During the week on 19 May 2025, I contacted with US Star Trucking LLC to inquire about having my vehicle transported from ******* ** ** *********** **.
US Star Trucking LLC quoted me a price for $250, with pick-up on 27 May and delivery on 28 May.
I signed a contract on for the transport on 23 May 2025.
On Tuesday, 27 May, I drove approximately200 miles to meet US Star Trucking LLC in ******* ** so that I could oversee the loading of my vehicle. When I arrived at the agreed upon pick-up location, I called US Star Trucking LLC to confirm that everything was all set, and the vehicle was ready for pick-up. During this phone call, ***** from US Star Trucking LLC, informed me that he would not honor his contract, and wanted $575 to do the job. I was in shock and disbelief that the company would renege on a signed contract, demand more than double what they quoted me and tried to extort additional funds, thinking I was desperate and had no other options. ***** made these demands while on speaker phone, and his demands were overheard by employees of the dealership (employees not known to me). We were all stunned at *****'s demands as well as his unethical and unlawful behavior.
I informed ***** from US Star Trucking LLC, that he had a signed contract for a specific price and that if he couldn't do the job for the agreed upon price, I would not do business with him. He refused to honor his contract and I decided to end the call and not do business with such a corrupt and unethical business.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The reply is completely non-responsive and did not address a single issue raised in my complaint. I had a signed contract with an agreed upon price with US Star Trucking. They provided the price quote that I accepted. It was up to US Star Trucking to negotiate a price with a driver and provide me with that price. Instead, they did the classic (and illegal) "bait and switch". They quoted me a low price, signed a contract for that price and then tried to extort additional money when they thought I was desperate for their services. I have contacted **** ****** ******** ******** ********* ******* *** ******** *******t to investigate US Star Trucking and their actions in this matter.

I signed a contract with the business to transport my vehicle for $550. The day before it was supposed to be picked up, they told me it was not possible for $550 but that I had to pay $850. By that time, I had arranged personal travel, family, and friends to coordinate the pickup and drop off. This was on 17 May 2025. I had no choice given the timeline but to agree to the more expensive price after I had arranged everything. They were two hours late on pickup. Then, I was given a day and a half window in which I had to be available for delivery. I was given 40 minutes notice of drop off. Then I had to pay via Zelle directly to the driver, which felt like a scam.Business Response

I hired US Star Trucking LLC to ship my 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid. **** said he would be able to do it without my keys and I signed a contract Tuesday May 13th 2025. He did not complete the job on the day we agreed to. Than he had me sign an additional contract where he spiked the price due to the car not having keys although I told him upfront I did not have to keys. He again told me he would have it done on Thursday May 15th multiple times (I have all messages saved) Him, the driver he hired and the secretary at the company that was hired by US Star Trucking LLC did not complete the task as promised and provided poor customer service. The driver damaged my car door. I have text messages and photos of the lies and damages. I am asking for the money I paid to be refunded, compensation for the damage they did to my car, compensation for lying to me, wasting my time and violating two contracts and the overall disrespect and emotional stress the whole ordeal put me through. **** made multiple false promises, violated two contracts, and did not perform the services he promised.Business Response

In late March 2025 I contacted US Star Trucking to arrange for them to ship a car from Connecticut to Vermont. The agreement was theywould pick the car up on May 1 and drop it off the same day. They contacted me on April 30 stating They had a driver available at that time and if it was OK to pick the car up on April 30. I said yes butunfortunately the driver never showed up. They then said the driver would show up on May 1 but again the driver never showed up. I explicitly indirectly told them that I needed the car delivered no later than the evening of April 1 because I was leaving the country that evening they agreed. As noted the car was never delivered so I requested a full refund of my deposit. They refuse to pay it. Therefore, I am out $200 without ever receiving any services.Business Response

In the past, I successfully used this service to deliver my vehicle while stationed overseas, which led me to trust this company again to transport my vehicle upon my return to North Carolina. Unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing and unacceptable.
On 3/28/2025 I signed a contract with your representative, ****** ***** for a $500 deposit and $800 COD. *** **** contacted me multiple times via phone to encourage me to sign the contract, which I have documented. However, after I signed, he unilaterally booked a driver for an additional $300 COD and increased the deposit by $20, without my consent or prior notification. Furthermore, there was no amended contract provided, as required by Line 2 of our agreement, which states that modifications must be made in writing and signed by an authorized officer of US Star Trucking LLC.
Despite my immediate objection to the unauthorized changes, *** **** scheduled the driver without my permission and later stated he would find another carrier. However, he never followed through and instead insisted the original arrangement was final, offering minor discounts for future services, which I declined. His communication was both unprofessional and disrespectful; he even accused me of lying during a subsequent call.
I attempted to resolve the matter amicably by sending multiple emails to your company, but received no response until I mentioned filing a complaint. When I did finally receive calls from Andrew and another representative named James, both hung up on me mid-conversation, which I find highly unprofessional (one of these calls was recorded).
Additionally, there was no Bill of Lading provided at either pickup or delivery. This lack of proper documentation is a serious breach of industry standards.
Given the numerous breaches of contract and the unacceptable handling of my concerns, I am requesting a full refund of my $520 deposit in accordance with Line 23 of the contract. I have retained all communications.Business Response

On 1/31/2025 my fiancé and I used US STAR TRUCKING LLC out of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Throughout the process both vehicles we were shipping were stolen due to US STAR negligence. The vehicles were a 2022 Lamborghini urus and a 2024 Cadillac Escalade. Both these vehicles had personal contents inside and we’ve taken an unimaginable loss due to this company. US STAR TRUCKING claims to have reserved RAM TANSPORTATION LLC out of Nevada to transport our vehicles but this company is not operable and doesn’t have current insurance to transport cars. This should have been easily caught by US STAR but due to their negligence we are out of a vehicle and personal items. I want to ensure other consumers are not put into the same situation. I believe the public should be made aware so that this doesn’t continue to happen.Business Response

This is a car shipment from CA to TX. Complain to the Broker company.
Date of the transaction to the trucking company: 01/17/2025 via Zelle the amount of payment: $1,450.00 including storage fee(s) $250. The Original contract amount: $750.00. The scheduled pick-up date was 01/10/25 No one contacted me at least a day before. I got text messages from the broker, Jake, and was told that they don't take credit card payments and send money via Zelle. I was not able to do at the time because I was out of the office. Then he increased the shipping cost to $1,200 for the distance to pick up and the enclosed trailer service even though I didn't ask and want. I refused and asked him to cancel the service but he kept asking me to pay the cancellation fee $200 and I replied to No and cancel it. Then the next day 01/11/25 in the morning, a driver picked up the car from my dealer without my agreement. It arrived at my home on Monday 01/13 without pre-information of the ETA. My wife was at home and told me the driver asked to pay $1,200 in cash I refused that because I had never agreed to the cost and tried to contact the broker but he and the company have never answered or replied to me From the day of pick-up to Thu 01/16. The trucking company stored my car in the storage and it charged an additional storage fee to get it.
On Friday 01/17 I contacted the trucking company and tried to get the car because I didn't want to add the storage fees day-by-day since the broker never taken care of this. I sent money $1,450 via Zelle which they asked for on Friday night and picked up the car. The trucking company told me that he sent me the receipt of the storage fee of $250 for 5 days but he didn't send it and replied to me until today 02/05/25. The trucking company told me that it must be handled by the broker but they only ship and the broker emailed me that they didn't care about the storage fee because I didn't receive it on the day.
