I have always made payments two or three months ahead of the due date; for some reason, you are charging me a late fee on a payment due on 10/26/23 that was cashed by TVA CU on 9/18/23! Have you no shame? Why are you charging me a late fee on a payment that was made more than a month ahead of the due date. I guess you are just as bad as any given bank! SHAME ON YOU! I will report this egregious lack of upstanding businessship to any and every agency possible as well as social media. I will NEVER do or recommend doing business with you again! I am appalled and sickened by your greedy and... whatever; you have lost all of any confidence I might have had in you.

I have been a member with TVA for at least 15-20 years. I have done several loans with them. The most recent I just did, spoke with Tammy Myers. After her stating my loan approval, which I have excellent credit and knew it would be, she goes over payments with me. Little did I know my payment was packed with life ins and disability and who knows what else. Ok, fine, maybe they’re trained to do that. She very vaguely mentioned it was “included” in my payment at the end. I said what is my payment with nothing extra added to it. It was much lower. I said that I don’t want anything and would pass on the extra. Hard enough to pay 9% with excellent credit. Went to finish paperwork, and everything looked good. The box with extra options was checked “No protection” so I signed off and good to go. Not so good when I get my first payment and see $-45.38 added to my principle. I clearly stated nothing extra, signed off on no other options and still she adds it to my loan after I signed all docs. This can’t be legal. I call TVA and they say they can’t do anything about it but give me a number to call that can help. So I’m spending my day trying to contact this other company and cancel whatever Tammy decides she needed to add to my loan after all docs were signed. I cannot believe TVA allows this to happen to their members. I will be refinancing asap. I’m highly upset with them. I work too hard to have someone take money from me like that. It’s just not right. I hate to leave this review, but I want others to look closely at what they are paying and don’t let them take money from you that you did not know about.

Had financial problems due to a traumatic injury. Would not work with us on payments (take a partial of what we could afford). Suggested we let all others go to pay them (including house payment and utilities). Used threatening and degrading language. Explained employment had been obtained, but would not give time to catch up. Offered to do a voluntary repossession of vehicle, but they had many restrictions and business time constraints that did not work with the job schedule, forcing an involuntary repossession. Horrible customer service all around. Representatives at branch level always act like you are a bother to them. So different from the normal credit union experience where you are a member, not just a customer.
This is a company no one should do business with. And the hours are so restricted that it makes it difficult for the normal working person to be able to do business with. And if considering doing any type of lending product please be aware that they have very poor business policies. A huge fail all around.
