      Got last minute cancellation because they listing fake RV. Ruined my whole family vacation

Although we do everything possible to prevent cancellations, they sometimes happen, especially due to damage from a previous rental.       *************! After paying and reserving an RV months before our trip we received a message on Outdoorsys platform which is the only way to communicate that the owner cancelled the reservation 9 DAYS before our trip. Nothing from Outdoorsy. No customer service! Go with a dealer!

Additionally, we'd like to reassure you that we strongly discourage hosts from canceling their guests' bookings. A host's rating can be negatively impacted when this occurs, as well as a financial penalty being imposed.       No mention of fees you have to pay. I rented a trailer through Outdoorsy and they failed to provide ************************* without any fees. Here is What their website shows: (cut and paste from the website)24/7 Unlimited Roadside AssistanceWe'll be there if you need a tow or a jump start, lock your keys in your car, or get a flat tire or breakdown. We provide 24-hour emergency roadside assistance from a network of service providers, covering:TowingJump startsMobile tire assistanceLocksmith and lockout serviceDelivery of fuel and emergency fluidsMobile mechanic serviceThey should state after ************************ fees for service to be paid by the renter. They wanted me to do the work for them. They wanted me to find out how much it would cost to have the Mobile Mechanic to come out and fix the problem. Then they wanted me to pay for the Mobile Mechanic, then ask the host to refund the money. If the host refuses, then Outdoorsy will step in and help. Outdoorsy should send out the Mobile Mechanic to fix the problem and charge the host.

      zero-stars for this unhelpful and unreliable company. I really believe I was scammed by them. I rented a RV, paid 100% upfront per their policy, and received the confirmation of the rental; 7 days before my trip that was scheduled to a memorial day weekend, I received an email stating that the host (RV owner) canceled my booking. At that point, there was no other options nearby me or even within the budget fully paid. Now, let's talk about refund, the company asked 7 days to process the refund, but 7 days is exactly the time of the service and within those 7 days they charge the security deposit, meaning that I do not have a RV, I can't find a replacement within my area and my budget, I do not have my money back, and I still have the potential risk of a new major payment to cover a security deposit of something that was canceled unilaterally for them. All that I heard from their customer service was I am sorry, but I cannot do anything else to help you at this time. Terrible service, unreliable company, and likely scammers trying to make money holding up your money when they are legally and morally required to return it to you.

Regarding refunds, please allow me to clarify that guests have the option to select credits, so the funds are immediately available for a replacement booking.       Worst experience ever. Paid for the extra insurance for peace of mind, what a joke. The ** we rented broke down and Outdoorsy was wildly unhelpful. Left me and my family stranded on the side of the road 8 hours from home. Their help was to tell us to rent a car at our own expense to drive home. Didnt even call us back when they knew we were on the side of the road with our kids and dogs. Completely unacceptable. Would not use again. Id recommend not using Outdoorsy.

      ******** customer service and misleading possibly fraudulent cancellation policy. You basically give outdoorsy money for down payment on camper rental, pay for additional cancellation insurance, cancel within the policys stated terms and receive a small less than 5% of money returned. Do the math, look at the terms in the policy and it does not add up. Outdoorsy is a rip-off.

      Place to input photos before rental leaves doesnt show up consistently usually located where documents are that you print and fill out before rental leaves. Most of time place where you upload pictures isnt available does not appear. Outdoorsy, website when trying to file a claim for damages is terrible .When trying to enter data website goes down several times and then you have to start over.Keep getting 404 code when trying to input accident pictures. Input fields for all typed in information has about 3/16 in. Wide opening even in remarks ***************** placement area repeatedly get 404 error. After it times out you hav3 to start all over again ******* times before it finally ********* only have 2 days to file claim website says someone is t here on weekends but, no one is.Renter paid for insurance but, Outdoorsy says they must be declined by there personal insurance before filing with Roamly. I mentioned that didnt know that where is it in contract. Was. **** its on pages. 11 or 12 ( Something this important should be highlighted on front page of agreement?.$1500 deductible and renter. Must buy it to rent rv. This particular ****** has rented several times and has paid over $4,000 in insurance the past 3 years. Totally not a good situation!,,Foamy has declined payment due to pictures not place so I took pictures of the ones I took with my cell with my iPad showing with pre pickup date on pics. Only claim I have turned in .Least I got to vent!,,

      ***** this company. Do your research before submitting any reservations. I recommend speaking live to an agent and asking questions verses applying online for a rental. Ask about the ** verification process. The tiniest mistake can cost you.

      A company that is all about the hosts and not the customers. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They set it up so that customers are only allowed to leave good reviews; they do not allow you to leave reviews about the cancellations with no refunds.

Upon reviewing your account, it appears that your host has a "strict" cancellation policy for their listing which stipulates that no refund if the booking is canceled less than 14 days before the trip's start date. We apologize for any frustration it has caused you.       The worst customer service EVER. No help no call back and as far as I'm concerned there just as bad as the rv owners. We were scammed and this company offers no assistance, no vetting of their clients it's 1 800 scam

We always warn against communicating and transacting payments off-platform; hence, the multiple warning banners we display throughout the booking process to never communicate or pay using Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Western Union, wire transfer, or any other off-platform methods, and to report any instances of hosts requesting you to do so.
