’t even do a price to adjust the price that they advertise this item for it is just a joke. Prices are never right, and then the manager tells me that there is nothing that they can do which is ridiculous to me as a customerDollar General

The first item about being charged for 2 phone cards of which I only wanted one was absolutely right but the second complaint about being over charged on my credit card is in error. Someone Bring Out Stock, Who Acts like he does not know what he is doing.
Not Quite An Friendly Environment. Anymore.
Then on The way over, The Cirus was in Town,
You can't Treat Everyone,The way You Treat The Homeless, And Street People,
I Just Watched, It is Sad To Watch,
But, It's why I Got Away From

They Can Bully Them Not Me.
I spent My life working with Them,

I love dollar general, however the closest one to my house in Ivor, VA is awful. They are understaffed, things are always still in boxes, they don’t have a working bathroom which for staff that’s super unfortunate there’s really no where walking distance to use facilities. It is hot as an oven in there, it was uncomfortable for me to run in and grab one thing I spent less than 5 minutes and can’t believe people work in these conditions. The self check out was recently installed and never worked. The management there is reminiscent of high school, I don’t know who to contact to make changes or what needs to be done but it has potential to be so much better than it is. I hate having to drive further to a properly operating DG but I will continue to do so until the staff has better conditions and the store is actually able to shop inDollar General

I went to the Kings highway location and bought a flour based grocery item.
The register taxed this grocery item. I brought it the manager attention Ms. S***. She said she would let her leadership know.
This is illegal in the state of Texas. I reported it to the district 1 representative.Dollar General

I visited the store number 20738. When I checked out, the price was higher than the amount listed on the shelf. When I brought it to the attention of the store employee, her attitude was condescending and nasty. These employees have no respect for customers. Some of the language that I have heard them use is disgusting. They are ill mannered. They begrudgingly corrected the price. This happens quite often at this store.Dollar General
