This company fraudulently added additional services, three additional insurance charges that were not explained or agreed upon to my bill for a rental car. When I questioned the amount they stated it was due to the deposit which was a lie. I reached out to their customer service the next day at my destination via phone and email and they refused to do anything. Rental duration: 2/16/25 thru 2/22/25.Original bill: $366.41 (online booking)Added AWD: $149.80 (I agreed to this)Total amount they charged: $1,144.74

I did fail to notice and annotat the minor scratches, as with most rentals the damages are significant and major are to be reported, I would like the history of the vehicle and provided previous photos the entire vehicle and if repair is completed an itemized invoice, and their insurance report of the damages I feel this company is using the loophole you should have noticed and taken photos. Well I would like proof provided that the damages have or haven't been previously reported and they received compensation from other customers.

Date of the transaction: 2/14/25 Total amount paid: ******** Disputed amount: $515 I was charged $65 for additional drivers when I was told I could have up to three drivers. I added two drivers at the time, so that's a total of three with me. This charge was never disclosed. I found it upon close inspection of the contract/receipt.$65 -- I was charged for additional drivers when the policies clearly state that there can be up to three additional drivers on a reservation at no additional cost. $450 -- I was charged for collision insurance when I did not ask for it. I was asked if I would be using my insurance and I said yes. Finding that charge was a total surprise. The charge is labeled as "collision damage waiver." I was asked if I would be providing my own insurance to which I said yes. This charge was not disclosed to me but apparently I "signed for it" in a deceptive manner.I contacted the agency as soon as I saw the contract. I again tried to resolve the issue upon returning the vehicle, without success. I was told: "if you didn't want insurance, why did you agree to it." At one point I was told that the insurance was required because the vehicle was worth over $100,000. And at another point, I was told it was required because the vehicle transports more than 10 people. When I inquired about the extra charges on 2/17/24, in person, upon returning the vehicle, both the attendant and the manager were very rude. The insurance charges were not explicitly disclosed to me upon receiving the rental and if I "signed for it on the pin pad" (as the manager kept repeating), it was under extremely deceptive practices. This information is neither disclosed on the website nor in the confirmation I received, quoting the cost of the rental. I assure you I wouldn't have rented the van if I had known this. The contract was sent to my email after I picked up the vehicle. If this insurance is truly required, which is not true, it should be on the confirmation.

Date of Transaction:December 17, 2024 Amount Paid:$1,068.06 Reservation Number:**********NU Business Name:N Car Rentals Business Address:*********************************** ***** Nature of Complaint:On December 17, 2024, I made a car rental reservation with N Car Rentals (Reservation #**********NU), for the amount of $1,068.06. On December 18, 2024, within 24 hours, I cancelled this reservation as per their cancellation policy. I received a confirmation of the cancellation from N Car Rentals the same day, clearly stating the reservation was canceled and the refund processed.Despite multiple follow-ups via their customer service channels over the past three months, I have yet to receive the refund to my original payment method. The company representatives repeatedly confirmed the refund was approved, and assured me multiple times it would appear in my credit card account within 1-2 billing cycles. However, to this dateover three months since cancellationthe refund still has not been issued or reflected on my account.I have provided the company ample time and numerous opportunities to resolve this issue, yet no tangible action has been taken to provide my refund. The prolonged delay and lack of transparency have caused significant inconvenience.Desired Outcome:I request the immediate processing of my full refund of $1,068.06 to my original payment method, along with clear communication and documentation confirming the refund transaction has been successfully completed.

Transaction date: 2/27-3/5/25. Nu car rentals knows and acknowledges that whenever a reservation for their vehicles are reserved on Priceline coverage is already paid for at that time. So upon paying for my reservation, I knew I had coverage. When I went to go pick up the car from the rental location the representative had me sign the paperwork and never never expressing to me I was purchasing extra insurance only the basic coverage that came with the vehicle from Priceline because I had already paid online. Afterwards, I had to pay a $534.50 deposit for the vehicle. On March 5, I was refunded $321. And Nu car rentals willingly neglected to tell me they were selling me an extra insurance package, they quickly highlight and make you sign fine print without saying what it is, even though they already knew I had coverage because the booking was online. Per NU information policy they also acknowledge they can charge the driver for any child seats or special request, but insurance is not a request that has to be asked from the representative. Upon my knowledge, I already had insurance so I had no idea. I was double paying for insurance and Nu car rentals is refusing to acknowledge or refund this. After all of this was done and I was waiting for my deposit to be returned. I never received a confirmation email or receipt summarizing the rental because the associate incorrectly typed my email .

