********* contacted me and wanted me to switch to their credit card processing system under false pretenses. I allowed them to send me the equipment, stating I could refuse delivery if I changed my mind, but my worker did not realize was the package was and signed for it when it arrived. During that time and afterwards, I tried contacting Chellcom to get a better understanding of what they would be providing. They did not respond to my calls in a timely manner and the 14 day period to cancel the service elapsed. I got charged ($495) for ending the lease agreement early, even though I didn't use the equipment.Business Response

Chellecomm disputes that this customer was misled in any way. To the extent he wishes to seek a refund relating to the cancelation of his equipment lease, he should contact the equipment leasing company.Initial Complaint

I was contacted by stripe over some possible refunds for merchant services. At this time I did not have any devices that I was taking payments with and told them I needed a device but wanted one linked to my invoicing software. They told me they had such a device and would have someone from sales call me. When they did we discussed the purchase/lease of the device and all necessary fees. I asked them I know at least 5 or 6 times during the conversation what the cancellation fee would be if I decided to cancel. Every time they told me it was $295, not NO LESS THAN $295. So i spoke to the processing company then and got the information for the processing fee costs. They told me the processing fees would be .10 + 1.5%. When I look at my statement there are fees higher than that and not for **************** cards. Also, I am being charged for premium merchant portal access, a monthly software fee, and a monthly basic service fee. This company is very predatory with their fees. I have uploaded highlighted portions of my statements showing several arbitrary fees that they never mentioned. I have switched to a different processing company who is about $75 a month less and will be saving me about $100 a month in processing fees as well. This company (Chellecomm) needs to change their ways and stop taking advantage of new, small businesses.Business Response

I was sold a bill of goods. All lies so far. Received the call to send over current supplier information and was told that my total bill would not be over ****** and it is actually more than my previous supplier. Along with that I am now charged for the machine cost also for a monthly fee of ***** times 2 machines with extra charges on that as well. I am told that I am locked into a 4 year contract that I cannot get out of. Also told that it was not different companies that it was all inclusive and all just one company called ****************** Promises to call you back but still have not received a call after 2 weeks. Told not sure what the supervisor's name is. This is why credit card companies have such a bad name due to scammer companies like this. other names they go by are ( CLOVER , FINOVA CAPITOL, FDMS {FIRST DATA MERCHANT SERVICES}, AND PAYANYWHERE). Even worse the machines have not even function correctly since we received and the old machines we were told they would send call tags for them but continue to give excuses.Business Response

This company ********* uses deceptive practices, calling and saying that they were with my current processing provider and that my rates were to high. I should of known better when they needed me to email them a copy of a statement. Then I was told that if I didn't want to continue using the terminal I could cancel at anytime and all I would need to do is send the machine back. Now I find out I have to pay $295 to cancel. I was able to lower that from $750.Business Response

Chellecomm apologies for any confusion that was created during the call. While Chellecomm believes a termination fee is technically due, in the interests of resolution, Chellecomm is closing this merchants account and will not charge a cancellation fee.Initial Complaint

I started with Chellecomm about 9 months ago after a very misleading phone call from them, claiming that QuickBooks "worked" for them and they were doing an audit to get me money back along with a WAY better deal going forward. I was told to send over check stubs, etc. I was told there would be no extended contract. After docusigning the contract it never directed me to initial where the contract states an early termination fee will apply. SO I DID NOT INITIAL. After months of charging me monthly fees on top of fees, along with 4% directly from my clients cards I decided to cancel this mess. They then hit me with a $795 termination fee and claimed since I signed where terms and conditions apply I owe them this. No where in terms and conditions does it state this dollar amount. Not to mention they hid the terminology for termination fee amongst hundreds of words in the smallest print possible. This company is a scam and absolutely should be refunding my small business the $795. They are thriving on lies, and misleading business owners who don't fully understand the processing game. They are very pushy and will say anything to get you to sign before understanding. I also have been told what they are doing is not PCI compliant which puts all businesses at risk.Business Response

Chellecomm believes this merchant clearly knew it was switching processors. The merchant signed a 48 month lease with Exeutech in December of 2023. If it wants to seek an early termination of that agreement, it must contact Executech directly at **************.If it reaches an agreement with Executech, then Chellecomm is willing to discuss a possible reduction on the termination fee.Customer Answer
Date: 02/13/2025
I am rejecting this response because:
I did not switch processors, I simply stopped taking cards and wanted out of this scam. Chellecomm along side their partners were robbing me of funds. Never once did I get the better deals they promised, and as time went by I was seeing more and more how much money they were taking from me and my clients. All the promises made to me were LIES to **** me into signing contracts I DID NOT AGREE WITH.
I've had many conversations with EXECUTECH and they sold me off to FINOVA CAPITAL. So EXECUTECH accepts no responsibility for me or my business any longer. I have now paid a termination fee to ************** to get out of this 48 month lease I had with EXECUTECH. How confusing and wrong is that! This whole thing is a bait and switch mess! I absolutely believe CHELLECOMM owes me my termination fee back!

This was a legitimate sales call but we have agreed not to contact this consumer again. In addition, we are reviewing the way the call was handled to determine if additional training is needed for the individual involved.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I searched online, and there are multiple complaints about this company using these same deceptive and even fraudulent practices. The company always responds saying that this is and exception, that they will give the one employee who did this additional training, and that they will "review" their training procedures.
It's clear that these fraudulent practices are the companies standard operating procedures, and that their call center employees are trained to use these practices.
Other potential victims of this scam should have someplace to find a warning about this company.

Today, 2/23/24 I was contacted by *********** ************* and ************) stating that our credit card processing was over charged and we needed to pull up our December 2023 statement for the company. After asking several questions to the person on the other line, I quickly deduced that this was a fraud call and they were trying to obtain information about my merchant account. He could not tell me my merchant account number or anything. All he wanted was for me to give him personal company information. Not sure what his end goal was, but it was definitely fraudulent. Be careful people! We get calls like this all the time, they need to be reports. Oh, and to top it all off, after I politely told him that I did not believe he was with my credit card processing company and I was not going to give him any of the information that he was requesting, he called me "stupid" and that I deserved to be overcharged. Seriously, if that type of unprofessionalism doesn't scream fraud, I don't know what does. BBB please shut this scam down!Business Response

This was a legitimate sales call but it should have been handled differently. While the representative did not use the word stupid, he did not handle this call in a professional manner. The company is taking corrective steps and providing additional training to this employee going forward. We sincerely apologize for the way this was handled.Customer Answer
