      Received a card to be activated with SS benefits on it. Tried for days to call, but only got a recording. Stating all workers busy, wait for next worker. I let it continue for over a hour, with no results. Tried online and mobile app. no results. Went to SS office, they can't help.

      I hated this company from day 1. They refuse to process my ACH transfer even though I did it over the phone, sent in the documents, and then had to resend the documents with a bank letter. I was told it would take 30 days to process. 3 months later still not processed. I sent in an inquiry asking for a status update. 1 week later still no response. They do everything they can to try to get you to pay their transfer fees every time you use it. I called customer service, they said its on file but they won't accept it a few months ago. I took the extra steps, and still nothing. I am being forced to use this company without choice for disability.

      These people have locked my card and have not unlocked it yet its been seven days and I cant pay my rent and electric bill I believe Im being discriminated against so if you have checking account that would be your best option is direct deposit straight to your bank account.??

      If I could give zero stars I would. In April I noticed fraudulent charges on my account. So I called and got a paper in the mail to fill out. After, I got a denial letter in mail saying I had previous charges like this on my account so they did not consider fraudulent. In the meantime, I was looking at previous months and found almost $1,400 in fraudulent charges dating back to October 2024. So I refiled the complaint and got a phone call denying my refund request because it was over ***************************************** April. I have submitted complaints to ****, ***, FTC and IC3. I refined the complaint again and got another letter saying I am denied due to 120 rule, even though I sent documentation that proves this is wrong. Missed a call today from them and can't wait til they call me back and deny my claim again. If nothing comes from all the steps I have taken, my last step is to seek help from Legal Aid. Imagine being on **** benefits and this happening. All I want is an investigation and up til now Direct Express has denied me that because they claim the 120 day rule (even though I reported it as soon as I became aware so it should lawfully be 60 says after it was discovered). I would not recommend this prepaid benefit card to anyone.

      Direct express has been the only means my 74 year old mom has had to get her social security , she has severe anxiety and hasnt left her apt in over 11 years , with that being said she also has never held a public job , doesnt have a driver license or photo ID.. in December 2024 her account was hacked into and over $1100 stolen, so I called to report it ( Im her daughter ) and they marked her account as fraud , we/ with my mom on the phone went back and forth and sent the only forms of ID SHE has to them and they would not release her money to her .. Direct express is still holding her money even after escalation department was contacted and I now have conservatorship for my mom( had to do this to even get her a bank account and get her off of that direct express card! Please help!!! Direct express has 6 months of my moms social security + the $1100 stolen and we need help getting her money !

      I have been trying to transfer money from my account to my bank and am having problems with US Direct Express verifying my account info. They have the information on file, but for some reason want to reverify everything (they say it's due to fraud) and they will not allow the funds to go to my bank. Trying to speak with someone in that department, I was on hold for over an hour to speak with someone who told me there was nothing they could do. Transfer to a supervisor, I have been on hold for another 45 ********** I write this review, I have been on a call for 1:54:00, still waiting on hold.They definitely do not have enough people working for help/support with technical issues, and when you do speak with someone they are not very helpful. I was actually told by one person helping me that they do not do transfers. Then why is there an option on the phone menu and website and app for transfer to bank?

      Worse company ever to deal with my card was use and I ask for a new card and the are my drivers license has expired and dose not expired till 8 5 *********************************************************************

      ******* is always great about sending an immediate refund on canceled items or returns. I never received my refund on my direct express card and they claimed ******* was the problem. Called ******* they showed me the time and date they refunded my money, so I called direct express and they said ******* never sent it. I told them the time and date they sent the money back to direct express and they said ******* never sent it. Direct express is nothing but crooks and steal our money that we need to live on.. They should be shut down because the must be trained to tell people that they never received any money or refund from vendors! One star is too much to give them, I would give them a negative 100 stars for taking my money! Theives!!

      This is the worst bank that any person could use especially for social security and disability they jus steal innocent people money over and over again lock your card and u can't even access anything or can ever speak to a live representative because of the high call volume I'm so ****** and my mom whole entire check has been taken this has happened more than once and it's so unfair these issues need to get resolved in a better manner I need something done because how u steal from these people that are on a fixed income just sad
