I started the free trial and was building my family tree and everything was going fine. I noticed after free trial and I was being charged I went back to tree and all my family information I was building is now gone. I advised them I did not trust their service and wanted a refund. I called the customer service and was hung up on three times.

Terrible company first it's difficult to reach a live person they purposely force me to talk to a robot then finally he gave me the customer service number. If my estimate time of results is 2-9-25 why am I now a day after being told it's gonna be another 2 weeks. My progress has been on step 3 for 2weeks hasn't moved. This company is lazy and misleading and seems incompetent, totally slow and frustrating. Why under estimate your own work and by 2-3 weeks at that. *********************.

This company is a complete scam. They lure you in, false claims, and I cant believe ****** approves them. Barely give you any information, most of which you know. Then throw out a few loved ones names and hopes that you want to see more but charge you for them and get you to up. It is a total scam definitely needs to be reported. you trust a company with your DNA and then all theyre trying to do is get extra money and extra money and then dangle beloved ones names in your face that also is part of the scam. Oh I cant wait for this to be a big huge lawsuit since other ones are already going down the tubes. This is going to be a good one to look forward to, and I am all in.

I canceled my account in December. They took out the money today and when I canceled it again, they charged me another $25 cancellation fee. The way to resolve this is to refund my money back to my car that they have on file

It ended up costing over $40 for one night of use.I requested a reimbursement and they denied it, despite the fact that I have not logged on to their website again after the first night, all content is user-generated, and am being charged for literally nothing.I signed up for ancestry.com's free trial. I forgot to cancel it before it renewed; fair's fair, I got charged once. But now -- when doing a free trial, they require you to select a prospective plan, and I selected the cheapest one -- they say they're going to charge *a cancellation fee*. The cancellation fee is higher than the monthly subscription fee. I had to wait for my second paycheck to come in just to cancel future charges. Ancestry.com is predatory. Don't even do their free trial. Connect with your real family in real life instead. This is worthless... and even if it wasn't, it's definitely not worth over $40/hour.

Very disappointed with what I received from my dna test. I didnt learn anything I didnt already know, nothing about my ancestors except what countrys they were from and my traits many of which were wrong. I expected to be able to learn about my ancestors.

I have had terrible customer support over the last 24 hours! I received my dogs DNA kit and the results are wrong. Keep in mind I own a 6lb Dachshund and it says my dog is 40% Wolf/Coyote and then the rest is Poodle, Boxer, and another giant dog breed. Not only are these not close at all, they even got my dogs traits wrong. They said it was not possible for him to have blue eyes, he has blue eyes!!! The fur and facial features were all wrong as well even the color of his fur was wrong! I have called and been put on hold for over an hour and been hung up on 4 times now. I am not joking the customer support line has just hung up on me. I have asked to be transferred to someone who can help me and they just say their is no one they can transfer me to! I have called corporate office to no answer and the basic customer support line is no help either. Also people on reddit have shared their dogs results as well, it looks like Ancestry is just posting the same results for multiple people. I saw 6 different users who had the same exact results as my dog and none of the dogs even were close to the same breed! I would like to get contacted by someone at Ancestry to resolve all these issues.

I bought the *** kit, spit in the tube, mailed it to them. A month later they said my results were in. I signed on but there were NO *** results to see! Just a page advertising purchasing a kit. I several times emailed to ask them to just mail me my results since I can NOT pull them up on their website. NO RESPONSE!?I do not have a subscription as I declined having one. I just want the *** results I paid for!

Ancestry.com is an endless money pit. You really can't look at other people or do any research without spending more money. They send out endless emails saying they suddenly discovered another cousin and you need to explore the person but you have to pay more money to do it. What a waste of money. If you don't have a lot of money to throw away, Ancestry.com is not for you.

I was attempting to purchase two ancestry kits. Ancestry is using incorrect tax rates and are overcharging customers. I spoke to a manager (******) and requested that she correct the tax rate and she refused (offshore call center outsourcing). I requested that she discount the price of the kits to be reflective of the correct rate I should be charged and again she refused. I informed ****** if this was not corrected I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding the issue and she refused to cooperate.
