If you could leave lower than a 1 star review that would be more appropriate. In September of 2021 a door to door salesman contacted my mouther-in-law to inform her that Fluent Home, LLC was taking over the contracts from her current security system provider. Basically a lie as she was paying both security system providers. Contacting each company separately we were informed that she had a contract and would need to payout that contract. So, for a year and a half she has paid both contracts. AS her health is declining and will be moving with us permanently the first security company gladly assisted me. Fluent Home LLC customer service is very rude and refused to even discuss the issue. I did explain to them that this appeared to be a fraudulent company the preys upon the elderly with a security sign in their front yard. The reply was "That *** be your opinion". I would advise anyone with elderly parents with the service to sit down with them and find out what false statements were made to them about their current service and the service they were going to receive from a sham company. For others I would say please think more than twice before doing business with this sham of a company. Looking at the other reviews out there majority of them point to false or misleading claims made by the sales staff. Also, their customer service experience was the same as mine.Fluent Home, LLC

Its been so frustrating dealing with this home alarm monitoring company that is now merged or renamed API. It started 5 years ago with the door to door salesman who said there is no fee for the installation since they are using existing equipment. Once the technicians were done, they handed me a bill for over $200. Several attempts were made to have this bill forgiven but to no avail as the salesman, ******, was no longer working for the company. We paid $80 per month for three years knowing that we had to fulfill the contract before we could cancel the service. Once the contract was three years old, we called to cancel, but they said we had a 5 year contract. Several times I had asked them to send a copy of this so called 5 year contract that we supposedly signed, but i never received a copy. Once the 5 years finally hit, we called, emailed and US mailed a request to cancel. For three months after the cancelation was confirmed, they kept taking funds out of our bank account, depending on what customer rep you got that day, either they said they didn't receive any notification to cancel, or that they would refund the money. We finally received a refund for the three months they mistakenly took out of our account. Just when we thought we were finally free of Fluent, we received a collection notice. When i called to inquire about it, they said to ignore it, that the contract was cancelled, BUT today, they took out another payment from our bank account. It took 3 calls today to finally get someone that would help to remedy this, again, so i am skeptical this will be the last call i have to make a call to them. Avoid Fluent, Avoid API, or any of their affiliations, reading the rest of the reviews, contract and billing deception seems to be a common practice.Fluent Home, LLC

Since there was no way to add a complaint without giving them a one star rating. We had a salesman from Fluent come to my door and offered to lower my monthly payment and PAY OFF OUR BALANCE from our current provider. We sent the payoff at least three times because each time we sent it we were told they are working on it. Each payoff letter the amount increased and we were still told no problem to payoff previous provider. Finally a VERY RUDE customer service rep called to inform us that they were going to send us $400 towards our bill of $2,200. I told her no, that that was not the agreement (which I had in writing that they would pay the balance no matter what it was). I believe now they are a scam company. They make promises they have no intentions of keeping. We now have two monitoring companies that we are paying and get this. When I told them we want them to pay the balance and cancel our contract, they told me I would have to go to their legal department then they ghosted us. So they DECEIVED us with our current provider and now they are SCAMMING us. They came to my door, we did not contact them. As I said before, SCAM!!! My Fluent system is not working, 3 months after my current contract expired. I contacted them about getting it fixed and at the same time I added more equipment and upgraded others. After the contract was signed on 25 Nov I found out they have no technicians in my area that can do the work. The earliest date I have for them to possibly come is 5 Jan. I told them that that was not reasonable and as its after 30 days specified in my contract for delivery of goods and services that I want to cancel. They refused and offered me two free months. Two free months for a non functioning home security service with fire, gas, and flood monitoring. Totally unacceptable. I have engaged with my local government consumer protection agency to rectify this. Horrible support for their products. Avoid this company.Fluent Home, LLC

I am a low voltage tech. I find there techs on the phone a pleasure to work with. The company stands behind there equipment. My system went off once an they, the company, called fire and police fast. I think Fluent is a scam. I purchased a home, with the security system installed and gifted to us for a year by the prior owner. I never activated the system or intended to use their system because there are too many systems in the market that are cheaper and easier to use. Prior to the year being up, I was contacted to add my information to the contract so that they could update their records. I confirmed with ******* that I did not intend to use their system and at no point was I going to activate it. They managed to say I "signed" a contract and am now responsible for paying for a product I've never used. I urge anyone to stay far, far away from Fluent, they are not a reputable company and they have questionable business practices.Fluent Home, LLC

Do not use this company! Im nearing the end of my contract period and looking forward to moving on from this incompetent company. I have had numerous problems with the equipment over the years and its always been very difficult to get the problems rectified. Most recently my panel went out leaving us with the inability to set the alarm system. I called customer service to report the problem and they transferred me to technical support. They had me trouble shooting the system over the phone for more than an hour with zero success. They told me a service technician would need to come out to repair the system and I would receive a call from the scheduling department to arrange a time. After not hearing from anyone for more than a week I called to get a update on the situation. ( be prepared to hold for an extended time whenever you call) once I finally got to speak with someone I was told that the reason I didnt get a call was because they needed to send a part out in order for the technician to repair the panel. They instructed me to call to let them know I received the part and a tech would be scheduled at that time. Had I not made the call I would not have known what was happening. Once I received the part I made the call to inform them I was in possession and needed a tech to come out. Again I was told I would get a call to schedule an appointment. After not hearing from anyone for more than a week I again contacted them to see what the was going on. This time a was told they use a third party for service and they dont have anyone in my area. They are working on the situation and will be in touch when they have someone. Again after a couple of weeks I made another call. This time I was told they are still trying to find a service technician and I should hear from them in a couple of weeks! Here I am almost 3 months later and yet to hear from anyone. Never had a more frustrating experience with a company in my life. This company should not be in business.Fluent Home, LLC
