      I am submitting this complaint regarding a parking citation I received from SP+ (SPPLUS) Parking on 5/28/2025 11:02:07 AM. I paid the meter using the ** code displayed at the parking location and have proof of payment. Despite this, I was issued a citation in error.The SP+ website states that violations can be disputed online, but when I attempted to do so, the system informed me that this particular violation cannot be contested. Moreover, there is no clear method to contact SP+ directly to resolve the issue, leaving me with no recourse.Given that I paid as required and have evidence of doing so, I am requesting assistance from the BBB in having this erroneous citation voided and ensuring SP+ provides a transparent and accessible dispute process.

      I received on May 2sd a letter from ********* Parking stating that I didn't pay the Parking in ********* and requesting $50 before 7/15, or $60 after 5/19, or $75 after 7/15 or $130 thereafter. The citation number ******** was issued on 4/15. I emailed the parking costumer service using an address that I found online. I told them that 4/15 is a week day and I could not have been in ********* as I work and live in ************. I received an email today saying that I had parked on 3/29 which is a Saturday and that was true. What is also true is that the barrier was open that day at entrance and exit. Therefore, I don't see what I could have paid, and according to what timing and what ticket. This looks like a fraud to me and I request the charges to be dropped. Thanks

      She did reduce the amount of the violation to the cost of parking and he agreed to it with her verbally.

      On April 12, 2025 I was chaperoning prom in uptown *********. I follow the directions provided to me to validate my parking. Due to an error in their system, after completing all the correct steps (twice, as we tried a second time with the venue's staff), I ended up paying twice without the option to validate. **** ****** (employee of **********, the company that owns the Fillmore which is the venue we were using) spoke with ***** ****** of SP+ Parking to confirm that I was charged in error and that a refund would be issued. Since then, we have been going back and forth with no refund in sight.       Checked into the parking garage for the hotel the Strat, I had booked in ********* and when I drove to the parking garage I was told it would be free for our stay and if we extended then we would be charged $40.99 and that was confirmed on their website when I put in my information. After checking out, leaving and driving all the way home I was charged the one extra day of $40.99 despite checking out from the parking garage on the agreed day of May 4th.I reached out to manager and was told the charges were valid and would not be removing them and that I must have been told incorrect information. If I was told I wouldn't be charged, even if that's incorrect I shouldn't be charged. Please help get my $40.99 back

      I reached out to the location, they have already communicated with this ****** of the rates and she was charged properly. There is a 15 min ***** period only. This is the communication and I have advised the ****** of the same. The rate for non Nevada residence is $20.00 per day, she parked for 2 days total $40.99.

      Our standard rate is $20 per 24-hour period for all guests, including hotel guests, unless they have a valid Nevada state ID or Nevada license plates. Complimentary ********************** is exclusively for those with Nevada identification or plates. We do not offer parking at a $0.00 rate at all, the only thing we have is a 15 minute ***** period, so any longer than 15 minutes you pay the standard rate of $20.
      Given the 43-hour duration of your parking from May 2nd to May 4th, the $40.99 charge is indeed consistent with our daily parking rate.

      When I pulled into the parking garage I was given a card with a ** code and told that with the code the stay until a certain time May 4th would be free. The parking at this facility is not free for out of state hotel guests, the standard rate is $20 per 24-hour period for all guests, including hotel guests. If you have something from the hotel stating differently please advise. 


      When you scan the ** code and enter the information it does not show the amount until you exit due to you may exit earlier or later, the exit time is what the rate is based on.

      I requested an appeal for notice # ******, but so far have no response. Im a new employee in the building located on 112th in ******** and in the past, there have been times that the arm opened automatically without requesting validation so I wasnt sure whether it would open or not.When I saw that the arm wouldnt open, I motioned for the man behind me to back up so that i could back up and park and go back for validation, but he only backed up a short distance and wouldnt move any further. I kept waiting and he wouldnt move, I was blocked in. I couldnt go forward because the booth is there, and i couldnt go backwards any further. Had I tried to back up past the man behind me i would have scratched up my vehicle. So i pulled as close to the wall as i could and left my car there and walked quickly to get validation. I did not see any sign that said no parking, however i was blocked in and there was nowhere to go. When i got back and saw the ticket, the security officer said the office is right here, you could have talked to us, but when i first started in the building back in April i talked to them and was told i had to get validation if the arm doesnt open, so i knew that i had to go back for validation. There are no signs that give direction on what to do if this situation arises and there is no other area to move your vehicle if this happens. I feel that at minimum, this should have been a warning with instructions provided on what to do in the future if this happens, but not a ticket, because I attempted to use every other option available to find a solution.

