      The Dollar General in Villa Park Illinois has been my mother’s go to dollar store for a while, but yesterday 08/6/2024 the store manager Chris was not having a good day. When my mother asked him a question about the coupons on your app he was extremely rude. Not only that but he said some very racial things like “go back to your country” and “your stupid you can’t even read English”, he also FOLLOWED MY MOTHER OUTSIDE THE STORE!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He then told her it’s “HIS” store and to never come back, we made multiple complaint to corporate, even went to the police. He needs to be fired immediately that kind of behavior should be unacceptable especially in that area.

      Upon entering the store at 5107 Ritchie Hwy, Brooklyn Park, MD 21225, on August 4, 2024, a manager, shouted from the front checkout of the store into the isle, instructing me to check my empty reusable bag. Initially, I did not understand his request because, for many years, I have shopped at various locations almost daily and have never been approached in this manner. He then mockingly stated to other customers that "I didn't get it," prompting laughter from several other customers. When I attempted to explain that my bag was empty and unfolded it to show him, he insisted that I needed to check it because, according to him, "although it's empty, I will leave with a full bag of stolen merchandise." This public accusation was not only humiliating but also unjustified.
      Furthermore, I observed other customers carrying reusable bags and large purses who were not subjected to the same scrutiny. When I pointed this out, the employee dismissively told me that I didn't have to purchase anything and could "get the **** out of his store." His conduct was discriminatory and unprofessional, violating customer service standards. Such treatment may also violate consumer protection laws that guard against discrimination and defamation. Publicly making unfounded accusations could damage my reputation and is considered unethical and illegal under defamation law.

      Dollar general consistently promotes false advertising in their weekly circulars. Last week they promoted two items in their weekly ad for a certain price as long as the customer clips the manufacturer coupons. The coupons were no where to be found in the app or website so I contacted them. After their investigation, they responded that the manufacture set a limit on the coupon so there’s nothing they could do and did not even offer a resolution. Unsatisfied with that answer I pressed for a better response. They then offered a $5 gift card but doubled down on this situation being out of their control. While that may be true, no accountability was taken in the fact that they still promoted the price of the items inclusive of a coupon that was not available. If the manufacturer sets a limit, the final price with the coupon should not be advertised, especially when there is no disclaimer or fine print indicating such limits. It’s misleading to customers and complete false advertising.

      Purchased over 30 Bai drinks in a store on 53rd St in Anderson, Indiana. 16 of those drinks expired almost a year earlier. I was told to bring them back to exchange, drove 25 miles, spent 40 minutes at the store the clerk couldn't figure out how to do it... she tried to reach a manager the whole time I was there and was unable to. Left the store and called back before we left town, was told that they couldn't exchange the drinks. I needed to contact the vendor, asked for vendor information, they didn't know. 4 calls to the corporate office and I was told that the district manager would call me, the last call I was told I would hear from the regional manager....still no response. Extremely poor customer service.

      The Dollar General in Weyers Cave Va. is unsafe as the air conditioning is not working and employees are using fans. The temps have been triple digits. And as a customer I refuse to shop there. OSHA needs to be invoked at this point. Multiple requests have been sent to fixed the unit. But nothing done.
      This is a corporate issue that is not getting resolved!

      The Dollar general near us has a trash heap behind their store which is causing trash to be blown over or around the fence on to our property and others as well. We are in our 70s and keep our yard clean but it's hard when they throw their trash on the ground and leave it there to be blown about. It is under-staffed but it seems they could get someone to pick up the trash.

      The cashier admitted to having covid but was made to work. I find it highly offensive that he worked, knowing he could pass it on to the public.

      Walked in dollar general Tuesday, 06/02/2024. Looking to but a few items and decided to wait until I took care of a situation that was happening with my tractor trailer so I placed the items down and walked out. Minutes later I'm being accused of stealing, harassed, and was even called out of my race all because an employee didn't wanna apologize this happened in Heiskell, TN 1928 Raccoon Valley Dr. The employee didn't just hurl it once she did so twice in front of other customers and did not care. I've spoken to a few people from corporate but that still doesn't resolve anything. She's on a live video calling me out my race. I'd like this to be shown across America this store needs to be shut down. This caused sincere trauma and chest pains because of her actions. I've sent the video to a DISTRICT MANAGER BUT I FEEL THAT THEY DONT CARE.

      There was literally a sign saying buy one get one half off hand towels, wash clothes, and towels from $3- $10. The sign on the towel was $3.50. When I got to the register they rang up as $6.50. I told her they were supposed to be buy one get one half off, went and took a picture of the sign and showed her. She said that's for the green dot items. We looked and the towel had a green dot and literally everything on the tag matched the sign, but she still refused to give me the towels for the sale price they advertised.
