We agreed to have solar placed on our new house in October of 2023. The panels were completed in November of 2023. We were told that it takes about 3-4 weeks for the city to get the permits to connect us to the grid. 7 months later and we are still not connected to the grid. *** contacted the installer multiple times to only place the blame on the admin person that we are unable to contact.Initial Complaint

I got my solar panels installed January 2023, I noticed in February 2024 there is a leak coming from the ceiling in my guest bedroom, which is located right under my solar panels. I have been trying to reach out to American Sun Solar but the phone line is disconnected, and there has not been a response back from the service request I put in via their website. ******* is under warranty but I have no way of obtaining that information for them to fix, now I will have to replace a wall, and possibly some of the framing and who knows if I need to do anything to the outlet that sits close to where the water was leaking. The lack of accountability and complete disappearance of this company is frustrating and costly on our ends when they should have properly installed our solar panels in the first place!Initial Complaint

My grandparents and me got panels for their house. They were never finished connecting the panels. They kept pushing off the connection and still to this day has never finished anything. Then we found out that they the broker changed the owning of the house under my name to be able to get the loan and didnt explain that to either of us. This broker just mislead us completely and we want a refund or to get out of this loan.Initial Complaint

I am unable to contact American Sun Solar. They are not upholding their end of the contract and without being able to contact them I am unsure of what steps to take next. The sales associate assured me that the system I installed would cover my electric bill, but it does NOT. That being said, my main concern is that I cannot get the issues I currently have resolved (including a s**** through the ceiling in the loft) and the warranty company ******** (which was part of my deal) has terminated there relationship with American Sun Solar and all contract terms are now deferred to American Sun, whom I cannot get a hold of. If I have any additional issues during the term of the loan I will have no way to get them resolved either. I have called, emailed, gone through the chat, used the contact option through the website, and contacted the sales department, NO RESPONSE. In addition the tax credit information I was given was completely false! I have to pay back 30K in April and only got a small portion reduced on my taxes. The tax credit can not be paid out only used as a tax deduction on your itemized tax return and only applies towards one section of those taxes. Needless to say I still owed money on my taxes and have a tax credit sitting there I cant access. I am still expected to pay the full 30% towards my loan so my bill does not increase. American Sun has been deceptive through out the entire process and I am paying the same amount now if not a little more than I was paying for regular elecricity and if my bill goes up in April I will be paying a lot more a month than I was paying before. Sent Wrong Documents to convince No response at all from them They said they will give me the exact deal my neighbor got and sent the wrong document and convinced me to agree for the Solar installation. The service have been terrible and I did tried to reached out to ***** but He ignored my calls and email. after several complaints ,****** was sent and couldn't fix the problem.I have been out of solar for the past 3 months since 09/06/2023 and I kept paying the monthly bills to mosaic and sunlight the financial companies and my energy bills have increased tremendously.I need all my payments refunded and the contract should be cancel because I identified this as a big fraud. Issue 1: My Mother and I received solar on our separate homes. My sales representative forged my and my husband's deed (confirmed with the finance company) to have my mother as the only person on the loan at both residences. My husband and I should be on our residence, and my mother should be on hers. This has not been resolved after repeated follow-**** Issue 2: There was an overage in the loan request in the amount of $5000.00. The company had agreed to refund the amount directly to us via Zelle. This has not happened after repeated follow-**** Issue 3: The solar company agreed to have a tree cut down that was blocking the solar panels. After months of not having this done, they agreed to reimburse me if I had the work completed. I paid 300 to a vendor for this, and I have not been reimbursed after consistent follow-****Issue 4: On July 11th, my Solar representative ***************************** confirmed that he would have a new AC system installed in my residence as part of the deal, and at no cost to us. This has not been resolved after consistent follow-**** Issue 5: My mother's payment increased an additional 36 dollars per payment from the original amount that was confirmed on July 15th. On August 4th my sales rep confirmed he would reimburse my mother 432 dollars for this. This has yet to be resolved after consistent follow-**** I have texted my sales representative ***************************** countless times and spoken with and emailed ******************* at Solio Solar countless times seeking resolve with no assistance offered.
