Customer Name: ***** ****** Original complaint issued to business in February 14th. Resolution still not reached by April 25th (today's date) despite repeated email reminders/check-ins with ************* Specialist. Customer has been unable to install drawer microwave since February 14th.Please see the attached pictures and installation instructions. Installed microwave drawer base cabinet is not sufficient in dimensions to install 24" microwave drawer. The base cabinet width itself (24") is correct and the interior cabinet width (22-1/2") is sufficient. However, there is a frame/lip around the front of the opening that is only 21" in width. All 24" base cabinet width drawer microwaves require at least a 22-1/8" opening. See dimension "G" in Figure 1 on page 2 of the attached installation instructions. The height of the opening looks to be more than sufficient in length (18").Requesting that Cabinet To Go modifies the current base cabinet trim to meet the minimum width requirement for installation of 24" microwave drawer units. For an order of this value, adequate/proper dimensions are a minimum expectation.Business Response

The customer provided the model number for their fridge at the point of sale, not the microwave.Customer Answer

Complaint: 23251271
Good Afternoon,
The drawings provided to and signed by the customer at the point of sale indicate a horizontal dimension of 24 inches for the "BW24MD" cabinet. See page 6 on the attached document. The allowable space provided by the currently installed cabinet with the additional trim is 21 inches which (a) is not sufficient for installation of a 24 inch base cabinet microwave drawer and (b) does not meet the drawing dimension agreed to at point of sale.
Additionally, no standard ************************************************************************** the provided space given the restricted width due to the additional trim.
We are NOT requesting a replacement product. Rather, we are simply requesting that the currently installed base cabinet be modified to allow for installation of a 24 inch base cabinet microwave drawer by a Cabinets To Go contractor (preferably ******* ********, the contractor who originally installed the cabinets) at no additional cost to the customer.
Best,
Ashir

We contacted Cabinets to Go within the initial 12-month warranty period to request a repair to the installation of some lower cabinets where the drawers bump into each other and the cabinet doors are sagging. They have repeatedly ignored our requests and keep asking for photos (which we've already sent them several times). This has been going on for many months. Now they're claiming the cabinet install is out of warranty because they've delayed this repeatedly. All they need to do is send an installer to our house to adjust the base cabinets!!!!!Business Response

Fall 2022 I purchased cabinets from Cabinets to go through what I now know is an unlicensed contractor that is recognized as a Licensed contract at the Cabinets to Go ********************. That contractor damaged a drawer front and she said she was going to get a replacement. That NEVER happened; therefore, I attempted to purchase a replacement door front from Cabinets to go. I received nothing but a run around. First, they refused to sell door front to me then they said they would sell me the door front, however I've not been contacted by Cabinets to go in weeks. I was told that **** from **************** would contact me for payment. This was 02.24.25. I've received no such call. I've been going back and forth since January 2025. They seem to be more interested in protecting the unlicensed contractor rather than the person that actually paid for the cabinets. Cabinets to Go **************** is abysmal at best. Completely incompetent and unable to work off company script to recognize the actual problem and find a solution for paying customers. I have detailed timeframe of events that I will upload along w/copy of my credit card receipt showing I purchased the cabinets, not ***** ******** (unlicensed contractor). Latest Case # is ******.Business Response

We purchased cabinets and paid for the installation of the cabinets from Cabinets To Go. The original cost was $18,926.94 and we paid for this on August 27, 2024. After the cabinets arrived at the end of September, the installation began on Wednesday, October 2. ****, the installer hired through Cabinets To Go, did a fantastic job. When he began installing, he noticed that there were cabinets that had arrived damaged, doors that were warped, shelves damaged, and inserts that had been suggested by one of the Cabinets To Go designers that didn't work as promised. He took pictures and sent them into the corporate office.Cabinets To Go sent replacement parts, and **** came back out to replace the damaged cabinets, doors, and shelves on Tuesday, October 29. Those parts were damaged; interior parts of the cabinets that were peeling; other interior cabinet parts there were poorly manufactured and did not line up; the frames of two cabinets were also cracked. **** again took pictures and sent them to the corporate office. When they requested more pictures, we sent in a power point showing the ********** parts were shipped and **** came out Tuesday, December 3 to again replace the damaged parts. When he opened one of the cabinets, it was chipped and cracked. He installed it anyway so we would have a cabinet for Christmas. I took pictures and **** used them to send in to the corporate office so they could again send a replacement cabinet. I was notified the replacement cabinet had arrived at the store on Friday, January 24, 2025. I went to the store to inspect it, and saw that the frame was cracked. One of the designers said the frame could be used inside the cabinet so the damage would be hidden. **** came out the next week to install the cabinet. While the installer was great we have been very disappointed with the lack of quality of the product Cabinets To Go has produced for us.Business Response

Customer signed off on the completion form on 1/29/25 and put on the work order that **** and his crew did a great job.Customer Answer

