Greyhound's mission statement states that the company is "dedicated to giving millions of customers a safe, comfortable, affordable and convenient way to travel" and it's the furthest from the truth. It is absolutely absurd that the AM buses are excessively late each day. Not only are they late, but there isn't a comprehensive or solution-based customer service team that could effectively assist passengers or drivers. Very often, passengers, including daily commuters who rely on Greyhound to travel to and from work, are left stranded without explanation, without apology, without alternatives. Greyhound does not communicate with its passengers despite having an app that features a bus tracker. Instead, passengers that are hopelessly waiting on buses that are late and those that never show up are not even offered the courtesy of being notified that the bus is late - making the feature useless. When purchasing a ticket for the bus, passengers are required to provide contact information including an email and telephone number. I'd this information is not used for notifying passengers of a change to their itinerary then what is the point of collecting this information? Is this a potential safety concern? Is the personal information that customers provide being sold? Furthermore, the outsourced customer service team does not have the capability of tracking a bus in real time, communicating with depots or drivers and cannot assist passengers that have purchased monthly passes via Greyhound Quicklink. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. This happens every single day on this bus route and is unfair, irresponsible, and unacceptable. At this very moment, it is 8:19 AM EST and I am standing in a parking lot that is currently being used as a Greyhound Station, with absolutely no signage or personnel, waiting for a bus that was scheduled to leave this "station" at 7:30 AM EST. (Schedule ******* The bus tracker on the greyhound.com shows no activity.
