      Opened a space in Aurora, Illinois 2 days ago. Store manager Sarah W****** made the process
      problem free. I was given a tour of the facility and was instructed on all aspects of using the
      facility. The entire process was smooth. This was a good selection for a storage facility.

      Nice clean facility in central PA (great location with easy access to major PA highways, airport and Amtrak service) with excellent customer service. Pricing is competitive and we are very pleased to have found this for storing our household goods and vehicle

      I was very satisfied with my first encounter and thereafter with the process to sign on, the manager Ashley took her time to explain the policy. Very professional and friendly person, helping me to understand the contract and cost.

      This review is of facility management practices not the facility itself.I visited this facility in ************ in person and was shown several climate controlled units at a price of $165 - $180 range and was told I could book in person or online.Later that evening I booked a climate control unit online at a rate of $114, much cheaper than the in person rate and received an email confirming my lease. After reviewing the email confirmation I noticed the unit came back as a non climate control unit. Not what I selected online (I have screen shots to prove it).The next morning ***** the manager called me to clarify my lease and informed me that it was for the non climate control unit and not the climate controlled unit. I shared with him that I had the screen shots to prove it was their location and he kept countering my statement with what they didnt have available and kept mentioning the ********** location. As we spoke I referenced the massive price difference online and noted that the unit I leased was no longer there. He stated because someone had leased it overnight, he was right. I leased the unit overnight.While the facility itself is clean, feels safe and easily accessible, the rental practices of this facility manager is indeed in questionable. If the manger isnt keeping updated with whats available onsite vs online the consumer should not be at fault.The manager was quick to reverse the charge to obviously cover up their mistake. I know the difference between ************ and **********. Deceptive practices in the form of switch and bait after booking.

      On 08/30/2022, I reserved and paid in full for 2-10x30 units (to a “start-up date”for September 1, 2022 and to vacate on September 10, 2022) to place my belongings into until my apartment was ready for move-in date on September 10, 2022. When myself and my hired movers brought the first load to the storage unit on September 1, 2022 (one of the movers stated that I only needed one 10x30 unit. So I went into the facility and canceled one 10x30 unit for a refund, the refund (I was told was put through on September 1, September 2, September 9, and again on September 10th @ 13th, 2022… YET I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REFUND OF $469.48!!!! And on top of it all, I was told if I vacate the unit by the 12th of the month I would get a partial pro-rated refund, so on the day of me vacating the unit, I inquired about my pro-rated refund and the worker said I can’t get a refund because I rented the unit for the entire month… but when I rented the unit(s) I STATED THAT I WOULD ONLY NEED IT FOR 10 days… yet Life Storage employee still said I can’t get a pro-rated refund… BUT IT HAS BEEN 2 weeks and I’m still waiting for the refund on the unit that was canceled the same day it was rented…

      I have the same complaints as many of the people here, as well as some additional ones. My wife and I rented a 10x10 unit 5 months ago for $183 / month (that price included insurance). Three months in we got a letter telling us that the price was going up to $240 / month. With insurance, it came to $263 / month. This is a ****% increase in less than 4 months. From the complaints below, it looks like this is their standard business practice. Two months ago, we got a call from them telling them that our unit had been broken into. My wife went down there, some of her jewelry had been taken, but nothing too expensive, and she didn't think it was worth it filing a police report and jumping through all the required hoops to get money back. Well, just two weeks ago we got another call. Our unit had been broken into a second time (this isn't in a terrible part of southern ********** either. The facility has a coded gate, many cameras, full-time staff. Apparently they are just awful at protecting people's property). This time a bunch of our power tools and kitchen gadgets had been stolen. We filed a police report, spoke to an officer, and the guy in the Extra Space Storage office told us to go to their claims website to file a complaint with them and get compensated. Well guess what? Their claims website does not work. It is just a broken link. They have an email you can send claims questions to, which I sent a somewhat unfriendly missive to, and a toll-free number that will probably send me in circles, but I thought I would come here first before calling it. They are bad at their jobs (protecting property), they rip people off with insane price increases, and they leave no way for customers who have been robbed to file insurance claims. I hope this company tanks.

      Just rented a space at *** *** *** in Round Rock, TX. The "leasing" service - don't remember his name was very helpful.
      Tracy - the lady at the storage facility was exceptional. So pleasant and helpful. She picked up my day with her attitude which is important when going thru the hell of moving.

      I rented a 10 x 10 unit on June 6, 2022 at $100 a month plus taxes and fees they told me it will come to $109 a month which was a lie it was $124 a month. So I ask them is this price going to change and they told me no it wouldnt so starting my fourth month I get a bill for $209 a month and I call because I think its a mixup and they said they sent me a letter telling me about the increase which they never did and that my rent shouldnt of jumped $85 in one month so were gonna cut it in half for you to increase avoid $40 more a month! I told The woman on the phone that when I ordered the unit I was told my price wouldnt go up and I did all this over the phone because I am bedridden and I really never received no paperwork saying anything about rent increase or anything like that because I wouldnt have rented it to begin with because Im on a fixed income! Now if I did something like this I would be sitting in jail right now how are these people getting away with this if you have any information of how we could bring these people to justice please let me know.We need to do something with people that are taking advantage of us like this and getting away with it and acting like they didnt do anything wrong! They know what they are doing and they are getting away with it and its not right!!!tugster67aticoud.com
