      My daughter went to Carenow in Alliance town center in Fort Worth for a possible bladder infection. She was told they would not see her unless she paid a $314 outstanding bill. The reason there is an outstanding bill is because Carenow filed a previous visit under an expired insurance policy. Instead of verifying coverage, we just received a bill. I called and gave them the correct insurance policy and they said it would take 60-90 days to process. Their computer shows that bill and even though it was their mistake, and it happened on a weekend, my daughter was left to wait another day to get looked at because I wouldn't pay the bill. I was told I could take her to the emergency room across the street. Such compassion. I sure if I didn't have insurance, I would have had my daughter put at the front of the line. They should not be able to refuse service for a mistake they committed.

      I received and paid a $184 invoice with my HSA account on 2/28/2022. I assumed that the March and Aprils bills were generated before they credited the account. When I received the May invoice, I contacted them and the agent seemed to indicated that she found the payment and corrected the billing issue. I was told to ignore the May bill. In July I received a $184 invoice from Medicredit for the CareNow charges. When I called CareNow, after binging on hold for several minutes, a customer service representative (Patient Account Business Office) named April answered the phone . As I explained the issue, she required me to verify several levels of account information, which I did. I explained that I was frustrated a recent third partly collection agency letter. She asked if my insurance company paid the original charges, to which I told her that I paid them through my HSA account on 2/28. I asked her to check the account notes, as I had already explained this months ago. She eventually said she needed to review an account ticket generated on 5/18, then placed me on hold for approximately 15 minutes. When she returned to the line, she verbally confirmed that they corrected the error and the account balance is now zero. When I requested something in writing, she said I would receive it within the next 30 days.... Their billing issues caused me more grief than the reason for my use of their services. I will not use this company in the future.
