If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. When I agreed to proceed with the testing, I was quoted a significantly lower cost around $250 than what I was ultimately billed: $750. Before making my decision, I confirmed the cost with both my OBGYN and my insurance provider. My doctor clearly stated, "It will be no more than $300," and my insurance representative told me, "Previous clients have paid no more than $280."With clear reassurance from two different sources, I moved forward with the test. So when I received a bill that was more than double what was quoted, I was shocked and incredibly frustrated.I called Nateras customer service team to get some clarity, but the experience only made things worse. The representative I spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful. He told me that the higher charge was my fault for going through insurance and that if I had opted to file without insurance, I would have only owed $250. When I asked if the bill could be adjusted retroactively to reflect that option, he told me I should have thought of that ahead of time.Rather than being offered a solution or even basic support, I was blamed and spoken down to. I refuse to accept responsibility for a situation that was never explained to me properly in the first place. How does it make any sense that using insurance which covered nothing somehow results in me owing more? This process feels dishonest, misleading, and exploitative. I expected transparency and professionalism, and instead I feel taken advantage of. I would appreciate a serious review of my billing, along with a proper explanation and resolution. This experience has left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. As a patient, I trusted that I was making an informed decision based on the information your company provided. The lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. We were quoted $250 by our OBGYN for the genetic screening for our baby. The results we got were completely inaccurate, saying we didn't have a high enough fetal faction for a gender result, and that there was an x chromosome abnormality that would result in Turners syndrome. After unnecessary stress and anxiety in an already high risk pregnancy, plus additional testing as a result of the false test results, I paid more money for unnecessary tests just to show that there is nothing wrong with my baby, it's a boy, and Turners Syndrome is impossible because of it. On top of it, they billed me $645 and refused to adjust the bill to match the quote from my doctor's office. I will never recommend this company to anyone and have told every pregnant friend and family member to ask if their offices use Natera before agreeing to any screenings. This company is fraudulent and preys on vulnerable pregnant women to get money from false results - STAY FAR AWAY

Part of the issue was our doctor we were using was incompetent and said our claim should be approved because of my family history of down syndrome. After I stopped seeing this doctor, he retired and it made everything so difficult. I have already paid ALL the installments for my bill that the insurance didnt pay. Then I get ANOTHER invoice in the mail after I paid it off already? This is such a scam company please if youre pregnant DO NOT use this company. Even if your doctor says itll be covered I wouldnt use them because insurances will turn back and say its not necessary testing based on their doctors on board.

This company is the most fraudulent and threatening company I have ever dealt with. I am super disappointed in my OBGYN for suggesting the need for the cancer screening and using this company. They definitely need to use a reputable company. So my doctor recommended cancer screening as my mother had cancer so I agreed. She told me my insurance would be billed. After they did the test, I get an email from Natera saying that most likely my test will not be covered by insurance and that I can pay them now $249 or I can have them bill my insurance company and if they dont cover at 100%, then the cost will be much higher and said this offer is only good until the 31st. This is the most threatening email I have ever received. Why can I pay $250 now or pay much more later? I looked up this company and found other reviews that said the same thing and they made them bill insurance and then their bill, after insurance paid part was between $1500-$5000! What a scam! The medical industry needs to be regulated because this is not right! This company is not ethical, they lack quality control, and they threaten people. Do not accept a test from your doctor *** uses these people. Find your own lab with clear billing practices and a good reputation. Do not trust these people with your health.

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I had to complete the **** test which came back inconclusive. Disappointment number 1. Then I just received my bill from January and it is $1,200. I called to speak to billing and I asked for the Price Transparency Program. They refused to give me the information to participate. Disappointment number 2. Then, I reviewed my letter from my ************ and it clearly states I would either pay $249, $349, or $449 depending on the service. I explained that to the *** and was told there was nothing they could do? In this economy, who can afford this??? Totally unacceptable!!

They sent test kit quickly with easy to follow instructions. The return of the test was also easy. Received a call text, call, and email, not excessive but enough to make sure I didnt have questions and to make sure it was done in a timely manner.

Natera is a scam that makes their money by taking advantage of expecting parents via standard recommended lab testing. Charged over $26,000 for two blood tests.
