      HealthEquity's business model appears to include keeping clients' medical funds captive for as long as possible, wrongfully if needed. I requested an account closure in February and it has taken over 3 months so far and I still have not been able to get my funds out. I filled out the closure form in February with HealthEquity staff on the other line, they reviewed the form after I submitted it and said it was good to go. It turned out that there was a minor typo in the city name for the transfer entity ("Forgo" vs. "Fargo") and I had to resubmit the entire form and wait another 4 weeks. Notification of the error and blocked transfer was not properly conducted by HealthEquity and they have failed to make things right, instead opting to waste hours of my time on the phone and holding onto my money for as long as possible. I'd give zero stars if possible. With all the unfairness and crookedness in the US medical industry, HealthEquity deserves a spot right up there near the top.

      Same issues as the people below. Thanks Health Equity for adding stress to my life bc you deny every claim. Thanks for giving me panic attacks bc Im getting harassed for not paying my medical bills. Thanks for sending me a card I cant use. Thank you to your terrible customer service **** who by the tone of their voice could careless. Thanks for your crappy website thats always locks me out and I cant reset my password without calling, then when you do call youre told to wait 24 hours. Im sure your team set up that way on purpose so you can keep a delay and keep people frustrated. Thanks Health Equity for being so amazing at being trash.

      I have faxed over the authorization for account closure and have been told that department has not received it? I have called numerous time to get access to my account online and given the run around. They give me a case number (now 3) and tell me they will send an email with a link to reset my password and the email contains no link? Then I call again and they tell me the same thing? This company has no problem taking your money but when its time to close the account and get your money back they give you the run around! This is scam this is fraud! Do not waste your money and your time with this company!.

      Generic replies to all email communication. Bad customer service. No support whatsoever. Says available 7 days a week, yet automated service goes in *******, cant get ahold of a real person. Do not use their online services where they say they will mail a provider funds as no one ever receives it. Then getting it put back in your account is impossible. The fact that they have an A+ rating on BBB is unbelievable. This company should not be allowed to do business.

      This company needs to do better!!! I am writing this review due to being inconvenienced, disappointed and frustrated. I called Customer Support last Tuesday 5/6 @****** due to my HSA card not working at the pharmacy. The *** told me I needed to create a pin (I have had this card since July without a pin). Went through all of the prompts to create a pin. At the end of the call it stated I could not create a pin at this time. Had to call back (now the pharmacy is closed for lunch). Was told the card was not valid, need to order a replacement card that will arrive within 7-10 business days. Fast forward to today 5/13, can't access the app every time I download it says there is an error) and can't access my account online. Called customer support, was told they did not see that a card was ordered on 5/6 (but my call on Tue 5/6 should have been recorded right:/) so she escalated my ticket, but stated I wouldn't receive a notification for 7-10 business days Then was told due to my account being locked online, it will take 7-10 business days for me to receive an email for me to reset my **** password! ***! Called back again because this is not making sense and was told it will take 15 business days to receive card, but something is wrong with my portal, and they do not know why. Remind you this an employee sponsor HSA program. I have doctor and dentist visits lined up and cannot pay out of pocket, hence the reason I have a HSA card. The lady stated she would escalate my replacement card as urgent (Case # ********) and my complaint was documented (Case # ********). This was given to me at 1:18p. Before speaking with this lady no one gave me a case number to follow back up.

      I have been waiting on my ************* card since I started this account last year in November. They are deducting my money from the account per month and I dont even have the card to use for health care. I requested a card three times since January and still havent gotten a card yet. Do not waste your time with this company. W

      Had a meeting set up by one of their ******************** ***** **** **********, in less than 24 hours. She was very helpful in getting me the information I needed to get in contact with the right Sales Person. She set me up with *** *****, who was very generous with his knowledge regarding HSA accounts. They provided all this help despite me not being a "trophy fish" account. Will be signing up for an account today.

      Stay away from them. Trying to close the account and its an ordeal. I called four support representatives and got four different answers- nobody has a clue how to close the account. In the end I googled it- it can take four to six weeks for them to get it done- which is absurd in a highly volatile market as they make you sell your investments . In the meantime they keep charging you fee for an account you dont use and you dont want.

      They just want your money. I submitted an account closure request and they waited three weeks to complete it until THE DAY after the monthly admit fee was withdrawn. Just spiteful.

      This is perhaps the worst financial company that I have ever had to do business. It is not by choice, but rather because we have no other choice (employer sponsored program). I believe that they intentionally make getting into your account more difficult than breaking into *************.
