Overhead garage door overcharges its customers. They charge almost 3xs what other companies charge to do the same type of work. This company charged me $800 to replace garage door springs. I have gotten 3 other quotes since they did the work and the other companies all charge between $250 to $385 for the same job. This company rips people off.

I called for a non-emergency garage door cable repair and customer service said they had a $50 service fee. The tech came out early and said "we do not do minor repairs." He said they only sell packages and the lowest was over $500 to replace a bracket on the bottom of the door, but they could not replace one bracket and would have to replace both and the cost would be another package upgrade to $799, plus said he would throw in the cables, which did not need replacing, just one side needed hooked back on the door. He called it a "crash door package." And I told him about customer service and he said "they are outsourced and do not know anything about what we do." Basically the guy spent 15 minutes looking at the door and I was asking if I needed to change the opener because the remote was nowhere to be found. He said they had universal remotes but it would be another service charge to bring one out. I wanted the seal replaced on the bottom and he said "We don't do that either and you can use nails or staples to reattach it or go somewhere else and buy another one." As far as the opener, he said "go to Lowes or ********** and buy a Genie." This place does not do repairs for a $50 service call. It is a sales call and they charge you $50 to try to sell you something you do not need. I called customer service as soon as he left and they said someone would call me back "real soon." I told them if they did not call me back within 1/2 hour I was going to report the charge as fraud to my bank. It has been 2 hours and they still have not called or texted so I am calling the bank to report this as fraud. Do not even call this company!

BEWARE!!!!!!! OGD Overhead Garage Door is a SCAM! They came to our house to fix garage door and installed safety eyes above the garage door opener. After seeing the tech installed them wrong, we asked the tech to come back and install them per the installation ************ wanted to charge us to come back and fix their mistake! Tech came back to house and removed the new safety eyes from above the garage door opener, but left the old ones AND now the garage door won't go up. We called and got hung up on!!! They also broke the tension rod! The tech was unprofessional and lacks experience!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

DO NOT USE OGD if you
think it's OK for their installed garage-door system to allow your garage door
to fall on your car. They are the rudest most disrespectful contractor I have
ever dealt with. It closed on my daughter’s car and caused over $1230.00 worth
of damage and was in the shop for 1 week.
I called the designated person to report this and the first words out of
T's mouth was "I don't take responsibility for a product that's not mine.",
after they installed the Chamberlain system. Not one "I'm sorry, is she
OK"? JUST "I DON"T CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY". I was THE ENEMY
from day 1.The Chamberlain system they installed  WAS NOT done correctly.
The tech that came out that day, took one look at the sensors, and said they
were too low. They were WELL below the 4-6" correct installation height,
that is per T at OGD. If they had been set at the correct height, the door
would NOT have fallen on the car-PERIOD. If you stand in front of the sensors,
and push CLOSE on the remote, the door doesn't move. If the senor would have
picked up the bottom of her car, the door wouldn't have come down. After 3 days,
I couldn't stand the disrespect of T anymore so I went to his boss, another T,
who said "well, the safety feature worked as the door bounced back
up". That “bounced back up” caused 1,230.00 worth of damage. A GARAGE DOOR
SHOULD NEVER FALL ON A CAR AS YOU'RE BACKING OUT OF THE GARAGE. the  He
jerked me around for 1 1/2 weeks, and told me to file a claim with Chamberlain.
I did, they replaced the machine, I sent it back to them for
"testing",  I asked how "testing" 4 months AFTER the
malfunction will show anything, I was assured the 'test' wouldn't be
"spoiled". The machine passed the tests. I just contacted OGD again,
and they denied the claim. SO, if you think it's OK for your garage door to
fall on your car, and the installer claims NO responsibility for their system,
use them, if not DO NOT USE THEM.

Don't call these guys! They use deceptive practices in their pricing and expect you pay them for services they did not perform on June 8, 2022.I am retired military and selected OGD Overhead Garage Door because they claimed to be veteran-owned on their ********* website. Wished that I had never call these guys. They fixed my garage door by replacing the photo sensors but they did a "bait and switch" move, charging me for additional services of $149 for a motor repair package, a service that they did not perform. I asked for a detailed invoice but was told that I would be emailed one. When I received the invoice I was surprised to see they had charged me for services that they did not perform. I called that same day and over the next three weeks, some 15 + calls requesting a call back to discuss the overcharges. After 13 calls, I did receive a call from *********************** who said he was the customer service manager. He was extremely antagonistic telling me that as a customer I could not question their pricing and did not have to agree to their pricing. I could not get him to quiet down and give me a chance to explain my problem, he just kept talking over my voice. He would not help me when I asked for his supervisor indicating that there was no one above him. Because of their questionable and deceptive practices, I would not recommend this company. Thankfully, there are plenty of other honest companies in the area to choose when you need garage door repair.
