    I pre-ordered 2 comic books from Unknown Comics in June of 2023. According to the order, the books were to be shipped on or around February of 2024. I have yet to receive the books, now August of 2024, and have repeatedly reached out to customer service over the last few months asking for a refund or replacement, and Unknown Comics has only responded with 'we're working on it' or similar.

    What is the nature of the dispute? Unknown Comic Books only shipped one issue of the two I ordered.
    I have contacted the business multiple times via email - [email protected]. Unknown Comic Books replied by asking me for photos of the box the comic book(s) were shipped in, along with photos of the packing slip. The requested photos have been provided via email, but Unknown Comic Books has not responded since. I have attempted multiple times to call Unknown Comics @ (806) 290-1308

    Hi, I'm guessing this business, once they heard from you, finally responded to me in a big hurry.

    This business responded to my complaint by sending me the comic book issue that they originally claimed they had already sent me. No other communication (via email, phone call, or letter) has been received from them since the missing shippment has been delivered.

    This issue can be closed and I thank you for your support.

    On 8/15/23, I placed an order with Unknown Comics on their website. Order #****** which was a pre-order of the following: "WOLVERINE #37 [FALL] UNKNOWN COMICS ***** ******** ******** EXCLUSIVE [FULL VIRGIN] VAR CGC 9.8 BLUE LABEL" I paid $76.50 for the comic book, $8.65 for shipping. Months later, I noticed other sellers on eBay were listing for sale the comic book I ordered through Unknown Comic Books. On 3/7/24, I emailed a status inquiry and given an auto-response. A phone number (806) 290-1308 was provided, but the voicemail box was full. Trying to reach the online order support line and the retail store order helpline failed. Eventually, a Carol ***** ([email protected]) responded and gave me a request # *****. She wrote that their phone was having technical issues but my book should ship soon. 4/10/24 and I emailed again, and received an auto response email saying that someone would contact me within 72 hours. No one did. On 6/13/24, I emailed that I wanted a refund, since it had been 10 months since my initial order and no product. Once I was able to leave a voicemail on their phoneline but no one has called back.
    I want a refund and I want to discontinue business with Unknown Comic Books. My next step is to leave a **** review, then find someone to help me access social media to complain to this company for my money back.

    Order#****** on February 12th, 2024

    Ordered a comic book in February. The rest of the order shipped but I was told this book (*****) was from a different distributor and he was at a convention and would ship when he returned.
    Didn't ship, reached out again. Another convention. It's now June and l've sent 3 emails trying to resolve the unfulfilled order.
    This isn't a pre-order rather an item on hand so 0 excuse for 4 months delay. I warned in the final email about blocking payment and or reporting to BBB but no response. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is just uncalled for.

    Initial email March 22nd. Partially resolved as a different issue was taken care of.

    Second email April 12th. Got the response of second convention.

    Third email May 19th - No Response

    Fourth email June 5th - No Response

    Fifth/Final email June 7th - No Response

    June 14th - Help request with this message sent through shop app - No Response

    June 22nd - Filing BBB complaint

    Paid $15.05 + shipping

    I asked for a refund and haven’t received it but a refund or the book itself would be acceptable solutions. I understand unknown comics has long fulfillment timelines on many products but again, this being an “in stock” item, at this point it’s just theft.

    I purchased a book about a month ago that just released last week. When I received the book in the mail a few days ago, it was completely damaged. I’m talking numerous spine ticks and color breaks. Essentially, the condition of the book is a reader’s copy that has no chance of receiving a high grade.


    I emailed Unknown Comics a few days ago and have not received a response back. I called them multiple times throughout the day and they don’t answer their phone calls. I can not even leave a voicemail because their messages are full. There’s no way I can contact them and they are simply robbing me of my time and money.


    I would like to include that their Whatnot page does not allow their customers to message them regarding issues with damaged books or just general questions which is extremely frustrating!


    I simply just want a refund or even a replacement that has been properly inspected and can guarantee me a 9.6 or higher. Heck, it’s a BRAND NEW COMIC BOOK SO IT SHOULD BE A 9.6 OR HIGHER!

