Medtronic has processed an order that was never approved. I never agreed to an order from them and never received a product from them. They are charging me $1793.69 and sent my personal information to *************************************** without any approval or consent by me. I'm worried with my personal information being sent to a financial group that if I don't pay, I may be reported and have a hit on my credit score. I talked with Medtronic, Representative *****, about getting pricing for out of pocket. Next thing I know, I'm getting a bill from Medtronic and now I am getting a bill from ******************************. The release of my personal information and their practice of billing for a product I never agreed to purchase nor received is unsettling that this company has no respect of consumer privacy and also placing a claim with my insurance and billing me.

*** had 2 insurances since day one. BUT their *** only listed one since it paid in full when I started. This year ************************************************************************************************************************** for the ******* and refuse to bill my primary. If they wouldve done their jobs at the beginning of the new year and did insurance verifications they wouldve seen who was primary and secondary and billed accordingly or called me to verify and none of this happened. They need to be investigated for their unethical billing practices

I am rejecting this response because:

What they failed to mention was their Representative ******* ******* chose not to add my ****************** when I first started with Medtronics because at the time UHC was my primary and they paid in full. I added the ****************** March ************************************************************************************************************************** for that one as well. Medtronic failed to do their job with documenting my insurances from the beginning which has led to this issue. They were negligent and this has resulted in unethical billing practices.

A little over a year ago a Medtronic sales *** contacted me about a pump upgrade, initially I turned it down, and for the next 3 attempts he made over a few months. Finally I listened to his sales pitch as my sensor transmitter started having issues and they wanted $600 to ***lace the little plastic thing. Initially he told me the cost range, with insurance it would most likely run $400-$600 dollars if I also sent in my current pump for a $500 credit, he told me without insurance it could reach a cost of $4500 I told him we could start the process as long as he could get me a finalized cost before I agreed to anything in stone bc if it was the higher cost I would just ***lace the transmitter. Like two weeks later I got a phone call from him from a different number where he told me that he ran everything and I would only have to pay $550 after trade in, so I agreed to it and he said hed get it started, he called me a few days later from the reg number and went over all the same info about the cost ranges and all that which I thought was weird but i didnt pay it much mind, he then placed my order. I received my reg supply shipment a month prior to the pump but fast forward to this last July when I went to reorder supplies and was told there was a hold on my account, when I checked my account I had a bill for OVER $6000!!! I tried calling the *** multiple times on both numbers he called me from and he never responded, I left a few voicemails just saying I had a couple questions about the pump but still never got a response, and Medtronics customer service is garbage. They read of a script and have no connection to the sales ***s so that issue meant nothing to them. I have been straining and rationing my supplies for months now trying to resolve this and Im down to my last few sets and Medtronic doesnt care. Oh and on top of that they claim they never received my old pump either.. but idk where the tracking info is.

I am rejecting this response because: I couldnt name the ***resentative that hounded me to get the new pump bc it was well over a year ago at this point.  I will dig through voicemails to find it.  I was also unaware of the incoming bill for a previous auto order when I agreed to the pump.  Medtronic refers to the collection agency as 3rd party yet can somehow hold supplies hostage until a payment arrangement is made with the 3rd party, that doesnt sound 3rd party.  I will take credit for making the agreement but I do feel I was pressured into this new pump and have been put into a place where I cannot afford the 3rd parties required payments now.  As discussed with ******* I had found my notes from my phone calls with the *** and I only agreed bc I was told that they had 4 year payment arrangements but when I called after receiving the bill they informed me 2 years was the max and I couldnt afford the ridiculous payment amount they quoted me per month.  Medtronic is now forcing me to choose between a place to live and pump payments to be able to order more supplies all bc a sales *** wanted a sale and I was dumb enough to agree to it when all I wanted originally was a new transmitter for my old pump.  If I still had my old pump Id go back to using it and send this one back as I havent had sensors in almost a year so none of the features have benefited me.  I may just choose to never pay this bill and find a different company.    I will find the voicemails from the sales *** bc he did call from a non Medtronic phone number on one of our calls.

I am rejecting this response because: Im tired of reading Medtronics **** ***lies where they twist my words for Medtronics benefit.  I never agreed to any version of paying the $4k+ amount outright, I agreed solely to a payment plan I was offered that I later found out didnt exist.  Medtronic keeps telling me the recordings dont show this and I have told them the sales *** ***** also called me from a number I can only consider to be his personal and I have phone records of voicemails left from it and that we talked on it a couple of times.  I asked *** from Medtronic two simple questions, why did ***** disappear after I received the bill and had questions, and is the Oscars number also recorded? I received no response to those.  Medtronic has been avoidant of anything that isnt their number and refuse to acknowledge the sales *** talked to me on a different number.  *** also lied stating I hadnt reached out to him but I did and have an email that predates his BBB response where I asked my previous two questions. I was called and left voicemails 10 times by *****  between 4/1/24 to 5/28/24, it doesnt include the times I answered as call log doesnt go back that far, but I can get those from my carrier if needed.