      Hi, I received notice on May 7th that the business has responded. However, there is a problem-- I can not accept or reject the response until I know their stance. The business only responded that they will reach out to another member of their team. They said nothing more. So I can neither accept or reject the response, I would need to wait and see what their position is. In the meantime, I ask that the complaint not be closed due to me not accepting or rejecting the response.

      I did get a response from the local manager:

      This event occurred just a few days ago, and the customer was ticketed due to their blocking an entire exit lane, and leaving their vehicle abandoned for quite some time (more than 5 minutes) while other customers were unable to utilize the exit lane for the duration.  The Parking Office is less than 50 feet from where the customer abandoned their vehicle, and the manager was in the office at the time.  No horn was sounded for assistance, and no person came to the parking office to seek assistance.  

      The violation has also been voided as a warning.  No basis for the complaint remains in place for this incident as the ticket was voided when the appeal was received via our violations department.

      I would like to be very respectful to the responding business, however I am telling the truth when I say that I was not blocking the entire exit lane. My vehicle was pulled all the way to the side of the wall and other vehicles could pass. Also, i cannot agree that it was more than 5 minutes. I walked briskly straight to the 5th floor to get validated and straight back without making any stops. In addition to this, I was completely blocked in and had no where else that i could go. I was also in a hurry because i couldnt be away from my desk too long and have a conversation with the security guard about the matter.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that, besides my comments above, this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      This is predatory parking platform. I was issued several tickets after paying for time on meter. The parking attendants are unqualified and predatory. This is a third party software platform for city of *******. They are known in the neighborhood as a nuisance and poorly run business.       On February 16, 2025 I parked at *****************. On my return trip I paid the for the parking at the kiosk by the elevator. I would not have been permitted to leave the garage without validating my parking. The exit arm will not allow you to exit unless payment/validation os made. I feel as though this outside company from another state is scamming people with threatning invoices/statements stating that "VIOLATOR'S VEHICLES ARE SUBJECT TO BOOTING/TOWING". NO notices were sent prior to the aggressive invoice sent with the above threatening remarks and to top it off a $51.00 interest charge. Companies like this need to stopped it their tracks. Not surprising there are so many complaints filed against them

      On 2/1/25 we went to an event that we prepaid for parking and have a printed copy of receipt. Dispute Reason:We paid for parking pass and attendant told us where to park looked at our pass and didnt instruct to do anything else. Now we have a ticket and need to dispute They charged us $75 and told us we would be informed within 45 days and its been 45 days and no response. We do not want this to get turned to collections.       On February 16 2025 around 9 am I parked at the garage for ********** in ********** for an schedule train ride for 9:24am. As soon as I parked I scanned the code to pay for parking and the phone did not connect to the payment app, I tried to text the number and got a link to the same blank screen, I supposed the site was down. See pictures of the screenshots attached. I thought i may get a bill in the mail and forgot about it. On March 10 I got a Parking Notice asking for an additional $51 ticket amount. while your system is down you systematically charge tickets, that seems like a scam, as there are no other ways to contact and on top of that the notice notes "to pay or appeal" and when you get on the site it states not eligible for appeal. There are no phone numbers or ways to contact. I think the only way is through the BBB Please help

      On January 16, 2025, I used a parking garage regulated by SP Plus. Upon exit, I received an email receipt at 5:47 PM showing billing details, purchase date, total ($16.99), payment method, and garage address.Two days later, the $16.99 charge appeared on my bank statement, confirming payment. However, on January 27, 2025, I received a letter stating I had a parking violation at the same garage at 4:09 PM for "not paid." The notice demanded $67.99, despite my receipt and bank statement proving otherwise.On February 19, 2025, I disputed violation #**************** via email, attaching my receipt and proof of payment. ******* responded with an automated reply. On February 24, 2025, they stated the location manager would contact me within 48 hours and to follow up if I didnt hear back.I never received a response. Assuming it was resolved, I didnt follow up. Then, on February 27, 2025, I received a debt collection letter from ********** ****** **************** LLP attempting to collect $67.99 on behalf of ********This is completely unwarranted and unacceptable. I have clear evidence of payment, yet ******* failed to resolve the dispute and escalated a baseless violation to collections. This companys practices are deceptive and predatory, as many others have faced similar issues.On March 11, 2025, I responded again to ** ***** last email, resending my receipt and a redacted bank statement. It is outrageous that this issue has escalated to a debt collection agency despite clear proof that I paid the parking fee.I demand that SP Plus:*Dismiss the invalid violation and debt collection claim.*Issue written confirmation that my account is cleared.*Ensure no negative credit impact due to their error.This situation is unacceptable, and SP Plus must take accountability for its poor business practices.
