I sought to reserve a hotel room directly from a hotel website because of the problems I have faced with companies such as ***********. After searching for the name of the hotel online, I found what appeared to be the hotel's website it had the hotel's name at the top and made a reservation. When I needed to cancel because my son was ill, I called the hotel, which was willing to cancel but could not find the reservation. At that time I discovered I had made the reservation through a third-party against my preferences. The third party company, ************************************************ (also uses ********************* in its emails) was unwilling to refund the money. It provided no services, did not actually block a room for me (because the hotel did not have a record of the reservation), and presented itself in a deceptive manner.Initial Complaint

Within the last ********************************************** Nov (its August now) at *********** in ****** in ************. I have called to cancel as it is within ******************************************************************************** to another person who after a 20min hold then said they cannot provide a refund. I have now been on the phone for over an hour awaiting a supervisor but as they probably go out of their way to s**** alot of customers they are quite busy. I believe the law says you have 24hrs to cancel. As can be seen from the uploaded email attachment I am well within this timeframe. They are effectively attempting to confiscate $309 from me and I will not and should not stand for this. It is no way to run a company and they should not be allowed to continue with policies such as this.Initial Complaint

I rented a room online with ************************************************ on July 30, 2024 in the amount of $225.50 for April 25, 2025. On August 1, 2024, I discovered I made the booking for the wrong date. It should have been April 26, 2025. I attempted to cancel but was refused reimbursement. The Cancellation Policy is misleading in that it states that a cancellation or change is SUBJECT TO a fee of $225.50. The following sentence also is misleading as it indicates that refunds are not issued after April 25, 2025. I believed I was within the above parameters in my request for reimbursement. I was refused such refund in an email communication referencing the misleading policy and, when pursuing the issue, was simply re-emailed the same refusal letter.Initial Complaint

Reservation number in my email did not exist in the Omni hotel system. hotelvalues.com had a webpage impersonating the omni Nashville webpage. Payment was deducted on the day the reservation was made. No reservation was made to the Omni and company website does not exist. No contact information and 800 number on credit card statement is of the Omni hotel corporate office. This company/ person is scamming people out of money. Will be reporting to my **** card promptly to dispute the charge.Initial Complaint

On July 13, 2024, I booked a room through HotelValues.com at *********** in ****** ** for July 13th. On the same day, I realized I inadvertently book Athens GA, when I intended to book ******, **. I called HotelValues and confirmed that there is a cancellation policy from ******* that could not refund me unless approved. They would submit the request to *******. I called Hampton Inn front desk at GA and explained that I inadvertently booked at the wrong hotel. I was informed that it happens all the time and that they would approve the cancellation request refund through HotelValues.I proceeded to stay at ******************************************************* never received the approval for the cancellation refund from ********** as promised.I followed up with ************** on 7/26. I was told that they had no record of agreeing to honor the refund and would not honor it. I asked to speak with management but was refused and offered a callback. I have not received a callback.I paid $189.03 for this stay. I realize that I made the initial mistake of booking at the wrong location, but was promised it would be corrected and refunded. I proceeded to book another room in the correct location.Initial Complaint

I tried to book through the Hotel site *******************************************, and did not realize this booking was through a 3rd party. They are a complete mess. They do not have any supervisors to help with any question or complaints, they pretend they can't hear you and hung up the phone over and over again. The news showed on the Friday before out check in that a hurricane and flash flooding was expected to hit the hotel we were going to. I immediately called the company and spoke to someone who said it would take 24 hours to hear back. I tried for hours the next day to reach some one and no one answered, and the servicing message was "due to high call volume" They are unable to modify any reservations even though a hurricane is going to hit on the day of our check in. They do not speak english and pretend they cant understand you. Be careful do not book through them! I noticed a bunch of complaints are the same. Someone needs to prevent this company from inserting themselves into sites.Initial Complaint

On 4/19/2024 at 6:19 AM HST a charge was made to my Barclays charge card in the amount of $1102.94 for 3 nights at the *********************** online to hotelvalues.com.I did not make this charge. I am physically in ********* at this exact time 9:19 AM P*T with that specific charge card. If I had made this charge the invoice would have been in P*T time. My hotel while in ********* on this trip was the * Hotel. Barclays has declined my notification that this transaction was fraudulent. Since this reservation was a "no-show" the Circa refunded to Travelfundersnetwork.com all monies except $361.54 for a no-show fee. I am now, without any results via email or phone, trying to obtain the rest of the refund of the $1102.94 with no response from getaroom.com or pps.priceline.com.Initial Complaint

On April 17, 2024 I booked a travel stay for work through what I thought was the Hilton website. I booked and paid in advance. The taxes seemed steep, but I received a confirmation that appeared authentic through what I thought was ******. My co-worker booked through Hilton directly. She paid half the price. Unfortunately, I was scammed and booked through hotel values website. In researching it appears I paid over $181.11 in service fees and there was a very inflated room price per night ($217 instead of $152.62- including taxes). I realized this when checking in and I was not eligible to redeem my Hilton points because I had accidentally booked through a 3rd party website. And now I cannot submit a proper itemized receipt for reimbursement for my company because I was duped into paying extra fees and charges.Initial Complaint

I booked a hotel through what I thought was the hotel website (Holiday Inn). ****** took me to a third party site, in this case, hotel values. I entered the dates for Friday-Saturday. It was my fault I didnt double check the dates when booking - and I made a mistake and booked last night instead. When I realized this I contacted customer support to ask if I could change the date. I could not, which I understand. I then asked if I could be charged on a other card because the card I had used was for work and since I did not stay at the hotel last night, I would get in trouble using my company card. They would not let me change cards, saying they are not allowed to do refunds - even though Im not asking for a refund, Im asking for them to change the card that was charged. I was on the phone for *************************************************************** within a half hour to discuss it further. Its been several hours and Ive heard nothing. I dont believe this business is legit and I am concerned.Initial Complaint

I booked a hotel stay for September 2024 online and I thought I was booking directly with the hotel but it was Hotelvalues.com. I specifically remember reading about a 72 hour cancellation period - there was nothing that stated the amount was non-refundable. It also stated the estimated charges were around $1100 and I assumed that was after taxes and fees. I booked the hotel shortly before 10:00pm on April 18th. Nothing on the page indicated that it was to be paid in full right away but then it showed that they submitted the full charge. As soon as I realized my card was charged - minutes later - I cancelled my reservation as I didn't want to pay in advance as my dates are not confirmed. The amount was also much higher than they stated - $1586.49 including high fees. There was no warning during the cancellation that my booking was non-refundable. I received a confirmation email at 10:00PM 4/18/24 that my reservation was cancelled R4875003400. I did not read the fine print at first because I had no indication that it was non-refundable. I received a confirmation email without any reservation details or an itemized receipt from *************************** at 10:37PM 4/18/24 - AFTER I CANCELLED the reservation. I never received an itemized confirmation email. When the charge never got refunded I called the hotel values line multiple times and was hung up on and transferred and then told to talk to the hotel that they need to do the refund. Hotel Anduluz confirmed they saw my reservation and at it was cancelled same day but they confirmed they never received payment so I had to seek a refund from the vendor. I have tried calling multiple times since and then disputed the charge through my card but it was just credited back. I got no service - no one is out any money except me - the hotel is now fully booked and I don't have a room and I owe $1586.49 for no service. These are fraudulent business practices. I am seeking a full refund.