    In conclusion, I have never experienced this type of issue with a comic book shop before. Unknown Comics needs to have their LLC revoked and be removed from the comic community because they are in fact the opposite of how a comic book shop should be operated and they don’t treat their customers right.

    On July 29th, 2023, I placed an order for 2 books for a total of $143.29 (Order #******).It was an advance order and the books were released for sale on August 29th, 2023. One was a CGC Graded 9.8 issue which would release at a later date (They gave a date of March 27th, 2024). It is now May 18th, 2024 and I still have no books. I have tried phone calls, e-mail, and facebook messaging and they will not answer any correspondence.

    On April 10, 2023, I placed an online order with Unknown Comics which included a book, Amazing Spider-Man #6, 1:500 ***** ****** incentive variant, $400). As you'll see on the attached images, I paid for the order at that time. The item was in stock.

    In August, I contacted them about the order because it had not been sent (although the green font across the top of the order indicated it had been shipped and the order was listed as fulfilled). According to their website, the green notice only means the order had been sent to their shipping department.

    I was contacted by Meridith ******* and have multiple email conversations with them. They acknowledged the book had not been sent, and sent the rest of the order which had been held awaiting the ASM #6. Meridith said they were looking for the book, contacting their other store, etc. and would send it as soon as they had it. Since then I have opened two additional requests, engaged in text and email conversations, and requested a refund several times. Each conversation ended with something close to, "the owner knows and will hopefully take care of it this week."

    It's been almost a complete year since I ordered and paid for the book. I have expressed my frustration, opend two additional tickets for the problem on their website, and for the first time did not receive a reply to a message. I was unable to contact them via phone because thier numbers are currentlyt disconnected pending a move. Please, see the attached messages - I don't think these are all the messages, but this is all I could find.

    I recently filed a complaint against Unknown Comics because they failed to deliver a book I ordered ($400). Finally, after a year of trying and telling them I would file a complaint, they refunded the $400 and sent a couple of free books along with a short apology. While I'm still upset that it took almost a year of asking and being told "this week...next week...owner's working on it..." they have sent the refund and the check cleared. As far as I'm concerned, the matter is resolved. Thank you, ******* ******

    I had ordered a comic a long time ago, contacted them numerous times, and they have told me to keep waiting they are getting it back from another person, I have requested my money back, they have told me that thru policy is not returns, but how can someone keep my money, and have a policy where they don't provide me my good ro money doesn't seem just.

    Back in November, I ordered two "mystery bundles" from this retailer. According to item description on their website: ***********************************************************************************************************************************************

    "BUNDLE INCLUDES: ALL BOOKS ARE PULLED AT RANDOM AND ARE A MYSTERY"

    When I received the bundles, they both had the same item assortment (duplicated). I contacted the retailer to report the discrepancy and seek a refund, but they only offered to exchange 1 of the bundles for another "mystery bundle" and sent me a return label (see attached).

    I wasn't happy with that resolution, so I contacted them again to seek to refund in exchange for sending both bundles back carefully, to which they reply:

    "Hello again, I had my supervisors and the owner review the situation and they both confirmed what I've said. The product description clearly states they are books pulled at random- so they are not eligible for return/refund."

    However, with that being stated, I took it upon myself to use the original return label and carefully packaged up both contents for return, hoping for a refund since the contents were not as described.

    Please follow up with Unknown Comics to make sure I get a refund for returning their goods in good faith.

    Due to previously being misled with a recent order (complaint/scam will be submitted separately), I decided to cancel and seek a refund for items not shipped. Unknown Comics is refusing to address request and states that it is against their policy which only benefits the entity and not customers who have issues with orders. I wish to discontinue purchasing goods from this business due to their questionable treatment of customers. I am simply seeking to cancel orders not shipped and would like a refund.

    You were shown the description we also explained terms of service. We never approved you returning anything for a refund so that will not happen. You can now purchase a shipping label and we will now return your product back to you.

    the product was as described. We even went above and beyond to try and help you and you refused. So this mess is on you now.

    I placed an order for a $100 comic variant and they sent me a $4 comic. The $100 comic was a virgin 1:100 making it more rare and I won't be able to replace it.
    If they can't send me the actual comic I ordered, I would like a full refund.
