      ****************,

Please provide the model and serial number of your unit along with the name of the dealership you are working with so we can investigate your concern.  We would also suggest that if you haven't already, please download a copy of the Kubota Limited Warranty from this link.

      *********************************************************************************

To summarize, the Kubota Limited Warranty is intended to cover defects in manufacturing or materials.  Customer's do have a responsibility for maintaining the equipment in according with the Operator's Manual for their machine.  The warranty does not cover things like abusive operation, neglected maintenance, improper lubricants or contaminated fuel.

      ****************,

Thank you for confirmation of the serial number and dealers involved.  Just to be clear, the serial number of your machine is *****************.  That digit in the middle is a Zero, not the letter O.

I did call Capital Tractor and spoke to the service department.  They confirmed your machine is in their shop and it does have debris in the fuel tank that's clogging up the supply to the engine and preventing it from running properly.  As I mentioned previously, the Kubota Limited Warranty specifically says that contaminated fuel is not covered by the Kubota warranty.  Each of our dealers is independently owned and operated so I cannot speak to what might have been said to you at the time of sale.  If you have concerns about what was said to you at the time of sale, I would suggest you speak to your selling dealership.

      Regards,

I Bought Kubota L4060 last year at devineys in ********** and started having fuel problems. Took it back thinking it was covered under warranty and ended up being charged ******, they said they found trash in fuel tank. I purchased a 2007 kubota L2800 new from Cook tractor in ********* **, and have been using the same fuel in both tractors, never had any fuel problems with L2800. I don't understand, and feel its an unfair charge and should be refunded.

On behalf of Kubota and the ******************************** we have reached to your servicing dealer ******* concerning your concerns with their diagnoses and repairs of your L4060 tractor. The unit originally came in for a NO START and after the diagnosis was complete ******* determined that the Fuel was the issue.

******* called the customer to advise and **************** was made aware of the issues. **************** wanted to know how and when the debris enter the system, however ******* wasn't able to explain how or when this happened but from the pictures you can clearly see the Fuel has water/dirt throughout the Fuel system.

******* explained what repairs needed to be done and the customer was not completely happy about that, but like ******* explained the customer can CHECK the Fuel/Water separator DAILY to mitigate this in the Future. Unfortunately, warranty doesn't cover the cost of fuel related issues under warranty. This would be the reason customer is responsible for the cost of the repairs.

******* is willing to call the customer and try to explain issues further and see if they can solve some unanswered questions.

      Sincerely

I am rejecting this response because: The man that called me sent me pictures of contaminated fuel he say was in tank, I explained to him that i dont know how this could have been in my tank unless someone purposely put it in, then i asked if i could file it under vandalism with my Kubota **** insurance, then he told me vandalism was not covered through this insurance, which was not true because i looked at policy and sent him proof that vandalism is covered.

Kubota's Limited Warranty is intended to cover defects in materials or manufacturing.  It does not cover contaminated fuel.  This machine was purchased in April 2022.  If there was debris in the tank from the factory, it would have presented itself much sooner than now.  In addition to the debris in the tank, the dealership found water in the fuel.

I have attached a PDF copy of the Kubota Limited Warranty Guide here.  Please see page 3 (page 5 of the **** for Kubota's statement regarding contaminated lubricants.

      Date: 12/08/2023

      ****************,

The dealership filed a claim with Kubota for the fuel pump, saying only that it wasn't working.  If the pump failed because of debris in the fuel system then the dealership should not have filed a claim and Kubota should not have paid for the pump.  I don't know the exact sequence of troubleshooting events at the dealership but they did not indicate on the claim why the pump wasn't working.  My guess would be that the debris caused the pump to fail and Kubota shouldn't have paid that portion of the repair.  However, at this point I'm not going to ask the warranty team to reopen and review that claim so that you are not left with an additional bill.  My assumption of the remaining bill with the dealership is that you paid to have the tank removed and cleaned and also to have the fuel lines cleaned to ensure that all of the debris had been removed from the system.  If you'd like confirmation of that, please check with your dealership.

      Regards,

Make a long story short this company refuse to talk to us because we do not have a estate affidavit. They went as far as taking a payment and putting it in the wrong account then claim we were 84 days late and repossessed the equipment. True fraud. Had the guy lie to us in order to get the equipment in his possession. Now they want us to pay more for the equipment then what the balance owed. Bad business!!! **************** is horrible!!!! On 8/9/23, Kubota sent out for a repossession on a lawn mower in my name. I had tried multiple times to log on to pay my account and the log in portal was always broken. That does not justify for me not making my payment but for a business to offer that as payment method and for the system not to work, thats not ok. Back to 8/9/23, I was coming home from my husbands grandmothers funeral when I pulled into my home and a man was pushing my lawnmower from my carport. There were no vehicles around my house and the lawnmower was not running. He was pushing it with locked wheels. He came up to my front lawn where landscaped rocks are and drug my lawnmower over them causing damage to my landscape. My husbands work truck was parked in the area that would have been a clear path but he was currently still at the funeral home and I couldnt move his vehicle. The man came from around my house and asked my name and said he was there for the lawnmower. I was a little shocked because again, no vehicle was around the area. He told me he had to pull the mower out because he could not leave without it. He grabbed a strap off the back of my truck, made me back my own truck up and jumped on the back of it stepping on my sons fishing pole and breaking it and then told me to drive him to his vehicle a quarter mile up the road. I told the man that I wanted to call and confirm everything and he told me it would do no good that as soon as everything processed, I could pay whats owed and be able to obtain the mower back. I left it at that and called on 8/11/23 and spoke to a man at Kubota. He explained that the mower was not completely processed yet and confirmed that I would be able to pay the balance owed along with repo fee and get my mower back. On 8/17 I called again to see if everything was processed and was then told that I would not be able to get it until the amount owed was paid with an additional close yo ***** dollars! I was lied to on multiple occasions.

