      My husband and I just bought our spec home in March 2022. The builder failed to disclose there was an electrical issue in the Bridlewood Reserves subdivision in *************. I found out after we moved in and noticed the flickering lights that other residents have the same issue. I've called the warranty rep ********************* and emailed her. No response. I also sent a message via DR Horton's website last week. No response. They're a nice group of people until there's a serious problem they need to fix. Very disappointing. Now I have a home with flickring lights. Hopefully this can be fixed by them. Not stopping until they do as this hurts my resale.***** is in warranty. Her response was for me to call ************************ to figure it out with them?? That's not a response. They failed to disclose this problem before we signed docs. Now there telling us its our problem. Not going to fly.

      We purchased a home from DR @ 565k in SC and closed on it in May. We have been in the house for over 70 days and are still waiting for all cosmetic items to be complete. The actual build of this house (structure) seems okay, but the paint (was told its more like a primer), caulk, uneven yard, stair railings, master shower, cabinets, French Doors, garage door, missing oak tree, unlevelled baseboards, missing door handles, drop zone chipped, and so on is incorrect. The paint and caulk job literally looks like a 10 year old did it, or completely missed it, no exaggeration. We have had people come in and fix some things, this the reason why the list isnt more like 30 things, but they end up doing a worse job and then creating more visits from other contractors to fix what they messed up. I have never in my life seen such a bad build (most expensive house in the division) and lack of actual follow through on timelines and promises made when trying to fix the already bad mess we moved into. We live near the model home and I have a feeling very soon that I will be placing signs in my yard warning future home buyers about the condition of the builds and welcome them through our house for verification. The NUMBER 1 home builder, you are not! And social media will also play a part in show casing this. Sincerely,Someone who was taken advantage of

      Craftsmanship is horrendous, they will not fix the problems. The brick on the exterior is not even close to being uniform. I have talked to customer service representative and nothing has been done in 5 months. The paint throughout the house has overlay paint and drippings all over baseboards and walls. I just want it to look like a new ho.e should.

      When I saw the sign for new homes and that it was DR ********************** I was excited. I went and took a look. I walked into the model home and knew that's what I wanted. Fast forward into moving in. 3 months in I had a leak around my back door. 5 months in I had a leak in my guest bathroom shower. 7 or 8 months in I had a leak in my master shower. I had a leak in my downstairs half bathroom as well. I had tried contacting the warranty department several times for maybe a week or more about my back door and yet no one called me back. I finally contacted corporate and the next day someone was out fixing my door. My ************************************************* and fix what wasn't working, or what was a problem, etc. They made it worse. The scraped over nail pops and didn't paint in back to original color. They didn't fix the squeaky floor upstairs because he claimed it said it was for the hallway only. I called the *** of my inspection and he told them to fix all of upstairs but they still wouldn't and didn't. They took down the tops of my blinds and the light fixture covers and didn't replace them. The fan in my guest bathroom won't stay in the ceiling. My garage never had a light in it. I've been waiting on screens for my windows for over 3 months now. I would NEVER recommend a DR ********************** house to anyone. They are just worried about the next subdivision they can build poor homes in. Maybe 30 yrs ago they had a good name but not today. I wished I had bought a different home for my first time home buying experience. I like my house but not in love because of the customer service I received, the lack of care for my money, and how quickly they built my subdivision to move on to the next.

      I am very disappointed in the service I have received from D. R. Horton since being under contract in February 2022. My realtor and I were in constant communication with the sales associate in Greenway Trails about the upgrades we wanted in our home, via email , phone and verbal . The sales associate assured us that the requested upgrades had been added to home for several months , telling us to check the configurations page to see it . I finally drove to the community and has another sales associate pull up our home contract and stated that the upgrades were never purchased or added to this home . The sales associate who made this mistake was abruptly taken off our file and now we are 35 days from closing and this company has moved us to a new sales associate and management is refusing to take ownership of their shortcomings and make the situation right . This new construction process has been a nightmare starting with spotty communication from sales associate, questionable practices with DHI lending (leaning towards discrimination) and overall resounding feel that they dont want to sell this home to my family .

      We have a 2021 DR ********************** Emerald Home and its the worst built home weve ever lived it. So many grout holes, poor craftsmanship, and were having terrible issues with bugs coming into the home through all the openings. I would never recommend DR **********************, even to my worst enemy. RUN from this builder.
