    On May 28th I saw an ad on Facebook stating I could buy a shirt “today only for $5.” We all know the “today only” is a lie as these campaigns run months, but I did purchase the shirt. Then they automatically enrolled me in a monthly “club” at $20 a month! I didn’t say that was ok! I emailed them roughly 4 hours after I ordered (when I read the email confirmation and discovered it) and asked them to cancel it immediately. The response was that I needed to send the shirt back first, though they hadn’t shipped it. Over 24 hours later they still hadn’t shipped and wouldn’t cancel so I posted on their Facebook ad. They deleted it within minutes. I commented under someone else’s comment and that was deleted almost immediately. Then they blocked me HA! They’re actively hiding the truth from people and refusing to cancel. I can’t imagine how many people they’ve got at $20 a month who don’t want their subscription but these people refuse to cancel.

    On 9/29/23 I purchased 2 t-shirts from this company and paid $27.95. The t-shirts arrived and I was happy with what I received. However, as I was paying my credit card bill this month, I realized there was a charge from Christian Divinity for $17.95 and I started investigating this charge and realized they've been charging me a "membership fee" every month since I purchased the t-shirts - the total they've charged my account is $113.65 In addition to the original purchase:

    1/9/24 $17.95
    2/9/24 $17.95
    3/9/24 $17.95
    4/9/24 $17.95
    I am dumbfounded by these extra charges. It was not clear when I purchased the 2 t-shirts that there was a membership involved in the purchase. I can't believe the audacity of this "Christian" company. They have not responded to my emails. I believe I have canceled my membership - but I don't trust this company. I'm expecting a full refund from this company for the money that I believe they have stolen from me. They've got my credit card number and have just helped themselves to my hard-earned money. Please help me receive a refund for the "membership" charges. Tomorrow is 5/9/24 so I'll be watching my credit card account to see if they charge another "membership fee" to my account. Thank you for your help in this issue.

    Christian Divinity is a members only company that offers members wholesale pricing on our Christina jewelry, apparel and accessories. We also donate a portion of profit to help distribute bibles to those throughout the world who would not originally have access. We are very clear about our membership, our entire website has information about it on every page. Additionally we require all members to agree to the membership before they are able to purchase from us and send emails to current members daily with inspirations messages and devotionals.

    After reviewing *******s message we disagree with her claim as she has logged in and finished setting up her profile within our community app. It is impossible to do this without being aware of the membership. We have also checked and saw the first time she reached out to us was on May 3rd, and her membership was cancelled immediately. We have responded to all of her inquires within a 24 hour time frame.

    Per our terms that ******* accepted we will only give product refunds within a 30 day period however we have gone ahead and refunded ******* for 3 months of service out of goodwill. If ******* has any additional questions we would like to encourage her to reach out to us directly.

    I wouldn’t have purchased a product where I was knowingly automatically agreeing to a membership with a monthly membership fee. I live on a fixed income and I want a full refund of ALL ‘membership’ fees this company has charged to my credit card. All I ever wanted was the two t-shirts that I ordered and received for the $26.95 price I paid. This is so frustrating.

    We understand you are frustrated however we are very clear about our membership terms and require all members to agree to the terms before they are able to checkout. Additionally we have sent dozens of emails to your email ****************** regarding the membership over the months you were a member with us.

    We have already generously refunded 3 months of the membership which is outside of our terms which are clearly state on the website. I was able to get it approved to refund 2 more months however this is the most we can do. We are very clear with the membership terms and you did agree to them before making your purchase. You have had unlimited access to purchase our products at wholesale pricing and login to our membership portal to utilize the amazing content we provide with the membership. We are a small business and can not afford to sell products and services for the prices we do without charging the membership fees.