I have made payments ******** pay from my bank to Kubota for over 3 years. I am unable to see the balance of my account because ********************** has locked me out saying because of the status of my account. If I call, they say that my account is paid ahead, but they can not unlock it. I have emailed every month to get access. They have not helped. I have not seen a statement in over 2 years. I have not idea what my balance is. I have called, they tell me I am not delinquent, but I have to show proof I have paid to get access to get in, which I have done and I still don't have access. I signed up for online statements so I don't get statements since I don't have aces!! The company does not help, does not answer emails. I have tired for over two years to get this corrected and they have done nothing. I have threatened to report them several times, they just ignore it. When I do speak with someone, they tell me the reason I am locked out of my account is because I pay with my bank and not through their system. They could be charging me late fees, and I dont know it. I dont know what my balance is. They could be over-charging on finance fees and I wouldn't know it and could be at a point I could not fight it because I am well beyond my time limit to fight it because they are hiding my account. However, not one has helped me get into my account or even send me a statement.

I purchased a Kubota lawnmower in June of 2021 and it has roughly 64 hours on it. 3 weeks ago, it suddenly started smoking from the engine so I brought it to MB in ********, ** (place of purchase) to have it serviced. I received a call from the service department at MB on 5/23/23 that it was not repairable and that I would need a new engine that would cost approximately $2300. The cause of the problem was dirt in the engine. I was told that this would not be covered by the warranty, I also have insurance through Kubota *** and filed a claim which was substantially denied stating operator error. Apparently the issue is with an intake filter that I was told was hidden behind the baggers of the mower in a conversation with an MB employee. . At no point during the walk through when purchasing or picking my machine up was it ever detailed how vital this intake filter was to maintain this lawnmower and feel as though this is poor product design, not operator error. Shouldnt there be a safety to prevent this from happening? Also, what is the point of a warranty or insurance? I have read of others having this very same issue with Kubota products having Kawasaki engines (I will attach the recent BBB complaint I read). and feel the corporations need to be held accountable for this issue.

July 20,2018 Kubota F3990 front mower. Regeneration problem that cant be fixed. Ive been told by the mechanic at the Kubota dealer they will just keep replacing these parts and I can expect to be back again for it. As of July 24,2023 the warranty will be up on this tractor. Also I was told they would take it in on a trade but my ****** dollar investment was only worth ***** to them as they dont want to lose money but me losing ****** didnt seem like a big deal. As Im a small farmer that took some year to pay this off and cant afford the time loss thats accrued. Its hard to get ahead when your equipment is broken down. Ive purchased brand new so I didnt buy some one elses problem. If Kubota cant fix this problem they should replace them. Change the engine and emissions and I would be happier.

      ************,

I see that you have also called into our ***************************** your case number is 230508-001750.  According to your case, the machine is at the dealership right now for diagnosis.  Our local area representative is attempting to find out the diagnosis from the dealership and is ready to assist, if needed.

Kubota is aware of emissions problems that some customers have experienced with their F3990 machines.  For that reason, Kubota has given the original owners of these machines a lifetime warranty on the reformer/emissions system.  We have also provided our dealers updated diagnostic guidelines to help get machines repaired quickly and back to customers.  Please understand that this lifetime warranty does not cover situations where the customer has modified or attempted to remove the emissions system.  Nor does it cover situations where the customer has repeatedly inhibited regeneration of the machine.

Your dealership should inform you of their diagnosis and the options for resolving the issue but please let ** know if you have any additional questions.

      Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
      **************************

I'm responding back to your statement. When I purchased this F3990 Kubota font mower it didnt state that there was an emissions problem with it ; otherwise I would have never bought it.
As a farmer timing is everything and when you have a machine that breaks about every season and throws everything off ; then the stress of not being able to do your job hits!!

This machine is costing me thousands of dollars from the lack of being able to do my job. This machine breaks down during our busy season and yours and cost weeks of work that is required on the farm and spends weeks getting repaired each time. Kubota OVS dealer recording says we repair your equipment right the first time so you dont have to keep coming back well it might be true not saying this problem will return!!

Now having a machine thats lost its value because of the problems and Kubota not willing to remedy the problem other than to keep repairing it back to the original state it was built ; and only offering to the original owners  lifetime repairs for the emissions.

Nobody wants these kind of problems and nether do I.

      Regards,