I used to be a client of Medtronic Minimed for years. I have primary and secondary insurance, but the charges did not make sense. The product was not explained, and I kept receiving bills with charges. I called several times, and they just passed my questions/complains to somebody to review them, then they send the same bill, with no explanation. I decided to stop using their product and I paid the balance on the account by the end of 2023. This past January of 2025 I received another bill for ******* (ACCT# *******. I called and I was told very nicely that she was going to send my complain to be reviewed. Same thing happened; they sent me the same bill again (service 8/29/23 and 10/16/23).

My husband, ***** *********, 02/14/1951, has been a diabetic for 45 years. The last 20 years or SO he has used a medtronic pump. I placed an order for his supplies about a month ago, because he was running low. got a messa ...email, that said they would arrive 10 Jan, th DID NOT SAY IT WAS JUST THE SENSORS,we finally got the package and to my husba dismay, it only had the sensors. He called medtronic (THEY GAVE HIM THE RUN A AROUND) and they said they CANCELED th order I put in, (NEVER NOTIFYING US THAT THEY DID THAT), because apparently his was up for renewal on 1/12. Now he is OU"tubing AND reservoir. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST MY HUSBAND DO SINCE HE CANNOT USE HIS PUMP FOR AT LEAST A WEEK OR MORE TILL YOUR PEOPLE DECIDE TO MAIL OUT HIS SUPPLIES. MAYBE I SHOULD JUST HAVE HIM HOSPITILIZED AND YOU PICK UP THE BILL. We pay the medtronic bill the minute we get it.I AM REPORTING THIS TO THE BBB. YOUR COMPANY HAS PUT MY HUSBANDS LIFE IN DANGER. I am an RN, so don't think I don't know what I am talking about,

Medtronic is a nightmare to deal with in any compacity. There is a very small handful (I mean you can count on one hand) of employees that know how to do their job. They have sent me $1k bills and expected me to pay them almost instantly. They withheld diabetic supplies from me for months while I paid it down because they put profit over their customers 100% of the time. They will literally let you die by withholding necessary medical supplies over a few hundred dollars you are actively paying down. My warranty was up in August and I kept getting emails from their Therapy Specialists to upgrade and I tried for 4 months. I called, I emailed, I got my doctor's office involved, they involved the medtronic *** from the hospital and tried ordering it through their order site, I ***eatedly tried ordering it through medtronics website and it took 4 months of this continuously to finally get someone competent at medtronic to push this order through. I then had 3 months of sensor 3s I asked to trade in for the sensor 4s since I now (after 4 months) had the 780g system and have 2 emails FROM MEDTRONIC EMPLOYEES saying they will accept the 3 month supply back for a swap only to call customer service to get a return label and be told they won't except it past 30 days. I've sent back supplies before with zero issue. You guys just took back my VERY USED OLD PUMP AND SENSOR PLUG IN for the sensor 3s with no problem, but after dragging your feet for 4 months now won't accept my unopened boxes of sensor 3s. This company does anything and everything to s**** over their customers, and its truly disgusting. If this isn't resolved after all the ridiculous back and forth I had to deal with for 4 months just to get this pump I'll be reaching out to the news, posting on social media, reaching out to our Attorney General and speaking with a lawyer. I've saved every interaction with medtronic. They will all be getting posted including the company withholding my medical supplies for months.

I am rejecting this response because: this company loves to use buzz words and state how they value their customers, but actions speak louder than words. EVERYTHING this company does is a complete disregard for customer service and customer safety. I have lost count of the amount of recalls their products have had and the amount of lawsuits against this company. It took four months for their company "that cares so much," to send me an insulin pump I'd been approved for 4 months prior. The same company that withheld necessary medical supplies that I need to live for 5 months because they expected me to pay a 1k bill instantly, which caused me to have to ration diabetic supplies and go back to using needles sometimes which has caused my A1C to go up dramatically, it's the highest it's been in almost a decade. And I did provide one of the 2 emails in a screen shot but they want to play with words and say oh since such and such word was used that means we can get away with not helping you, AGAIN SHOWING THE ABSOLUTE LACK OF CARING on medtronics part. On top of that my account is already screwed up as they owe me hundreds and hundreds in credits for "WAIT FOR IT, A USED PUMP AND SENSOR," (HILARIOUS HOW THEY TOOK THOSE) but I have yet to be credited for either and since I can't trust medtronic to do literally anything right, I tracked the package myself and it was delivered days and days ago, yet my account is still saying I owe an astronomical amount. They do nothing right and absolutely nothing to help customers they just want your money. They prove that over and over again with EVERY interaction. Bottom line if you cared you'd fix the problem not come up with every excuse not to.

