      ********** Apartments Aiken South Carolina
I was notified yesterday that this is the new management over my apartments and because my lease ends on August 31st I must vacate by October 1st. This is devastating news and a very difficult position to suddenly be placed in. I went and spoke with a lady and a gentleman at the *********** apartments to explain that my original lease began July 1 2017. The representative stated that anyone with a lease after August 1st MUST VACATE and there is no other alternatives for me. The lady was polite and apologized but the gentleman was very nonchalant and stated that there was nothing he could do and no one else for me to contact other than him as he was the representative. I am not being offered another apartment or any explanation other than some residents simply have to leave in order to renovate. It seems as if the company and management are not sympathetic or understanding the predicament that I am suddenly placed in. I feel that some sort of moving assistance or living accommodations should be offered as 60 days is simply too soon without prior notice. I still have to pay rent for the next 60 days, find a new home, pay 1st and last month's rent and deposit plus move in. Actually less than 60 days! This is very unprofessional and ridiculous to say the least. I plan on seeking legal help and contacting the media as this is an unacceptable position to be in.

Apple Villa Apartments (Blountville, TN), the worst place in America to live. A neighbor flooded my bathroom in April of 2020 and the bathroom was still not repaired when I moved out in September of 2021. My water heater was checked by the maintenance staff and a couple days later, almost caught on fire. Neighbors smoking (tobacco and/or illegal drugs) made me miserable for the last 6 months I lived there, with little to no help from management. The manager told me that the person that lived in the apartment before I did was a heavy smoker, but the apartment was not painted before I moved in. Another building (A) in the complex sustained siding damage from a wind storm in February of 2020 and still was not repaired as of September 2021. I can only imagine how much rain water made entry into the building. I filed a complaint with the Knoxville BBB office in November of 2021, but I was told that I should instead contact the Nashville office because that is where Brookside Properties is located.

********, we appreciate your reaching out to us through this medium. Having reviewed our internal information we'd like to clarify some of these incidents and repair any break downs in communication. Your apartment home was never flooded - there was a leak in the upstairs home which resulted in a ring on the ceiling of your unit, but there was no water flowing into or filling up in your bathroom. We do have a record of repairing your water heater when you reported a burning smell. We identified the source of the issue as faulty wiring and it was immediately repaired. There was no fire. As to your neighbors, we visited your unit several times to check for tobacco smells and could not smell anything inside your home. We do not share or keep behavioral information on previous home owners. In reference to the damage from the storm in February 2020, the Vinyl Siding damage was repaired as soon as possible, long before September 2021. As you recall, February and March 2020 was an unprecedented time for all of us in Tennessee, and several vendors were fielding many calls. There was a slight delay in getting the panels fixed but it was not more than a few weeks. While we were sorry to issue a non-renewal at the end of your previous lease, we remain hopeful that you will be able to find a new home nearby that is better suited to your individual needs.

My bathroom ceiling was flooded. The boy that lived above me, put rags in their toilet and it overflowed. There were 3 or 4 pools of water in my ceiling. The maintenance man (Kenny) poked holes into each of those pools and it was collected into a bucket. A lot of water drained directly into my toilet. The issue here is that the ceiling was left like that for 17 months until I moved out. I am sure that mold was growing in the ceiling during that time. My water heater would have likely caught fire or at least produced toxic smoke if I have not cut off the power. I was within a few seconds of calling 911. The siding damage to Building A was there from February 2020 until I moved out in September 2021. It was easy to notice because it was close to the mailboxes at the apartment complex. Building supplies may have been in short supply because of COVID, but I believe a tarp could have been nailed on to cover the opening. I did receive a non-renewal notice, I guess because I complained too much (I had reason to compiain). I had no desire to remain at Apple Villa beyond the end of my lease. I did receive a text from the apartment manager on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 at 11:24 AM as follows:
Mr. ***** are you planning on moving by the end of the month or are you happy living here and want to renew? I want people to be happy. Please let me know today your intentions.

Would you be happy living at Apple Villa? And that is without discussing the second set of neighbors I had living above me that were using drugs.