On December ******* I rented a car through Hotwire and prepaid the car rental in the amount of ******. That car rental went through ************* in *******. I arrived on January 19th and picked up the car. The computers went down and they could not print a receipt or run my card for a deposit amount for damages. The gentleman then wrote down all of the information on a piece of paper. He authorized release of the car and said they would email a receipt. I took the car, kept it the entire ten days and returned to the same location early on the 29th. I received my credit card billing for the next month and found a $518.13 amount charged. This amount is fraudulent. I called Nu Car and they stated that I signed and authorized insurance for my car in the amount of $518.13. I explained that there were no computers and printers and there was nothing to sign. He stated that I signed something and I requested a copy. He emailed me a form that I did not sign, nor did I fill out any of the information on the form. It is not my writing or my signature and furthermore, I never buy insurance because I have my own that covers my rentals. No matter how many times I told the gentleman that this wea fraudulent, he persisted. I asked to speak with a manager who was not available. I have written to my credit card company to remove and investigate the charge to my account without my consent.

On January 19, 2025 I purchased ******* tickets through Cheap flights fares and rented a car, for February 21, 2025 to March 01, 2025. On January 28, 2025 I called to cancel the car rental as I ended up not needing a car rental, I had to leave a message in ***** ******* voicemail as I was told he was assisting another customer and he would call me back in 30 minutes. He never called back. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to physically cancel the car rental until February 6, 2025. I was told by ***** ****** **** Cheap Flight Fares that he could only reimburse me $89.00 as the remaining $212.87 was already giving to NU Car Rentals. He told me that he canceled the car rental and it would take 7-10 business days for NU Car Rental to refund me my money. As of today 3/5/2025 I still havent received my money back. I have called multiple times, and went on there help desk, ***************************** which you can only find a phone number to call, nothing to email a complaint or ask a question. I finally got through on the phone today only to be hung up on, after answering the questions while in turn asking the woman her name a few times. I always ask the name of the person I am speaking with for my records! I just want my money refunded back to me, as I canceled the rental way before my rental date.

We booked a vehicle rental from Nu Car Rentals through ******* from Jan 22nd until Jan 28th 2025. The vehicle was advertised to cost of $54 dollars per day a total of $324. In addition, I paid the additional $13 per day for insurance although I already had my own insurance that covers car rentals outside of that. The total we paid via ******* was $587.94 inc**ding the insurance, taxes, and fees. As in previous complaints, please note that on the attached receipt Expedia states "The total price inc**des all mandatory taxes and fees." When we arrived to Nu Car Rentals, we became overwhelmed, as were other customers around us, with the surprising and excessive fees that were previously hidden and mandatory. The attendant simply stated it was all mandatory when questioned. With little/no explanation we were made to pay an additional $327.25 on top of the Expedia booking fees (Appears as Easeway on my cc statement). It is unclear whether all of these charges are indeed mandatory- especially considering I did have my own insurance that works in ***********. The attendant did not ask me for proof of my own insurance. Some charges on my receipt, such as ** for 2.95 per day or PRU for $8.35 per day are unclear as to what they are. We are seeking reimbursement of the $327.25 hidden fees that were not made clear by Nu Car Rentals via *******. Couple more notes, we were charged a $75 dollar drop fee for our one way trip, while no one disclosed that information to us during pick up nor via *******, after we got home we searched carefully and found that this fee was mentioned under their fine print policies in an email from ******* that inc**ded the receipt. It was hyperlinked within a sentence stating- "See information about late fees and deposits" which is not a very clear indication to check for any fees that may be imposed even if you are on time. Additionally, ******* refunded us the insurance for $13 per day that we were unable to use amounting to $78 back to us.