Complaint: 23057367
I am rejecting this response because:
While ****, the installer, did a great job every time he came out to install cabinets, the cabinets he was installing were of poor quality. Yes I signed off on the work **** did on January 29. This was the final time **** came out. However every other time , beginning in early October, when **** came out to install cabinets, we didnt sign off on the job. Instead we had to file a claim with you (Cabinets To Go) because of the poor quality of the cabinets I received from you.
**** came out to install October 2, and did a great job. However we filed a claim on October 3 because the cabinets were of poor quality. **** again came out on October 28 to install cabinets that were replacing the damaged ones, and another claim was filed October 31 because, again cabinets were of poor quality. **** again came out December 3 to replace damaged cabinets. A claim was filed on December 4 because, again, the cabinets he was installing arrived damaged. On January 17, **** again came out to replace cabinets that had arrived damaged. A claim was filed that same day because the new cabinet he installed had arrived chipped and damaged. On January 24, I was notified the replacement cabinet had arrived at the **************** store. I drove out to check it so that if it was damaged, **** wouldnt have to install another damaged cabinet. (This was Mikes idea since he knew so many cabinets had arrived damaged.) This cabinet was also damaged but *******, one of the design team members at the store, said the cabinet could be installed so that the damaged part would be hidden. She also wrote an email to Cabinets To Go, asking you to reach out to me because the cabinets we were receiving were of port quality. This is one of the documents I attached in my original complaint. **** came out to install the damaged cabinet soon after.**** said multiple times that I should be getting compensated for the cabinets I received. I filed claims with Mikes encouragement to do every time he came out to install cabinets.
The result of each claim we filed was that you sent replacement cabinets. Even though they arrived damaged, the fact that you replaced cabinets time after time implies that you (Cabinets To Go) agreed the cabinets were of such poor quality that you needed to provide replacements.
on January 30, you emailed a letter stating, We apologize for the issues with your initial order, and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Unfortunately your letter fails to acknowledge all every other time we received cabinets that were chipped, warped, scraped, or damaged in some other ways. Your cabinets are of such poor quality. I am truly sorry we decided to work with you.
Sincerely,
****** *********Business Response

Original quote was ****** dollars. We have paid about ****** at this point. Our customer service representative ordered the wrong countertops and now we're stuck with them. Even though we handed him the sample. We asked for mystic gold and we're given mystic pearl. Unfortunately when we signed the contract we didn't know he had put the wrong name down. He mismeasured and forgot the backsplash resulting in 5000 in extra charges. Our contractor ran our mailbox over and took 4 weeks to kinda fix it. That's after he drug his feet and worked on other jobs and took 4 weeks to install our cabinets. We are still waiting on a new door, 2 new knobs, and a new upper cabinet that came damaged. The countertops clash with our floor now. Even though we showed ***** our flooring and he helped us pick the countertop he wrote it down wrong. Now my countertops look like garbage because the angle is cut wrong. It's a mess. Im exhausted and broke. I wouldn't use them again ever. They don't answer calls or return calls.Business Response

I began a kitchen remodel on 10/22/24 with Cabinets to Go in ************, **, but as of 12/4, my kitchen remains unusable, with no countertops installed. Because of the recent delay caused by the company mishandling my paperwork, I had to cancel Thanksgiving plans because of no sink, counters, plumbing, or gas in the kitchen. I was informed that selecting a new counter design on 11/18 would expedite the process to be complete before Thanksgiving, but the remodel is still incomplete. After requesting to change back to the original counter design, the new sales order is higher, with no discounts applied than the original sales order. I've expressed dissatisfaction to both the salesman and the manager without upper management resolution. I'm seeking an expedited process, credit/discount pricing, and contact with upper management. If not addressed, I plan to pursue legal action and share my experience publicly.Business Response

On 11/2/2024 I ordered a cabinet project from merchant at $4,438.17. One 11/8/2023 the cabinet order was delivered to my home. On 11/9/2024 a professional cabinet installer contracted with Cabinets to Go started the installation of the cabinets. The installation could not be completed because both side panels of the smallest base cabinet had damaged corners. The installer took pictures and sent them to Cabinets to Go customer care. Case #**********: ST *** ********** ****** ****** SO91823237-The corner sides of the base 12 are bent and torn. I received an email confirmation on 11/11/2024 that the replacement parts were ordered. On 11/21/2024 I texted the installer to see if they heard anything about the replacement cabinet pieces. They said they would check with the store. I called the Cabinet to Go customer care line the same day and all they could tell me was the pieces were back order and they would escalate. I called the local store on 11/22/2024 and was told my sales person would be told to call me. The sales person called me on 11/23/2024 and said he would investigate the problem on Monday 11/25/2024. I did not hear anything from the sales person, so I called him today 11/26/2024 and he said they were back order. I am not sure at this point if this project will ever be complete and would like to see a resolution.Business Response

We purchased cabinets from our local Cabinets to go store in ***********, ** to find that they came damaged. Every box we opened had some sort of damage (warped boards, paint peeling, defects in the paint, etc) so we called the store and the salesperson told us to take pictures, install them anyway so we can get the sink ordered and countertop measured; in the meantime, put in a request to the corporate office for replacements. While we were installing the salesperson mentioned that we should not tell the corporate office that we installed them already because they wouldn't ask for them back anyway - we were not going to lie to anyone. When we called and complained that we received damaged items and should not be charged full price for scratch and dent, they responded that the terms and conditions stated that we voided our warranty by installing them - even though their company representative told us to do so. We now have damaged cabinets installed and no warranty. They should not be allowed to sell cabinets in this condition and not stand behind their product. We are going to dispute the charge at the financing level and if we have to, go to small claims court for at least half of the cost. We would have settled with them if they reduced the cost to scratch and dent quality cabinets - which would have been fair.Business Response

I spoke with this customer yesterday and advised him our terms and conditions state not to install damaged products, installation is deemed accepted. We did not tell the customer his warranty was voided. We offered to replace the damaged parts on 8/12 but he customer refused and requested compensation. We do not compensate for warranty issues. Our warranty states our sole obligation is to repair or replace any non-conforming component.