    You are evidently “not clear” about your membership fees because I NEVER would have knowingly agreed to pay a fee every month to receive emails from your company. What is ”very clear” is that you are deceitful. I’m frustrated because I fell for your scam! I support my local church ministries and to think you’ve helped yourself to my money through my credit card is disgusting and un-Christian. I still want a COMPLETE refund of all of the so-called “membership fees” that you’ve stolen from me.

    Company forces a membership that i was not aware i was getting upon purchasing from them online and when i realized it i emailed, called and texted multiple times with no response back until after they charged my card and was told to send them back my entire purchase if i wish to get a refund for the membership fee that was charged on top of my purchase I did not authorize to be charged ***** on top of my 100 dollar order that i had purchased

    ***** became a member on April 15th and used her membership to purchase 9 shirts at wholesale pricing, saving over $250. All of her items were delivered in a timely manner, due to her complaint she was already refunded her membership fees however because we can not afford to sell shirts for so cheap without the membership she will not ever be able to purchase from our company again.

    On March 11, 2024, I placed an order. Cost was $29.59. We received and accepted T-shirts. Upon receiving my monthly credit card bill, I noticed that in addition to the $29.59 being on the bill, a charge for $19.95 appeared that we did not authorize. I attempted several calls to Christian Divinity and was never, ever able to speak with someone. During working hours, the phone went straight to music. I then tried texting ( I have all my texts back to April 5th). The replies appeared very much like a 'form letter'. I provided the same information multiple times and never made any progress. I received no response indicating that a credit would be issued for the $19.95. I received my next credit card bill and, once again, the $19.95 charge appears. I've attempted to reach out to the company via TrustPilot.com and noticed several other complaints such as mine, from other customers. I do not trust this company and will not purchase from them again. This has the look and feel of a scam as they have had plenty of time to react to their complaints in terms of better customer service and modifications to their website.

    While we understand you are frustrated with our company we would like to provide some clarification. Christian Divinity is a members only company. Through our membership we are able to donate bibles to those around the world who would not regularly have access and we also provide all of our members wholesale pricing on our products so they can either purchase for themselves or others without having to overspend on Christian apparel.

    We truly never meant to make you feel mislead. We post about our membership on every page of the website and we require all members to agree to the membership before they are able to purchase from us. Additionally each order has a content card that talks about the membership and we send out emails to our members nearly every single day.

    We understand your frustrations but without this small fee we would not be able to provide bibles and wholesale pricing on products. We simply could not afford to do so, we do however allow members to cancel anytime because we understand finances for our current members may vary.

    After reviewing the messages you had with our customer support we saw your membership was already canceled and you have been refunded already. There is not a whole lot more that we can do in this situation. Unfortunately because of the loss you will not be able to purcahse from our company again unless you contact us directly.

    On 2/20/24, I purchased and paid for a tee shirt for 15.95. Tee shirt received.
    On 2/26/2024, I was charged 19.95. I emailed and texted with Christian Divinity, they said this was a monthly membership fee. I never authorized this and asked them to cancel this membership. They agreed to refund me 19.95.
    No refund yet received.
    On 3/25/1924, I was charged again 19.95.
    I texted them today to refund me 39.90 and remove ALL my information from their data base.
    They do not accept phone calls, only texts to ###-###-####

    Apparently I purchased an item from their website and it is a members only website. So in their checkout process I guess there is a box you have to check or uncheck agreeing to the monthly terms until you cancel. After finding these charges on my credit card statement for the last four months, I canceled immediately and yet they will not stop emailing me or charging me! Despite telling me my membership has been canceled!

    Occasionally our system sill still email customers, this is a glitch on our end so we have officially gone in and removed your email completely so this will not happen any further.

    We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. In the future if you would like to take advantage of our membership that provides up to 90% off retail price on our Christian products or attend any of our live community devotionals please contact us directly so we can give you a special offer.

    Once again, we are sorry for the inconveninece this may have caused but can confirm you have not been getting charged and were in fact refunded for the membership charges.

