TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH !! purchased a safe from TSC that had some damage from shipper, no big deal. Safe came without keys from factory and was missing interior bolt cover plug. Contacted Winchester, they told me since i purchased a safe at a discounted price they would not cover any of the missing parts or keys. I had to pay $25 for the factory keys to have as backup if keypad failed. Numerous calls unanswered. Waiting for several weeks for keys and no reply from numerous emails. Glad to have one safe, but will definitely purchase my next safe from another company. **** never recommend a Winchester safe to anyone.

Purchased safe about two months ago. Touched the keypad and static discharge fried it. Tried all of the troubleshooting recommended online. You would think first of all that these would be statically shielded! What a poor quality keypad!! Tried calling several times. 99% of the time, I get a message saying that they are closed due to inclement weather and can't speak to anyone. I didn't know 50 degree overcast/light rain is considered inclement in *****. That's all we get in Western Washington on our good days! I finally got ahold of someone after waiting on hold forever and was emailed a form to fill out. Filled out the form and sent back. It has now been a week with no response. I have tried calling several times and found out they have 2 numbers, one that just says they are closed due to inclement weather and another that just said that they are only open Monday through Thursday and today is Friday. All I need is for them to send me a new dang keypad! I will not buy another safe from them again!

My experience with the Winchester Safe customer service line is just as dismal as all the other reviews. The keypad on my new TS-36/45 (Tractor Supply) safe quit working after the first week. Fortunately the planets were aligned and I got through to a Winchester rep on the first try. She guided me through the reset procedure and all was well...for three weeks. The second time the keypad failed was a permanent condition. After trying for three days to get ahold of a rep I gave up on the phone number and did a little deeper web search. I came across this email address: contactus@winchestersafes .com ....remove the space between safe and the .com when sending. The complete email string as it should be written is flagged as personal information and can't be sent as such.Literally within three minutes of sending an email outlining my complaint I got a response. A copy of my receipt was requested and sent. Within another five minutes Winchester responded stating that a new keypad was on its way. Two days later I had the part in hand.I ask the rep why the phone number was unresponsive. His apologetic reply was that there were only two people taking calls and that they were swamped. Staffing being the culprit. Not defending Winchester as a corporation mind you, just passing along a message from the desperate low wage soldiers in the trench.Another thing to consider is that the keypad is an off the shelf item from some vendor in *****, go figure. The self-same keypad can be purchased from Amazon for $60 bucks. It's junk in the big scheme of things which seems to be the consumers new reality.Hope this review helps some of you fellow keypad sufferers out there.

I purchased this safe brand new on Jan. 4th ****. I was given a discount by the reseller ( NOT Winchester) because the safe was dinged and scratched. When I got home and got it unloaded I found out that the little plastic clips for the shelves and the spokes for the door handle are missing so I contacted Winchester right away. Winchester is REFUSING to send these to me because of the discount for the dings and scratches. This is absolute garbage customer service for a BRAND NEW SAFE. I will be looking at returning this one and spending more money for a company who will actually take care of their customers.

I purchased a winchester safe from tractor Supply around black Friday. A month later the key pad just stop working. I have sent 2 emails and called winchester 3 days in a row and have been on hold. This is the worst customer service.

I totally agree with you one star is too many. After reading all the reviews maybe it is time for a class action lawsuit. It seems all of us have the same problem and they do not seem to care. It is obvious they know their product is defective. I have spent hours with phone calls to the Tractor Supply Winchester Safe Rep, and emails requesting service. I was told my lock was sticking and they would sell me a new. one. Yes, my lock is not under warranty (11 months out), however reputable companies would replace the locks for free and not continue put defective ones on their safes. How long are they going to continue telling people to change the battery. I was told to only use a battery dated not to expire until the year ****. So, open every package and see what the date is before you purchase it? Another solution was to wait to hear the second beep and immediately rotate the spindle. Does this sound like how my safe should operate. ***************** as I am writing this, I have spent over two hours waiting on hold listening to **** say they are busy and telling me about the battery issue. They do not even know why I called. Think maybe they know about the problem. Three time the line went dead. I was a fan of Winchester products, not anymore.

The customer service department is beyond HORRIBLE!! I was on hold for 53 minutes and no assistance except for looking for an email that they received my request. They spent less than 5 minutes on the phone. I would not recommend buying their products. The electronic lock system stopped working. All the individual could recommend was to change the battery, which I did.

Horrible customer service!!Keypad has an issue, oh fill out this form and well call you back in a day, week, month who knows? Then hang up on you after youve waited on hold for an hour to speak to a person. If I could return, I would just bare on their awful customer service. NEVER EVER BUY A ******************** SAFE!!! They dont stand behind it, wont help you. Just please go away as we dont want to deal with you, thats the message they clearly send.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Winchester Safes' apparent business model is to sell the product and then ignore any customer service calls. I tried several times to get ahold of them regarding electronic lock issues. As a test, I left my phone on hold with them for 4 hours and no one ever picked up. They do not provide an email contact. They are a very disreputable company and should hopefully be the focus of a class action lawsuit.