I am rejecting this response because: per usual medtronics response is an absolute joke with zero intent to fix the matter further proving the only thing they care about is profit not the customer. They want to wrap this up in a pretty little bow and pretend like they made any attempt to fix this but they have made absolutely zero attempt to fix it, while finding any and every reason to state why they won't. Medtronic is a disgusting company with predatory practices that take advantage of their customers. As stated in my prior response you can either fix this or I will continue to reject any and all responses from this company. Thankfully this is public so everyone can see this horrible company for exactly what it is. A company that preys on and takes advantage of people knowing they need these supplies to live.

Around December 3rd I ordered some insulin pump supplies from Medtronic Minimed. There is $150 credit on my account which I called and verified when I placed the order which they guaranteed me they would use. They did not use the credit instead charged my credit card on file. After my 3rd phone call to them, they still can only find that they charged $70.39. In searching, part of my order went to a 3rd party (Stayput Medical). Two charges to my credit card are $70.39 and $80.52 ( this one for the 3rd party items. Minimed refuses to give me any credit back saying I can't use my credit on non-Minimed items. I have had nothing but trouble with over the years. My $150 credit is still there but in past years they tell me I have to use it before the end of the year or they absorb my credit. Please help get my money back to my card and a check issued to me for my credit. I attached all documents that show the order from Minineds website and the 2 charges from Minimed. If you need anything else, please let me know. ***** *******

I had Guardian 4 sensors sent to me on 5/10/24 from Medtronic. Medtronic did not attempt to run my insurance until a month later, on 6/7/24 as this was confirmed by my insurance company. At this time, the claim was rejected, but I was never notified that the claim was rejected until I received a bill in the mail for the total out-of-pocket sum of the sensors, which was over $1,800. I called Medtronic to see what the issue was, and they stated they sent the needed paperwork to my doctor, but the paperwork was never received. I called and confirmed that it was never received by my doctor's office due to Medtronic not using the correct contact information or the correct doctor I had listed on their website. Also had Medtronic contacted my insurance earlier than 6/7/24 (almost a month after the date of service for the sensors), I may have been able to return the sensors prior to using them. Since Medtronic did not attempt to contact my insurance until almost a month later, I had already used the sensors under the assumption they would be covered as Medtronic's Guardian 3 sensors had been covered for me in the past. My insurance company stated they needed a prior authorization/medical exemption from my doctor for the sensors in order for the sensors to be covered, and, as of 7/17/24, I had the needed paperwork. But now I am stuck with Medtronic's bill for the sensors since insurance will not retroactively cover the sensors due to Medtronic sending the sensors without the approval of my insurance and leaving me to foot the bill entirely.

I am rejecting this response because I wish to get clarify of the following points:

Billing Assurance: On December 23, 2024, I spoke with a Medtronic representative named *****, who assured me that even if the appeal for insurance coverage of the sensorsrelated to the order with a date of service of May 10, 2024is denied, I would not be held liable for the outstanding balance associated with these sensors. This assurance was a critical factor in my decision to proceed with the appeal process.

However, in your communication, you state, Until the appeal has been resolved, Mr. ****** is not responsible for paying for the order. This statement raises concern that I may be held responsible for payment if the appeal is denied, which directly contradicts the assurance provided by your representative. To avoid any misunderstanding, I formally request specific written clarification on the following:

-Will I be held financially responsible for the sensors if the insurance appeal is denied?
-How does Medtronic reconcile the assurance I received from your representative with the language used in your written communication?

Additionally, while I appreciate the acknowledgment of any customer service shortcomings, I encourage your team to ensure that all future communications and account-related matters are handled appropriately and align with the commitments made by your representatives.

Please confirm receipt of this message and provide the requested clarifications and assurances at your earliest convenience.

In July I went to ****** but did not want to take guardian 4 sensors and wanted one month of those sensors held because to get these through security is a night mare. Instead wanted a month of freestyle libre as they are easier to get through security at airports. When I returned, I never received my regular shipment of guardian 4 and called metronic. I was told I would have to wait til December because their sales people misunderstood my instructions. This is their mistake which they refuse to rectify. I want them to resume my shipments as instructed.

I wanted to get an insulin pump. I was told by Medtronic that I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket, and my G7 sensor would work with the insulin pump. They told me also i had 1 month to try it out and if didnt like i could return it. Both were lies. First I had to pick up my pump from ***** facility because they wouldn't leave it at my door. ***** left no note, I found out by contacting medtronic wondering if they sent it yet. It was at the ***** facility for at least a week. Next they kept postponing my training for the pump. Then after training I found out it wouldn't work with my G7 sensor so by now I've had enough. Then I get a bill from them for $1200. I requested a return from the sales **** that i was dealing with. They wouldn't respond. I call then directly and get help and initiate a return. I was told they would email me the information tobreturn it. Then I get an email stating they won't allow me to return the pump. This is ridiculous.they lie to me, don't honor there returns. This is my health they are messing with. I need help please. I just want to return there product which I was in my right to do and not owe Then
