1 starDONT pay for 1-Day Shipping on a Friday aka save yourself $20. I am in an emergency situation without eyesight until potentially Monday evening because 1-Day means one business day aka Mon-Fri. I requested a change of price to 3-4 business day; since, if I had purchased them with that delivery expectation I would have STILL received them on Monday. There was NO WARNING or flare indicating only Monday-Friday delivery or estimated delivery day given at check out. Simply the statement of 1-Day express delivery for $19.99.I opted for that choice due to it being an emergency and with the assumed norm with any online business that it applies to 7 days a week. This is predatory behavior and when I attempted to reach out, they said to get back to them on Monday and request a refund if its not delivered. After not being helpful about the situation they asked me to buy more contacts. Extremely insensitive response.Review fromAnita R

1 starI uploaded my valid prescription and ordered two boxes of contact lenses per eye. The correct product was automatically selected by their system. I paid using my vision insurance, which should have covered the entire order.Soon after, I received an email saying my prescription was missingdespite having uploaded it. When I called (no written record), I was told my lenses had to be custom made, doubling the original cost. This was not disclosed prior to purchase. I had to reduce my order to one box per eye, totaling $276.88. Then I was told to pay an additional $24.28 out of pocket. They said I was given a 10% discount of $9.69, which didnt add up. My insurance confirmed they cover $300 and had no such discount limitation. The company only processed $250.More emails followed saying they still needed my prescription. I was told to ignore them. Then they said the order would take 68 weeks. My account later became inaccessible, and I was told to reset my passwordthough it wasnt the issue. Reviews show others had similar login problems.When I accessed my invoice, it included a $6.99 shipping fee, despite the website advertising free shipping. I was told the $9.69 discount covered shipping. If so, why was I still charged $2.70? They later sent a revised invoice with different discount breakdowns, which is concerning. I was also told I missed a $10 multi-box discountdespite originally ordering two boxes.Customer service was inconsistent and unclear. *** contacted my insurance provider, who is now investigating. 1 starAfter years of great service, I feel they have finally become to large and uncaring of their average consumer base. I order contacts a few times a year from them, using both insurance and without. I tried purchasing again yesterday but my account had been locked. I contacted support and they said I had owed from a purchase back in February but somehow had let me purchase contacts since and didnt even bother to notify me that a charge was returned. They refused to explain what was the cause or to help in any way other than to tell me the only way to pay for my contacts now is a certified check or money order. Im beyond confused and upset with the way I was pushed aside by 1800contacts. Ill be using lensdirect from now on. Be aware of the way 1800contacts handles business now. Switch and Bake Business - 05/29/25 charged extra $14.99 for 2-3 Days Quick shipping delivery, and then 05/30/25 informed Back Order for 2-3 Weeks. When asked for refund of Quick shipping fees through *************** No response from 1800contacts and still charged the extra $14.99 fees.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

Be careful ordering here. They claim the contacts are in stock and they steal the money from your card including the 20 dollars for 1 day express shipping. Then hold your money hostage at least another 10 days by claiming the product is backordered. It was IN STOCK at time of order when they took the money and then never even notified of the delay until I tried to find out why I had no tracking number. This company is fraud and theft by deception and needs to be charged in a court of law.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

I have used them for years and their customer service has been consistently great, fast, and professional. Yes, their prices are more expensive, but they have a price match feature that is easy to use--you just have to ask and I have never gotten it. Shipping is fast and exchanges are equally stress free. It is possible I could "shop around" and save a little bit more, but for me, it is not worth dealing with headaches.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

My friend asked me if I could help her find a great price for contacts. She had her prescription in hand........we called ***** Contacts and it was awful. The *** kept changing prices/numbers and didn't make clear or rational sense. I have two pages of notes with differing prices. From the get go I was the intermediary trying to help my pal sitting next to me needing the contacts. The first price she gave was $315.87, then later it was $305.82, then later it was $51.74 per box plus processing and shipping fees. That fee was an additional $98.98, then later $98.96...........the agent kept referring to rebates and other costs, she threw out numbers that weren't connected or adding up in any viable clear make sense kind of way. Felt like we were in the ***** rip off ************. The first question to this employee was to get the cost for a six month supply of Biofinity Torik lenses. THE VERY FIRST question.........then later she stated a six month supply was $152.91, that then went up by ten bucks in mere seconds. I wouldn't trust you to sell me anything. Can't believe this is what your ***s do to people entrusting you to get them the contacts they need.. She finally let us know that this lower price was the six month price and she denied that she hadn't said that earlier. I feel like we were royally jerked around and for what reason? To keep saying numbers and trying to dazzle us with bull until we either surrendered and overpaid or did the better thing.......we bailed and wondered what the heck that was all about. Shame on 1 800 contacts! Processing fees of $98.96 ...then she said no it's $76.48.......I said What??? She said I'm only telling you what you need to know. Then why I asked do the prices keep changing and why can't you make sense. Numbers are precise and orderly......your *** didn't or wouldn't make sense. I got your response asking for more information for the friend I was trying to help. There is no need to give you her information. Again we called this company on the 800 number and the representative was very dodgy with her responses. Her information concerning costs kept changing with every new sentence. My friend and I were on speaker phone sitting side by side..........and couldn't believe how crafty and the level of outright deception she was practicing. This person kept changing the numbers throughout the phone call. I worry about seniors being taken advantage of.......scams are all too famliar on the news/in life. We all need help and protection from these scams. My friend who wanted to buy wasn't going to buy from this company after what we heard..........but we still need a way to stop ***** CONTACTS from doing this rip off. lying scheme to others. AND to make it worse because we got the information on my computer in order to figure out the best companies to call to order contact lenses through I am now besieged with their promotional commercials via my ******* channel. I wish I could erradicate this company from my tv's and to also protect the public from being scammed. Isn't there a way for a state or country to shut them down? To keep them honest or close their doors? This situation we encountered was so bizarre. The woman would change the prices repeatedly and then deny doing so...........as if our ears didn't hear what she had just said???? So crazy........seemed to me the whole plan is to keep people confused and bamboozled and then take advantage of them. It is shameful, immoral and flat out wrong wrong all day long! I hope there is a way to stop *****Contacts..........seriously hope it can be fixed or stopped! They should be fined to hit them where it hurts! I only went to them for the discount and free shipping. I placed my order using a prescription I've used before. The order was processed but I receive a call hours later from a representative saying they couldn't ship it. I asked them to cancel, and they said I'd get a refund in 10 business days. Go somewhere else and avoid1-800 Contacts, Inc.

Stay far away. They scam you out of money buy trying to say they cant write a prescription after you pay for the exam and contacts. Instead of taking the exam first and then approving it. So they take your money and then tell you they cant fill the prescription. Complete scam. Worst doctors Ive ever dealt with. Cant speak English either. How do you even know what letters Im saying if you cant understand English? Dont pay them anything! They have multiple lawsuits!1-800 Contacts, Inc.

If they deem them unhealthy, they won't write a prescription, and will recommend you visit your eye care provider. As for the payment, we do not process payment for contact lenses until the order has shipped. The pending authorization drops from your account after the order has been deleted.