    To whom it may concern,

    Christian Divinity is a members only company that provides a community to help women grow closer to God through providing live spiritual devotionals, eBooks and discounted pricing on all of our products. When customers become members they are given access to an account that allows them to see and join these devotionals hosted by our own spiritual counselor Kayla and they also gain access to the website to shop at the discounted pricing rates. For this service we charged $13.95 per month up until December when our rates recently changed to $19.95 per month. Users are able to cancel their accounts with us anytime and can give us a phone call or email us during regular business hours.

    On May 11th Therese ordered two t-shirts from us using the discounted pricing perk and joined the Christian Club membership program. We then charged her for the membership after her trial period 10 days later then monthly thereafter as per our terms and conditions that Therese accepted when she made her initial purchase. She then emailed us and requested to be canceled and refunded to which we generously refunded 2 months of her service which she agreed to and canceled her membership. Due to this complaint, to help her we have refunded her for all of the additional months she was a member May 5th - November 11th.

    We have attached a screenshot showing all of these transactions and that they have been refunded from our CRM. I have also attached a screenshot of what the inside of our membership portal looks like for reference.

    In the future if Therese would like to order from us or join our community she will need to contact us directly to have us reinstate her membership. We feel this resolution is more than fair and hope that both the BBB and Therese agree.

    I thought I was buying a discounted shirt . After purchasing I was charged for a subscription $13.95, I emailed the company and they said they would cancel it and refund if I returned the shirt. I returned the shirt and it was delivered to them 10/09/2023. I emailed again and they said they have to wait til their processing team gets it. Still haven't heard from them, this morning 10/14/2023 I was charged again $13.95 ,I emailed and reached out on Facebook to no prevail. I believe they are giving me the run around . I don't even have an email and password to log into the website to try and resolve the issue from there.

    This business does not appropriately disclose criteria for purchasing products from their store ---
    they deceptively bait you into a purchase and then later inform you of having ENTERED INTO a MEMBERSHIP. i purchased (3 ) t-shirts from them on 08/28/23 totaling: $39.95
    On September 7, 2023 i was then charged an additional $13.95--- on inquiry as to the charge they inform me it's membership dues!? this was not properly disclosed to me and it doesn't appear that I am alone in this complaint. If this company were transparent with this 'MEMBERSHIP ' then why aren't they charging it when you are checking out your purchase? No they don't want you to see it...........October 6, 2023 comes and they have charged me yet another $13.95 !!?
    I sent the shirts back ... mind you the order was not even correct. a reputable company would have acknowledged their mistake and sent a correction; no charge. Instead, they ask me to send the products back. Worst experience! and they call themselves 'Christian Divinity ' Oh my!!!!
    At this current date 10/18/23 i have been reimbursed $39.95 as well as the $13.95 for their October membership fee. i have e-mailed them multiple times asking that the membership fee for September 7, 2023 be reimbursed. They act as though they don't know what i am talking about. i have already alerted my credit card company. i will go as far as making a complaint with the Attorney General's office. Company's like this should not even be able to exist. Shame on you Christian Divinity.

    Every member is required to agree to this before checking out. We delay billing on the first membership charge to give new members the opportunity to try out the membership for 5 days and cancel it before their first billing cycle if it is not something they are wanting to keep. Additionally we send all new members a series of welcome emails and sms helping them learn how to use their account and take advantage of the benefits.

    On August 28th you ordered 3 t-shirts from us using the discounted pricing perk and joined the Christian Club membership program. You were charged for one month of the membership and refunded for that charge hwoever you decided to also call your bank and submit a chargeback for the t-shirts you purchased and kept as well. We let the bank know we were going to allow you to keep the tshirts and not refund the charge out of good will.

    I have attached a screenshot of the refunded membership and the refund for the tshirts. In the future if you would like to purchase from us please contact us directly so we can reinstate your membership. We feel this resolution is more than fair and hope that both the BBB and ***** agree.
