      The sales person Marc Wheeler called me to offer his service so I ask him if they do SEO optimization on websites, he lied to me and told me that they will do SEO on my current website, after I've signed the contract he said he would have to move my website to their hosting company and build a new website which I told him on our first conversation that I didn't want to do that because I had a bad experience before with another company, so my business is already established and I don't need another website so I've asked him to cancel the contract and he said he can't do it and he transferred me to the cancelation department but they want me to pay for the entire contract so they can cancel even though it was their salesperson's mistake and I've never used any services and the reason why I didn't cancel before was because Marc Wheeler kept saying he was asking his superiors to open an exception and work on my website.
      So this is a very bad company or business, their salesperson will say yes for anything you ask so you can sign the contract and after that they don't care about anything, I don't like to give a bad review or complain on any business this is my second time in almost 50 years but I've tried to cancel innumerous times and I don't want other to fall for the same scam I did.
      So, after I realized the reason why they don't do SEO on existing websites hosted on other companies is so they will have you as a slave for the rest of your life or you lose your website with them and then will be too late because you don't have even your older website anymore.
      Such a shame to do business like Thryv.

      We have spoken with our client regarding their concerns about the advertising. A mutual settlement was agreed upon and a cancellation placed for the advertising going forward.

      the offer from them was to send me an e-mail saying they will cancel the contract with no penalties and documenting that my company will not owing them any balance but i've never received the e-mail and they are saying they can only cancel after 30 days and i want to happen now because they didnt want do anything for me before my BBB complaint and i feel that if i finish this case we will go back to stage "0" again.
      So i will only finish this case after they realy cancel my account and if the system only let them do it after 30 days i can only respond yes to finish this complaint after 30 days as well.

      We were able to speak with our client again regarding their concerns. It appears the email which we sent to the client previously went into their spam email and was not viewed. We we able to re-send the email and confirm it was received while we were speaking with our client. As stated previously this matter has been resolved and our client is now in receipt of the email.

      This company has been harassing me to pay an advertising bill for something that I never agreed to renew, they put in the wrong phone number, never sent me a proof. I never signed for any of this .

      We have reviewed these claims with the client and confirmed that the advertising was renewed and the monthly amount was agreed to per the client. The phone number published was also reviewed and in fact was the correct number displayed in the advertisement. However, given our client's history on the account, confusion over a free listing, and conflicting information online, we have resolved the matter to each our satisfaction.

      Thryv, formerly known as Dex, Had been providing advertising services for me for many years under account #XXXXXXXXX. Every year I received phone calls from a representative of their company going over my plan and agreeing to certain costs. For the last couple of years I have not received a call from a representative to review my account. When I realized that I was still being charged $92 monthly for something that I didn't agree to,I called, and a representative told me they had the right to automatically renew contracts without consulting me. I explained that I was no longer practicing at the address they had advertised in the Yellow Pages and if they had contacted me they would have known that. They also told me that my advertising is now going for 15 months instead of 12 months and that I would owe for the entire period of time. They agreed to discontinue the digital portion of my advertising in June but said I would still owe for the printed version. In my most recent conversation they agreed to reduce the printed portion by 50%. I find this to be unacceptable since I never agreed to any of it. I am seeking a complete refund of the $92 per month paid from February through the end of June and Removal of all $50 monthly charges for the printed version through the end of the 15 month period of the current Yellow Pages I understand to be in on April 30 of 2023.

      I have asked them to mail a check to refund the amount offered. The credit card they have on file is not valid any longer so cannot process a credit. I am awaiting their response.

      We have now asked our credit card company to transfer the balance from the Thryve account to our alternate credit card. They advise that it will take 3 to 5 business days for this transaction to be completed. In that regard, if that transaction takes place we will consider the matter resolved.

      We have been VERY displeased with the service we have gotten through this company and would like a refund on what we have paid. There has been LITTLE TO NO service on our account and we have been paying over $300 per month and nothing has been done. Also when we went to change our website to another company they are keeping our website and we have to pay to have it redesigned. NO ONE ever told us this when we signed up. This is OUR business NOT yours but yet you are keeping our content. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and we would like a FULL refund of what we have paid.

      We were able to speak with Jared and resolve his concerns. Our policy regarding intellectual property and ownership of website design was discussed and resolved. He also provided us with documentation of errors on the website and this was discussed and remedied as well to the mutual satisfaction of the client and our company.
