      Got a car loan through this TVA. With no explanation whatsoever they had us sign documents that they quickly just summarized is protection for us the buyer NEVER communicated that is was "gap insurance" (we bought a vehicle over $6.5k over kbb and nada valuation which made gap insurance unnecessary). This was a $699.00 fee they added to our loan without telling us. Then they proceed to charge another $31.46 monthly in the loan for insurance as well? When I called to ask about it they said they could take the insurance off but could refund us. In other words: we keep the $699.00 and give you NO service. Wow Completely deceptive practice. It makes me wonder if the loan officers get commission off these add ins Why else not tell us and trick us like they did? These insurances were optional yet they gave us no options

      I’ve been dealing with credit unions for 50 years now and Knoxville TVS is by far the worst institution I’ve ever dealt with! They allowed my credit card to get hacked, then contacted me and even admitted their online security was inferior. It has been a total nightmare trying to to work with them to correct my account. Please stay away from this poorly managed credit union. When they were working with me to correct the problem: they wanted me to sit by my phone for 30 minutes to 2 hours so a supervisor could call me when it was a good time for him! Terrible, terrible customer service.

      My husband and I just created our first joint checking account with TVA. A fraudulent charge recently came out of our account. We filled out the fraud dispute form with both TVA and Paypal, immediately locked our card, and contacted Paypal (where the charge took place). Paypal looked at our dispute and attempted to refund the charge back to our TVA account.
      TVA DENIED the refunded deposit that Paypal tried to issue. I have repeatedly tried to get help with this matter, as a $425 fraudulent charge causes strain in our finances, especially around the holidays. Everyone that I speak to is kind but tells me to call back in "a few days." I feel as if my money is lost in thin air and we are being given the go around. We have heard nothing back from TVA about our dispute form days ago. We feel unsupported in this major fraudulent issue. I want to continue with TVA but truly need support and do not know what to do.

      No stars they allowed my account to be taken over by someone leaving me in debt and homelessand owng them after disputing charges and told me people could take over someone's account by where wigs do not bank with them

      I'm experiencing the worst banking experience I think I've ever dealt with today with KTVA. HORRIBLE! I seem to have a better understanding of what is legally acceptable & what is not. Unbelievable! Definitely changing financial institutions ASAP!

      I've banked with TVA for two decades. Until recently, it was just the place my money was kept. Everyone there had always been friendly and I had no issues, until I decided to take out a mortgage.
      You do not have the ability to automatically pay your mortgage with funds in your TVA Checking - it must be done by their mortgage team.
      Last year, their auto pay stopped when the escrow increased by $2; I missed a mortgage payment. They called, back dated the payment, and updated the auto pay. Annoying, but fine.
      This year, I was not informed and they left the auto pay off for 3 months. I have a lot of personal tragedy currently taking place and wasn't paying a ton of attention to my bank account. There was enough available for 6 months of mortgage payments.
      But, when my credit dropped 103 points, I noticed. Checking in on my accounts, they had taken the missed payments - they were capable of it the entire time. They just waited until my credit took a dive to do anything.
      When I called, asking why I wasn't notified in any way, the only answer I was given was "We sent you an escrow change letter, in January." Great. Thanks.
      If you just need a place to keep money, they're passable. For any banking beyond that, look elsewhere.

      Have had a savings account for years and have been very happy with them and all customer service I have received. In addition I received timely notices by text when there was suspected fraudulent activity on my debit card. It was reported and resolved in a timely manner. Very pleased with the Market Square office as that is where I have done most of my business.

      Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is, by far, the WORST financial institution I have ever dealt with, and in 81 years I have dealt with a lot of them.
      Their website is anything but user friendly, the customer service, for a lack of a better word, sucks,
      and I have two loans through them - a car loan and a visa card.
      While the car loan will accept electronic transfer from my bank, the visa card will not. I attempted to set up an electronic transfer and was told they cannot do it - while they can with the auto loan.
      I inadvertently, forgot a visa loan payment for Dec in the amount of *******  When I was notified of the discrepancy I informed them that I would make it up in Jan, and told them two more times after that. Since then I, and my wife, have received 2 letters of "past due" and 1 letter stating that the matter was under investigation by the collection department. Amount in question is for $30. I have returned a payment of **** which will pay off the account. As of this date it still has not been posted (because a paper check had to be sent to them from my bank) and it takes them forever to get it posted (not due until the 25th).

      had the and beginning to notice fraudulent activity in july i was hit by a cash appwly not caaaaaash app for alot and over the months as i was hospitalized it conrtinued even with my account locked they changed my phone locked my wmail address and i bouldnt get into online banking. i almost died and couldny get n
