      DO NOT sing a contract with this company!! I have been stuck in my contract for ******************************************************* the system and did not read the fine print as closely as I should have. A little over 5 years of use we decided we no longer wanted the system. We called to cancel. We had already auto renewed for another 5 years. You have to contact them in writing several month before the auto renew date to cancel. We did not do that. When I said I would just stop paying, I was threatened with lawsuits and even bigger charges due to breach of contract. I gave into my fate and continued to pay monthly for 5 more years. I sent them a notice of cancelation in fall of 2024. I got a response that they had received my notice and said no further action was required. Guess what, they went ahead and auto renewed my 5 year contract. I called and spoke with someone today. A Lizzy at Ext 2059. She was very unprofessional and even tried to gaslight me about the safety of my family. She told me several times, "Don't you want to keep your family safe!" I was livid and wanted to come unglued. I asked you speak with a supervisor. She refused to transfer the call. She said they would have to find the letter and send it to the cancelation department. I kept asking her why that didn't happen when I sent it to them 9 months ago.I have never experienced such horrible customer service from a company ever. Once they get you, they do not want to let you go. Keep that in mind if you are considering them.

      We started with amp like 7-8 years ago. At the beginning it was ok. We started having problems with the cameras. First it was the garage then the doorbell. They would get overheated and stop working. I called them and they told me yes we can send some one out to fix them. They re wrote my contract that extended it with out my permission. It would take weeks to get someone out here, and my cameras never recorded or worked when I really needed them. I had an incident were there was a guy running from the cops. The guy jumped in my husband's truck and hid from the cops. My kids and I was right outside when this was happening and did not get any alert on my phone or panel that we nore the other guy was in my front yard. Soon after we went inside. The camera showed the guy getting out and running up the street. I called and complained. They told me it was my fault because my phone was not set up correctly for the app to notify me. I asked why the panel didnt notify me they told me that the panel was having issues as well and they needed to send someone out. They told me they would call me when they could send someone out. They never called. After that I called to cancel my contract they told me it would cost me more to do that because the cancelation fees and all the money I owed them. I got different stories all the time. So I gave up and stuck with it. My contract was up in may. My husband sent an email June 12 2025 to cancel the service. They told me wait 30 days and it will be canceled. I waited and call two days before the 30 days and got yelled at called names on the phone. Then hung up on. I called back and I was mad like how do you treat your customers like that? That person also hung up on me. Everytime I have called i get different versions of how the process works and why I cant talk to managers. I have recordings on my phone of all the conversations as well. They continue to tell me need to wait but I will still be getting billed...

      AMP SMART SECURITY HAS NOT RESPONDED OR MONITORED MY HOME SINCE FEB 2025, WHEN I REPEATEDLY SENT MESSAGES AND COMPLAINTS THRU THEIR APP AND WEBSITE, NO RESPONSE. EVEN HAD SEVERAL ALARMS GO OFF, NO POLICE, NO CALL FROM THEM, NOTHING, ZILCH. PAYING $75 A MONTH AND NOT BEING SERVICED. WHEN I ASKED MY BANK TO STOP THE PAYMENT THIS MONTH (JUNE), THAT IS WHEN I HEARD FROM THEM. NOPE, NOT ANOTHER DIME UNTIL YOU REPLACE THIS BAD SENSOR

      THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE AND EXPLOITS ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS. MY 77-YEAR-OLD MOTHER WAS FOOLED INTO SIGNING A 5-YEAR CONTRACT, AND THERE'S NO WAY FOR HER TO EXIT IT WITHOUT INCURRING SIGNIFICANT COSTS. SHE DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF MONEY. NOW, FIVE YEARS LATER, WE'RE BEING HARASSED BY THIS COMPANY BECAUSE WE WANT TO CANCEL. A SIMPLE EMAIL OR PHONE CALL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO CANCEL IS INSUFFICIENT; THEY REQUIRE ME TO SEND A LETTER THROUGH THE MAIL. IT'S JUST ANOTHER WAY TO DISRUPT A CUSTOMER WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN DISRUPTED. ********************** SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED!!!

      My 5 YEAR NON-CANCELABLE contract ends this August 2025. $50 for every service call (including battery exchanges), hard sell to add a new service to my contract locking me in for another 5 years. System hasn't worked now for 6 months.I must send a cancelation notice to them in writing through snail mail to cancel, or they automatically renew for another 5 years. I cant find any valid mailing address! If they come to your door offering service...well, I can't say what you should do without getting into trouble.

      When my sister passed away recently, AMP Smart gave me the run around and on my third call to the company finally told me that the contract goes through September and I need to continue the monthly payments regardless of my sister's death and that the house is being sold. When I asked for the equipment to be removed, I was expected to pay a $100 fee before they knew how long it would take to get a technician to come out, which mattered because I live in a different state.

      I really wish I could leave zero stars. Worst company I've ever had to deal with. They are making it impossible to cancel, after 4 months of trying. They are making up rules and other policies that don't exist on the initial contract just to try to trick me into staying. They are never able to get me through to a manager. They always say a manager is busy and that the "cancellation department" will call me back. They are lying. If you have to deal with this company, record everything. Every email and phone call. And use that against them. I really hope someone with enough resources and power can take this company down. I don't even understand how people can work for this company. I don't even understand how they are getting away with it for so long.

      I got Amp Security 2 years ago and recently had a chance to upgrade my security system through Vivint Security. Less $ per month better service better camera system. I have called several times and emailed Amp several times requesting final bill. I even sent an email to Amp revoking the authorization to pull funds from my checking account, which they blatantly disregarded. Amp Security is not a company that has integrity.

      Do not do business with this company! Their prices are ridiculous and they prey on the elderly. My mother, at the age of 90, signed a 5 year contract with them. I get that she should have read it thoroughly, but I'm sure there was a fast talking sales *** involved. Her house is sold and she lives in assisted living, but there is still a balance due to pay out for the cancellation fee for this supposed security system. They are a total scam! Buyer beware! Tell your elderly parents also.

      I would not recommend this company to anyone! I was moving to a new city and need my equipment moved . When I had a confirmed date I called to schedule the uninstalled and they refused to do a Saturday although I had been told verbal that wont be a problem. I had to take a vacation day to meet the tech. I had a 12-5 time window. When at 5 no one had showed up or called me I was informed they could not give me a reason why just that the tech was unable to make it. I was closing on my house in 2 days rescheduling wasnt an option at this point. They suggested that I leave the equipment and work out with the new owners to allow them to come uninstall at a later date. Who does that no one.. They said my only other option was to uninstall it myself. So I did. When I got settled in my new place and was ready for the install they tried to force me into a new contract just because I moved. I was told when I originally called about the uninstall it wouldnt affect my contract. Luckily I found the email and signed document of my move And no change to the contract. The account manager over my account was to write up my new account agreement 1st thing on Monday. I never got that email Amp smart customer service and tech depart was now being handled by a new 3rd party group and they promised better customer service then I had been getting. I finally had a date for installation after 3 months. I was told I would not be charged my monthly fee until they got my equipment installed. I received 1 month of not being billed. June 4 I was due for my install. Again the tech couldnt make it due to a family emergency. At least this time a got a text. Do note Im waiting on a reschedule ******* Because the date they had available Im ****** vacation and I refuse to burn another day of vacation on them, after calling them then and getting a supervisor the family emergency turns out the tech is no longer with themif I could I world give them 0 stars!
