On the menu it clearly states a side salad can be added to ANY entree for 4.99 but if you choose the Ancho Salmon at ***** the salad is not available for 4.99 and costs the regular price of 5.89. False advertising.Business Response

On 10/26 we dined at Chilis, my granddaughter forgot her retainer at the table. Not 5 min. later we returned and asked the waitress if she could recover the retainers (wrapped in a pink wrapper). She went to the manager who said no, that the trash in the bin had already been dumped in the big trash cans. I filed a complaint with Chilis and received a call from ***. *** said he was in charge of the complaints and that he lives in ******, ******** saying that they would pay for the retainers. Mr. *** said he was going to have the store manager file the paperwork to get the retainers paid. He asked me how much they cost, and I told him $500.00 and that I would get him the invoice from the dental office. He said that he did not need this right now but eventually would need it. I have not received a call from the store manager and when I tried calling Mr. *** at *************) to check the status, he is no longer picking up the phone - I have left a couple of messages but have not heard back. Transaction Date is 11/1/24. I was overcharged, however I caught that error before I left the restaurant. I brought it to staff attention. She took the receipt to manager on duty. Then she brought back both receipts. When I checked my back withdrawals, the incorrect receipt was submitted instead of the corrected one. Once I realized the error, I went back to the restaurant, I showed the manager on duty both receipts. She looked at both receipts, then handed them back to me then said she would contact their finance department then call me the next day with the results. After I didn't hear from her, I tried several times to submit a complaint form on their website. Unfortunately, I never could get the form to submit. Then I called their customer service **********************. Both times that I called, I got voicemail stating the call could not be answered but I could go to their website to contact their office. I tried again to submit the form but was unsuccessful. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart to contact BBB with my complaint. Therefore, here is the completed form. Hopefully, the picture that I took of both receipts are legible. But just in case they are not, I decided to give you the following information. The server name is *****. My ticket number is *******. I was originally charged $50.01. But after the correction was made the total due $46.23. I realize the amount/overcharge due is small, but it's about principal, integrity and treating your customers right. Since this incident, I haven't been back to Chili's. I like their food but I refuse to support this restaurant when they don't care about their customers. Thank you.Business Response

In Dec 2023 last year Chili's locations in ****** had a promotion for gift cards: Buy $50, get $***** was a great deal, but with lack of transparency especially at the *********** location in ********: after purchase, buyers like ourselves discovered some of the cards could only be used once per visit, and others had stricter limitations that we (as general customers) were not made aware of at the time of buying. Customers were frustrated, and that ********************** location's manager was soon fired and replaced.We have been trying to use the gift cards this year at the *********** location in ********, ******, but since around Jan 2024, the restaurant staffs and managers have forbade us and all other customers from using them, claiming that their "systems are down and can't process gift cards." They've put up paper signs on the windows and doors saying "No chili's rewards, systems are down." They later this year removed the signs and resorted to just telling customers dining in or taking out that they won't accept gift cards and that cusomters can't redeem My Chili's Rewards, which they can at any other location. Yesterday we tried to pick up a burger and had to pay in cash to a staff who said "No, our scanners are only down today!" which is a complete lie. They even said that they could check the balance of the gift cards, but that they could not offer us use of them. This is rather absurd as the same system that is used to check gift card balance should be the same system used to process payments of them. Their systems haven't been down intermittently as they protest, but have been down every time we visited in 2024 (10+ times as we are regulars). This Chili's location, in particular, has rotated manager and manager after the 2023 gift card promotion fiasco, and seem to be performing damage control by restricting total use of Chili's rewards through duplicity and deceit, while essentially scamming customers out of their legitimate gift card use.Business Response

On 11/23/2024 i went to chilis for a dinner with my husband. And when it was time to pay my total was *****, i had enter a wrong amount for the tip of ******, making the total ****** , when i realized the mistake, i asked my server for the Manager who was ***** on this night , when ***** came to my table i explain to him what had happen and he told me not to worry he would delete my payment from the system and i would have to repay the payment of ***** on a different card. He told me that i didnt need to worry the refund will take 2-3 days and Ill have the ****** back in my account. When i called back today on 11/27/2024 a different manager told me that ***** did not refund my payment like he said , and he just deleted from the system and made me pay twice. The ** i spoke to today said its a difference between deleting and refunding and he should have refunded my money if i paid twice and he did not. I now have a charge of ****** which was suppose to be refunded and ***** which is what the payment is suppose to be. I should only have a payment of ***** to chilis , so not only was a lied too , ***** made me pay twice for a service when i was told it was delete and he committed a fraudulent act.Business Response

To go order from the ***********, wv location on 11/23/24 check #*****. I ordered ribs with no sauce but when I got the food home there was sauce on them and all the food was ice cold and they did not put my penaut butter pie in the bag either. Horrible order. Be advised my bad order at the ***********, west va location check # ***** still has not been refunded or replaced. Chilis said they refunded 4 dollars of my order but the order was 34 dollars so where is the rest of the refund? They say they cant refund the other 30 dollars because it was a gift card. Why is that my problem? Its my fault they messed up my order? Just re issue me another gift card then. Me and my husband visit ***** on September ******. I let my waitress know that I was allergic to the acidity in lemon and lime. She told me that she would let the chef know about my condition. After eating my food I had a very bad reaction to something in my food. The manager had to call a ambulance for to take me the hospital. I entered a contest/sweepstakes for a Chilis 3 for me and replied to a post on X (*******) per contest rules on or about October 10th. I was replied to by the official Chilis X account on October 22nd, saying I had won. I was told to DM them my full name and email. I did such the same day. I have since DMed and posted @Chilis multiple times over the last month, and never received the prize I was promised. I was messaged on X on November 4th, 11 days after I had messaged them the first time, that I needed to wait just a few more days. As of this writing, I STILL have not received the prize I am due per the sweepstakes rules. I am expecting my prize to be fulfilled, and more at this point. It is a violation of the *** to hold a sweepstakes/contest with no intentions of fulfilling the prize.Business Response

Unusable Gift Cards Issued by Chilis and Wrongly Prepared Pick Up Meal at Chilis In 2023, Chilis **************************** issued me three $5 gift cards (totaling $15) as compensation for missing items in a previous pick-up order. The cards explicitly state, Does not expire. On November 16, 2024, I attempted to use these gift cards for a pick-up order but was informed by the manager that they carried no balance. This experience was embarrassing and frustrating, especially as I relied on Chilis assurance regarding their validity.Despite this, I proceeded to pay for my order in full. Upon returning home, I discovered that the order was incorrect and disappointing. I had ordered a full rack of baby back ribs with honey chipotle sauce and two sides for $30. Instead, I received dry seasoned ribs with regular BBQ sauce poured over the dry seasoning. For a $30 meal, this is unacceptable and far below the quality I expect from Chilis.Given the repeated issues, lack of accountability, and the poor customer experience Ive endured, I am deeply dissatisfied with Chilis service and lack of ************** resolve this matter, I am requesting:1.Compensation for the Invalid Gift Cards: I request a replacement for the three $5 gift cards ($15 total) plus an additional $25 to account for the inconvenience and embarrassment caused by their invalidation.2.Full Refund and Additional Compensation: I request a full refund of $30 for the incorrect meal and the inconvenience of receiving substandard food after an already frustrating experience.3. Communication and fair acknowledgment of the repeated failures in service and an effort to restore my confidence in Chilis as a valued customer.
