We have attempted to work with you and all promise to make payments have been broken. The building was suppose to be in the form of a play house for my granddaughter when it arrived to me it had doors with locks on it and the keys did not even work to half of them, which i was promised that the house would have windows that she could see out of. was advised that they would send someone to fix the house and no one came, then they told me to catch my payments up and then they would send someone which i paid over $500 dollars and they still didn't send anyone. This company is a rip off and one of their customer service clerks is very Rude and have no empathy. Also I bought the building for like **** dollars and my balance keep going up, even though I have missed payments I'm trying to figure out why I'm paying more than the building originally cost.Business Response

I have attached the contract for review. This account is currently *************************************************** regards to the repairs, the customer was made aware that the windows in a playhouse would not be an option as this is a code violation in a playhouse due to safety concerns. The building order placed is also within the contract.
Customer was contacted in March regarding payments and she advised her hours had been cut. There was a payment arrangement made to catch her up. The customer broke those arrangements in April. We continued to work with the customer and then payments stopped in July.
The contract also clearly states the building is on a Rent To Own contract with the payment per month listed and the total contract amount with the customer signature. The customer signed that she understood the contract.
We have tried to resolve the issues with the customer and work out payment arrangements, however, the customer has never held to the commitments. The building is now in repossession status.

This is not true I was never told that the wi does could not be replaced. I was told that my account had to be current , on 2 different occasions I paid over 500 dollars and they still did not send anyone to look at the building and the wood windows they have on it to me is more of a hazard . They have locks that keys go to and half the keys they sent dont even open the windows thats a hazard bc my grandchild could have suffocated in there . And o explained to them when the last payment in July was made I had surgery on June and just went back to work mid September. This company is just a rip off and they have very poor customer service they are very rude.Customer Answer

I began renting a shed through Ez Portable Buildings aka TruWorth. I own a shed I bought from Cook which I had used the payment option to build my credit- so I decided to try this one for my next shed. The price was insane, they have no online portal, it's ridiculous. They finally called me 1/2023- I told the lady I was at work to come get the shed. I don't want it anymore. Imagine my shock when tonight I come home from work & I see two guys have repoed not only my shed, but also cut the lock on my fence in my backyard, tore up my backyard ground, damaged the fence along side my property, took the camera that's inside the shed & even took my chickens eggs (which is whatever they've been out there for months- I hope they get sick.)If they had rang my RING doorbell I'd have gladly had someone at my home let them in. Instead, they chose to cut a lock on my fence which is illegal without a warrant (ive found out), then damage property. I want my camera back. I also want a resolution to my damaged fence, cut lock & torn up yard.Business Response

The rent to own contract began in September 2022. Customer made regular payments with no communication on account until March 13, 2023 asking us to come get the building. This repossession did not take place until 4/7/2023. Customer are also given 10 days to get personal items out of buildings after repossession. This provided the customer with more than 2 weeks to get personal items out of the building before it was picked up and another 10 days after pick up. The customer was given plenty of time to get her personal items. The notes from the account are also attached to show the events that occurred.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the company does not notify customers that they have time to get their things out after 10 days. Also, it was not repossessed- I gave the shed back because they are overpriced which I told the representative. Not once did they give me a date they were coming. I reached out via email before & after they came. Was never given a date. The evening they took the shed, I emailed them to notify them of the items they took in the shed- no reply back except a payment reminder. They took my items, & there was no note, no email reply, no nothing after the fact to notify me I was able to get my belongings from them.

This was a voluntary repossession. On page 5 of the contract, line 12 states that "****** agrees to promptly remove all of ******'s personal belongings and property at the termination of this agreement". The renter had ample time to remove personal items out of the building. This was not a surprise to the customer as she was the one that terminated the agreement and should have had all personal belonging removed prior to pick up. Truworth was given notice on 3/13/2023. The building was not picked up until 4/7/2023. This provided 25 days for the customer to removed all items from the building, and with requesting the pick up, the customer knew the building would be retrieved. 25 days is ample time to get any personal affects from the building. I was sent a message offering to help defer payments due to the hurricanes. I talked to a lady name **** she said they won't allow me to defer a payment. After I was in a second hurricane that was just a couple weeks later I told her I'm unable to pay the payment due to all the damage done to my home and on the outside of my property it's damaged several other things. She raised her voice to me and she told me that was alive there's a lot of people out there still paying their bills even after the hurricane she has not been to view my property she doesn't know the damage that I had I had ankle-deep water in my home and was still waiting for the insurance company to come and famous still has that cane on the 1st hurricane not counting the 2nd be ashamed of herself Trying to say that other people are paying their bills and that I should too when she doesn't know my damage could be a lot worse than what they has not been to my property to view it. Had to borrow money to pay it. She refused to tell me who the manager or owner is. They have alot of complaints on line about them. They treat people like they are trash . I send you several messages A-day if you are only 6 days behind on your payment and they threatened to come pick your shed up over & over only 6 days behind This is a very shameful company.Business Response

The companies does does not detail the interest rate in detail. First started when I received a letter in the mail stating I was charge the wrong sales tax and my bill would go up. The company did not telll me what I paid in sales tax or what they were charging but looking on my original contract it was the amount that was correct for my area. Also when I called to ask about my pay off I asked what the interest rate was. The rep told me 55% of my payment goes to the rental company and not once in the contract did it mention if I paid $100 the company would keep $55 as their fee. My plan was to pay a 10k building off in 3months, my first payment was 3k, $660, $4k and when I called to make my finally payment I was thinking I owed a 3k or a little over but was told I owed ******* due to interest and rental fees being 55%. Again I do not think its legal for the company to have such a high fee that is not listed not once in the contract. I asked the rep over the phone about it he placed me on hold and somehow hung up the phone. I called back got a second lady and asked her to show me where it said that in my contract she could not find it and her only apology was sorry its a rent to own program but that still does not explain when they told me or when I agreed to such a ridiculous fee. In 3 months they have charge me 3k in interest. If I would have know that I would have paid the minimum amount only and paid the building off in one lump sum at the end or never purchased the building from this company.Business Response

I apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the Rent to Own program rate. After reviewing your contract, I can help guide you to the appropriate information that you are looking for. Under WITNESSETH, number 2, letter d, you can gain clarity on the term of ownership. The contract selected was for 60 months with a monthly payment of $323.28. Letter f, reflects the monthly payment that you will be making. If you calculate your monthly payment by 60 months, you will find the total that you will pay after interest is applied. Again, following letter f, you will find the rent rate by percentage and the total written out that you will have paid at the end of the contract. I do apologize that this was not made clear to you, and we will work to make sure that our dealers are advising their customers to read the entirety of their contracts before signing the contract. I am rejecting this response because:it does not clearly stated 55% of what is paid will go to interest. I paid multiple times and large amounts and hardly anything went towards interest. This is worst than a credit card or even a loan. You charge take and interest on each payment. If I paid twice within a month I was still charge a large amount of interest: it still does not add up and the contract is not clear. And your representative in office could not even explain where the numbers were coming from. You need to rewrite your contracts and train your dealers and customer and the dealer stated if I paid it off in the time period it would not have been as much. No way what so ever should I have been charge 3k in interests over 3 months for a 10k building. Thats $1000 a month basically
